In the UK nobody can go through their teen years without hearing this song. Epitomises the peak of British music.
Agreee 1998 baby, but manc too. Its a rite of passage
Definitely UK rock bands are on another level. This track is a classic it's sad more Americans don't know it or even the Roses.
This is a great song but this is far from their best. this is always their first song when they play live. I'm not sure if they are still together but it was unbelievable when they reformed
They were absolutely massive in Ireland as well. Best band ever
Yes my man! Mid 90s in high school in Scotland. This was it, then oasis appeared, and all hell broke loose.
Greatest days of our lives.
58 year old yank here! This band was somewhat life changing. So underrated and so influential!
They were my band as a teenager, and I got to see them a few years ago. I cried.
Be more than a few years ago mate they’ve been split up for ages!
@@badgermayhew2076 2013 in Finsbury Park, I didn't realise it was 10 years ago. Time flies.
@@copiousfool I’m jealous mate I remember wanting to see them at T in the park, sadly neither the band or the festival are around anymore
@badgermayhew2076 I'm really lucky, I'm from the Dales but actually live in Finsbury Park so it was a 5 min walk home.
This song can put me into a meditative/hypnotic/high state of mind👌🏼absolute class
Iconic band for us UK people yet no one outside of the UK seems to know of them.
The way Reni does those little extra hi hats the second time around gets me every time. Fucking genius. Listen to more of the album!!
seconded
Nothing better in life than not only feeling adored and cherished, but above all loving somebody and being loved with all of one's heart and soul. ♥
Awe yes I totally agree 🌞💛
The intro to this song is just epic
Agreed 👍
Love The Stone Roses!
This is a whole UK scene / vibe in one song
I never heard it before... i must been sleeping 😌..."i wanne be adored..." 🎶💕👍❤
I love showing people new music 😄💕
@@Reactionmiss - I love it ❤ thank you so much - i am already kind of hooked with your Reactions...i send you much love ❤ for more to come and to discover 🤗🎼🎶✌ You are amazing 💕
Proud to be from the UK football hooligans anthem in the late 80s 90s 2000s
nice!! 😁
"I don't have to sell my soul, he's already in me." Yeah, no surprise they're famous
3:07 definitely was an influence upon Nevermind by Nirvana. Not as heavy as Nirvana obviously but similar guitar harmony/melody etc. C
beautiful timeless classic
Hey Manchester did it so well between 1980 - 1990.
New Order "temptation". The Smiths "There is alight that never goes out".
Heck ya!
Will check em out
heard this played out in a club again the other weekend, 30/40/50 year olds losing their shit. great moments
Haha that’s epic! Sounds like it was a good time 😎
Don't worry Ian, I adore you - always will ❤ I told you so at the V festival in Staffordshire in the VIP bar about 8 years ago ❤
One of the finest from Mad-chester😍
One of the greatest, if not the greatest, british bands of all time
🏴 Band not British! 😊
Still get goosebumps hearing the early Roses stuff. What at time to be 17…we were so lucky.
This is one of my favorite songs, and it always has a soft spot in my heart. It feels so atmospheric and big and strange but it’s a beautiful strange. I love the music and I think the way they did it encapsulates the scene they began perfectly at the end of the 80s. Love your reaction to the song I would love to see you react to, another song by them called She Bangs the Drums (Remastered)
I agree! & thank you,
I will check that song out.
@@Reactionmiss thanks 😁
Loved you reaction too stone roses you know the score already ❤
So thankful to grow up when this came out.. organically cool
Soooo good
Disclaimer - I am old - but I remember listening to all the Stone Roses tunes on my older brother's vinyl
Epic 😎
This song was in the movie 'Green Street'. It starred Elijah Wood from Lord of the rings :')
As an English football fan of 31 years, that film was ridiculously cringeworthy and inaccurate.
Given me the chills. good times.
Guitar comes from the sky ,like a thunder
Wooooooo
From the first time I heard it absolutely loved this tune 👏
Woo! Yeah!
What a tune
Yes 😁
Hands down the best seminal album of all time, bar none.
The best
😁
It won't be long before you realise the only bands that matter are all from Manchester. The Smiths, James and The Verve are also excellent. Joy Division are the greatest band of all time.
Well done for making a reaction channel where you're actually being yourself, not some caricature of feigned excitement complete with obnoxious thumbnail with your mouth agape (in the manner 90% of other reaction channels seem to favour).
I've never liked Joy Division but The Roses were so much of an influence on me when I was 14, I can't state it enough I wanted to dress like them so much and it was easy. I had a proper Reni hat, with the red white and blue. I've still got it somewhere.I was into them years before I'd smoked weed. Let alone done an E.
When I did E I knew what the Rose's were all about lol
The Verve are also one of my favourite bands
Actually I forgot, Joy Division were better live by the looks of the footage so they may have been a great band. I love Love Will Will Tear Us Apart but can you recommend any other tunes? because I'm a massive Roses and The Vere fan
Joy division grew on me over the years. I always had a theory though that really good music is born from hardship. That's why the north the of England produced so many amazing bands.
Happy Mondays Kinky Afro I recommend
Manchester la la la
Manchester la la la
checkin in ...
You should type ‘reaction’ in your title it’s more likely to come up in searches
Ahh yes I forgot lol,
Thanks for the reminder !
The guitar parts are known to every British indie teenager that are into baggy clothes and proper jeans
Yeah. I wanted to dress like them so much. It still affects me now, 35 years later
Brit Pop before Brit pop was a thing 👍
I wanna be a door
Me too #doorgang
I haven't seen this video before i blame UA-cam 🤔 but hey you look great hope you have a magnificent lovely day 👋 fellow Canadian woman 🗿🤘

Upcoming day I mean
Heck yeah! : D
Was wondering if you`d reacted to any 90s britpop, or this could even be late 80s I forget. But yeah is one of those tracks that has a very distinct intro and tune, but when I think about what the lyrics could mean I guess I feel a bit eerie personally.
I always thought the lyrics were about him being vain and having greatness in him. The talk about selling his soul, like to the devil but he's already in him.
Trippy is right. Whose turn is it to skin up?
just a shame they blew it on their second album
They didn't blow it, they just had years of not being able to record or release music due to law suits etc. What do you think to the turns into stone record. It was a compilation of unreleased song and b sides. One of my favourite recordings I've ever owned. It's got some amazing stuff on it. And rhe artwork is great too. Think it was released in 1992. I still have the original CD from 30 years ago
I've seen Oasis, pink floyd, led zeppelin,AC/DC live in concert all of which were fantastic but the best gig by far was the stone roses at Cambridge nothing else has come close
Point at which I think you bought in - 1:58
I think he wants be Adored.
😂
react to more british music please! 😄
Will do 😁
@@Reactionmiss looking forward to it
Nice. My favorite British band.
Sweet 😎
what drugs on??
Marry Me. 😍
Aw ☺️
I don't mean to be rude, but although a great song. It was the least of their songs.
I hope you will or have listened to thier greatest song, fools gold, especially the full length version.
Will check it out 👍
@@ReactionmissGreat for you and you won't be disappointed because it is wicked and way cool. The full length version doesn't have an accompanying video, because it just displays a black & white still group portrait photograph of the four likely lads from Manchester UK. ✌️
Mgmt were def inspired by these guys
