Well done. To increase the effect, I suggest to put the pan into an old plastic bag after spraying. Keep the bag tightly sealed. This will keep the cleaning agent moist throughout the process.

Those of you who ask how the pan got that way in the first place obviously don’t cook. I cook every day and scrub my pots and pans. Over time the build up is harder to keep up with. That is why new ones have to be purchased. So, you fast food people that only cook occasionally will have your pristine cookware forever. I have had to buy new cookware numerous times due to wear and tear. Real cooks do that. Thanks to all for offering cleaning solutions. That will ad some extra lifetime but sooner or later replacement will be needed. Also, the inside of pots and pans will deteriorate eventually.

My aunt has some really expensive pans my uncle got her as a gift. They came with a lifetime warranty and she could even call the company and ask them to come clean the pots. It's was crazy, but what the guy would do is heat the pans up and then use easy off to let it soak for a bit and lightly scrub the pans and then just rinse off everything. He only did it once and they looked brand new.

    • @dd1ddee

With some companies, if you clean the pans yourself you can make the warranty nullified. So It makes better sense to let them come clean ur pans as you have paid for that service, as much as it seems ridiculous!

I was trying to claim an aluminium muffin pan so couldn’t use oven cleaner. The put into the freezer overnight and getting the baked on food off was so much easier. I also used baking Soda mixed with water and a few drops of dish detergent and let that bubble away. Scraped of more with scouring pad and then I put it in the dishwasher . That did the trick. I also purchased silicone muffin shape and use them in the pan.

Every time I use a pan, if I am not going to clean it right then and there, I set it in the sink and fill it with liquid detergent and hot water and put the lid on it. Then, when I have the energy to scrub it, it's easy to clean. If I burned something, I soak it for a few days and then bring out a Brillo or SOS steel-wool pad. I scrub the bottom every time I scrub a pan.

This stuff is awesome for cleaning the glass on your fireplace or woodburning stove if it has glass. We tried everything from steel wool pads, simple green, to using razor blades to scrape the gunk off the glass. Easy off works that miracle every time.

Hard water stains on shower doors too! Let it sit for a few minutes then screen with the abrasive side of a sponge and the glass will be clear again.

@@mairwaugus5203 I agree, that's what I''ve done for years to clean the glass doors on my fireplace. I take a wad of newspapers, moisten with water, then dip it into some of the ashes from the fireplace. The ashes are a bit abrasive and works well to clean off the crud on glass doors. Finish the doors off with some Windex Glass Cleaner.

Hey - I find heating the pan (or oven to 250) first then applying the Easy Off makes such a difference. Works in about 20 minutes that way. It will put off some fumes so do it outside or with the exhaust fan on.

You can spray it with easy off and then place it in a plastic bag. Tie the end of the bag off and you can leave it over night. I've found used a 3M scotch brite pad has been really good for my stainless All Clad pain.

You can't do this on anodized aluminum pans, like Calphalon. It will remove that dark grey coating right down to the shiny aluminum base. And don't try this on teflon either.

    • @gwarlow

@hecate235 Is there teflon on the outside of the pan?

    • @duffman18
      @duffman18 2 роки тому +1

@@gwarlow no, there's not. They don't know what they're talking about
The beauty of a proper Tefal pan is that nothing sticks to the inside of it, even stuff like fried cheese. So you don't ever need to scrub to clean it (and scrubbing it just removed the non-stick coating anyway, which is dangerous because it's highly toxic to eat that coating so you don't want it to flake off into your food, and anyway it won't be non stick anymore once you've done that)
Just use normal mild dishwashing detergent on a tefal pan, and only ever use either a soft cloth or a plastic sponge to clean it. That's all it needs. Some people seem to think you have to scrub it really hard to clean a Tefal pan. The only reason they do, is because the first time they ever scrubbed it, all the non-stick coating came off, so it was never non-stick after that. It's baffling as to why people think you need to do that. Like, I mentioned using a cloth, but really you don't even need that. Just soak it in soapy water and rinse it out and it's spotless
All my tefal pans I've had for over 10 years, and they're still in perfect condition. It's really not hard to properly take care of them.
For the bottom of the pans, yeah, use some proper cleaner. I've seen people recommend all sorts of weird shit, like boiling the bottom of the pans in bleach, but you really don't need to do that, just use oven cleaner like in the video
But never ever scrub the inside of a tefal pan. Otherwise you'll need to buy a new one immediately

@@gwarlow anodized pots and pans have a special coating (not Teflon) on the outside. It has some advantages over regular pots and pans. I guess you can’t spray anything on them otherwise it might lose that special coat that’s in the outer part of the pan
