I would burn in 15 unprotected minutes of sun exposure. All the money we spend on our skin care and topping off our Botox and fillers is not worth it if we don’t protect our skin from the sun. Of all the stuff we smear and inject in our faces, why would doctors choose to villainize the thing that protects us. I’ve noticed a united front from all the dermatologists on all platforms and I really appreciate that.

Awesome video and very to the point. Thank you. I’ve worn sunscreen even when sun teen wasn’t a thing, I’m 50 years old and worn it since I was around 19 when it was the thick gloopy stuff that was awful to wear. Admittedly I only wore this then if I was out in the sun which wasn’t often as I had terrible summer allergies. However, I’ve never had any bad reactions to sunscreen, nothing has ever shown up in my blood count. I’ve had no negative side effects apart from the odd eye sting with various types. I use completely chemical now, mainly Korean and I wear it daily regardless of weather. As I said I’m 50 and people still thinking I’m late 30s. I have very few fine lines, just laughter lines, have no sun/age spots whatsoever anywhere on my body and I have never had any moles or lumps and bumps that caused concern. Sunscreen is a must IMO and I do believe it’s saved me from having to ever worry about things like Botox or fillers, my skin is aging of course, that’s something sunscreen can’t stop but it’s aging at a normal pace, not before it’s time. Look after your skin, prevention is always better than cure.

Can you please explain more about upf clothing? I've never burned when I was clothed and I don't put spf on under my clothes. I thought they protected me from uv light. Do they let some light through?

Yeah some gets through the fibers of the fabric. Upf clothing is most important for people who spend a lot of time outside, work outside etc.
Normal hats + clothing are still protective tho :--) Darker thicker fabric is more naturally sun protective than lighter thinner fabric.
Labmuffin has a good video about it
