      Nice, yeah I've been thoroughly enjoying mine as well! I wasn't sure how I'd like the C5 going into it (really the combo of the manual trans. and the convertible sold me on the one I bought) but over the last year I've really fallen in love with it and learned to love the old(ish) school charm the car has. :) It's pretty cool when a 20+ year old car still gets looks haha

      Hey Mason, nice work on getting your first Corvette at a young age, definitely the time to enjoy them haha Yeah, I was honestly surprised at how well it's handled so far, a little looser in the corners (I think it's just the tires though, should be similar weight dist etc.) but definitely a fun ride and looks sweet too!

    Give it a nice detail and change the wheels out to ones with a darker finish with polished lip for that updated look that will keep you enthusiastic about the car . It’s hard going backwards to an older iteration of acurrent model, but once the dust settles you’ll see that a c5 is still a great vehicle twenty years later. Removing the body side mouldings and a chrome exhaust plate are two other modifications you can try to update the look....

      I was just telling someone else, switching to the C5 has been surprisingly better than I had imagined, it's definitely a fun car and has the Corvette spirit, just in a plastic-ier wrapper ;) I've been wanting to swap out the rims, but have been super busy, but that is on the list!

      Thanks man, it was one of my regrets never having purchased a manual C7, so I figured I had to go with it on the C5!

    GarBear, I'm glad you didn't disappoint me by jumping ship with the C7 Corvette. The C5 was a generation that I missed because I was into Cadillac's at that time. One thing I have learnt is even with the best cars, when it ages a little you have an old car but when a Corvette ages it is still a Corvette with all the fun it came out of the factory with. Congratulations with your new CORVETTE!

      Hey there Brian, glad you like the new ride! :) Hopefully you can live vicariously through my C5 adventures haha I guess that’s a good thing about owning older cars now is that I can have my Corvette and my Cadillac, I just had to wait 20 and 40 years 😂 But I’m glad I could keep a Corvette in the family, it would’ve been weird not having one... the Fiero is cool, but it’s no Corvette.

    C7s are just a rehashed C3 redu with no flair. More holes and scoops do not a classic make.

    • @1Brain4Wheels
      @1Brain4Wheels  4 роки тому

      I can understand what you're saying, the C7 borrows a lot of design from the C3, but me personally I like the C7 just as much, but in different ways. The older Vettes with the smaller bodies looked sharper, but I like the exotic look they have now too...

    • @rickhunter6513
      @rickhunter6513 4 роки тому +1

      The C7 is an awesome car, but it never looked like a corvette to me. It reminded me of a transformer. Lots of sharp angles. That being said, C7 was the last of the manuals and that is sad
      C5, now that a corvette....pop up headlights 👍🏼

    • @1Brain4Wheels
      @1Brain4Wheels  4 роки тому

      @@rickhunter6513 Haha, yeah the C5 definitely got me with those pop-ups... that and the Fiero! :)
      And my one regret with my 2 C7s I had... not one of them was a manual. Maybe I'll get one someday, I feel like that would've been a fun setup
