I absolutely love the idea of mix and match patterns. I've seen it with amigurumi but never with hats. I never swatch for hats either. I rarely if ever swatch for anything, but then again I don't normally make wearables either.
Ooooo! I like the multidirectional middle section. I have been looking for a hat with a similar design for at least a year. 🤔 Now I have to think about this
Looks like a great book! I love knitted hats! Just prefer the quicker make time with crochet! 😊😊😊. I use a swatch as a gauge when swapping yarns from what the pattern recommends. I will make a swatch and measure how many stitches per inch and then, knowing the size I want.l, just so the math. (Yes I am a STEM gal but way too old to have been called that! Ha!) This Bama heat is great for staying indoors, watching Olympics, and doing crafts! Praying for those affected by storm system Debby. Have a great day, y’all!
The heat has been crazy!! I am the opposite, I find I am much faster at knitting. Crocheting hats just does not go as fast for me, especially is I use a worsted weight yarn. 🧶 I hope you are well and enjoying these last days of summer.
@@yarning4asmile Crochet is easier in my arthritis, oddly enough! Knitting can aggravate it. Play piano and drums for over 65 years and your joints will talk back atcha! 😀
I love create your on path things! I know there are some knitting KAL done like this in the past. I wish there was more but that is an insane amount of work

I am thinking of starting a hat this weekend… 😬 Cause what’s one more project lol 😆
❤❤

Interesting book. I think I would be worried about the wear and tear also
@@MadMimisCrochetandFarming lol 😆 I am pretty clumsy but that’s just the way I roll.

I always wanted to learn to play the piano!
@@yarning4asmile Never too late to learn!
@n2creativity-ccladee640 time is my problem. A lady at our church teaches but I just don’t have the time. 😞
Ooo I have seen this book! What a cool concept. Mixing and matching for a hat. Super creative concept

@@yarning4asmile it’s almost like those old choose your adventure books.
Yes!! We were you a DND player?? Maybe that’s why I like those kind of books. 🤔
@@yarning4asmile I was a DND player. That’s possible🤔
I’ve got some of the other mix and match books you mentioned here but not this one.
I love it but I think I have come across an error. I have reached out to the editor and publisher because I can not find any errata on it.
@@yarning4asmile oh, that can really cause problems. Since this is mix and match it effectively touches a lot more patterns.
lol 😆 so the error has a story. The video will be released Saturday
Another awesome book review. This will go on my wish list as well. ❤️🧶
Aww thank you so much and it is a great book!!
