I'd rather be a lot closer to the goal of $450 to go 130,000 miles...out of the question with an EV.
Especially when it's 500 miles to the next charging station that would work with it.
The logistics of building, transporting and maintaining these huge turbines makes them problematic. Siemens should think smaller and develop a smaller and more manageable solution.
So that electric caddy has a 450 mile range. I’m going to assume that is achievable in a vacuum going downhill at precisely 20°C.

It seems that so many things are built to the absolute minimum estimated stresses and loads. If wind turbines were built with components such as bearings were larger and stronger, the turbines would last longer, but no, they are built to a price point and no one will admit that. It reminds me of how transmissions are built now. Everything is engineered to the lightest and lowest cost possible, so they are usually the weakest part of a car.
Are you kidding me? Diesel buses are always breaking down from overheating. Hoses, plastics, and rubbers, all become brittle over time.
Thank you for the video. Blessings to you..
Very interesting with the busses, I work for Newflyer. We make Diesel busses hybrid diesel electric busses CNG busses and Electric busses. Right now we build quite a few electric, diesel and diesel/electric coaches but at least at my plant we havn't had CNG in a long while and it used to be we built a LOT of CNG.
It's how State county and federal keep their budgets up!
They have to spend the money every year or they don't get more! What a scam ❗
Indeed a car with manual transmission will be more reliable and will cost less than an EV in long run. And easy to fix it.
The engineering problems with wind power and EV makes me fear for new nuclear power plants. Companies will be cutting corners left and right in planning and construction. Years ago nuclear power plants were well built in USA.
Blow baby blow went to another level. Hahahaha. Great show Scotty.
13-hours? Yeah the goal should've been to get that to 6-8 to SOUND reasonable.
13 hours is barely overnight and would never happen if you have an electric car and plugged it in once a week.
Well said Scotty.
The problem with nuclear power is that the fuel for them is also not available in unlimited amounts. The more nuclear power plants we build, the faster we'll use the fuel for them and we'll be looking at renewable power sources again like wind, solar and hydro. Meanwhile, there are areas of the country where they are pushing to remove hydro-power dams. The answer is using a combination of all sources and looking for more. Conservation is also a very viable option.
We had the 2000 model Escalade in the past but never buying another one.
Thank you Scotty, and God bless you 🙏.
Toronto wanted to start ordering electric buses, but smartly decided to get a few from three different brands (one of which was Proterra) so that they could assess which ones would be the best over multiple years. I think it’s safe to say that they will not be choosing Proterra!
I know someone who just got a new Nissan EV. The salesman told him and his wife that with certain chargers you can charge your vehicle to 80% in 30 minutes. Apparently there are currently ZERO of those chargers installed in the US.
Left to right up to down and time to change. How long is this project going to take? That would be next week.
Scottie, Mr Pete on UA-cam has a video about wind turbines in Illinois that were put up in corn fields just a few years ago and now they are using detcord to drop them on the ground and put up now one's. The soil compaction of these things slamming into the ground and the heavy roads needed to get them out there are making the corn fields useless. You should check it out.
At one time there were electric buses and electric city trains
But they're all gone except for San Francisco I hear GM who's responsible for switching everybody to diesel
That's funny! I lived in Dundalk before moving to GA, and rode the 20 bus quite often
Someone needs to find a way to convert arm movement into energy, Scotty could then power the entire country!
What's crazy is these things are going in semis and that is very important because that's part of our infustructure and supply chain
You think not testing wind turbines is bad, wait until you hear about them shots everyone took.
