The Stone Roses - I Wanna Be Adored - Live at Parr Hall
Вставка
- Опубліковано 8 лют 2025
- At 9.25, there was a cheer as superfan Liam Gallagher took his seat on the balcony. At 9.30, there was a deafening roar as the four original Stone Roses strode onstage, then a rumble of bass announcing opening track I Wanna Be Adored.
As far as I'm concerned that "I wanna be adored" intro could last twenty hours and I still wouldn't get tired of it...
+Cyrus Budd you would if you played it every week live haha
+Jack Gilpin naa just kidding
It transports me to a higher place ...instantly mellowed.
same.. with pixies gouge away live
i'd rather sleep
I am from Moscow, and d like to say that I grew up listening to the inspiring, great British rock music of the 20th century( mainly progressive and psychodelic rock, post-punk). Without it my life would so poor. Some of the most significant days in my life were when i visited Roger Waters’s and Deep Purple concerts , when they were here in Moscow. This music can equally praise up to the sky and destruct us and that’s why it has always been so breathtaking.
Thank you Great Britain for your culture, for your style, for your music and for dreamy, talented boys from your industrial cities , who had been creating some of the most beautiful non material heritage of our world
And another thank You from Serbia
💓💓💓💓
Much love bruv.....from the U.K. to Russia......we love you xox
@@jimbehr5685 exept stalin of course, but the rest of you are cool.

Noel ?
This is the demonstration of how important was, and is, this band for an entire generation, unconditional love, and not only in Englang.
Absolute truth! Cheers from America! 🇺🇸
This is one of the greatest rock songs ever written.
Jajajajajaja
😂😂😂😂
Such an awesome crowd.. Not a single person, not even in the terraces, that isn't singing and dancing. Incredible performance
What you get when you come to Warrington ;)
Best gig I've ever been too.
In the documentary they show that for anyone to be allowed entry, they had to show up to the door with some sort of Stone Roses merchandise, so a t-shirt, a CD or vinyl, a flag, anything. Every single person in there is a legit die-hard fan of theirs, that's why the crowd is so manic.
people from every race and background enjoying this gig! This is why musicians have been , are making and continue to make music !
DalleDayul would a lemon have counted
The song only has about 30 words but its majestic, rises and falls like a wave, beautiful. We all wanna be adored i guess!
Hell yeah
Wow....I am nearly 70 and that is SERIOUSLY impressive...respect...That Drummer...After Keith Moon and John Bonham...he is up there as an equal...a real musician
The beatmaster
if u want to see a drummer that blows those guys to shreds, listen to Gene Hoglan play
I am a Brit ,live in San Diego US , love the band , I am a 75 year old lady
THEY are coming for you
@@thecandyman9308 wtf
Best intro of all time. This is a cult that grew and grew. You either get it or you don't. Its magic for those of us that do.
It’s beautiful to see everyone there having the time of their lives without filming the whole thing for social media
Doesn't matter what year your watching this.
if you reading this you have great taste of music!
Man that crowd is badass and having so much fun. Also, best song ever
I first watched the Shane Meadows film on a train back from Liverpool and I’m not ashamed to say I wept at this scene. For so many people in that crowd this was an impossible moment. To be watching the original Roses line up playing the opening track to the greatest album ever made and one which defined an era for so many. Like watching God shape the garden of Eden in Parr Hall, Warrington. Legendary stuff.
what film mate?
@@pierlaurenzi Made of Stone
Did you notice that was I think Shane Meadows with the camera at the start?
Yep many dont realise that this is stunning eh?
i cried😂
In from canada in 1989 I discovered the greatest band of that time 30 years on the still move me so thanks to you crazy Brits for the music one love
The Guitar from Squire at beginning Gives me goose bumps..... EVERY FKN TIME!!!
squire is bossman
Manis bass gets me every time though.

Totally agree. Amazing guitarist. In my humble opinion I can hear Hendrix influences in his tunes. Love it.
I love the Reni smirk when Mani fucks up within three bars.

A band that you can listen to through out time and still sound as fresh as the frost in the morning
Respect from italy this song for ever legend.
Can confirm this was the best gig I've ever been to. Fucking electric.
When something is greater than it's parts.
Four lads who can all play a bit, form a band and something just clicks.
Those in that remote studio where the first album was made said it took no time at all to record.
They are something so so special
love how they did this. can you imagine what those tickets would of gone for. but no, fans only bring a cd or a t-shirt and your in that 1100 to see a truly special gig. you can feel the atmosphere from the video. would love to have been there.
I can't believe that this beautiful song is 30 years old now. My favourite album👍
So jealous of all those who were at this free gig. Crowd looks unreal!
PLEASE tour the UK asap!!
Simply one of the best intros ever!

Genuine goose bumps every time i hear the start of this song 🙈
Could watch this a million times. If you know, you know.
Why is that every time I even hear them i get goose bumps!! The legends are back! Heaton, Finsbury and Amsterdam, best nights of my life!
Grity and real. Tune just sings Manchester and the North West. Amen.

These three musicians are about as good as you can get. That intro is one of the best you’ll ever hear
Amazing i still get goosebumps now 30 plus years on
So glad i so them live in Cologne germany in 1994, only two albums and already Immortal.
Watched this numerous times. When Mani kicks in with the bass it just flies. Seen them at both reunions at Heaton Park and The Etihad - banging!!
Six people don't like this? Are they mad?
What a performance; I'd have given my left gnad to have been there.
Saw them in Dublin a couple of months later. What a gig.
Reni was magic here and live & made me appreciate more what a role in major played in the Stone ROses sound. The "glue" of the band.
I wanna see more!
Yer man dad a dadadadadad
Probably the Greatest Band ever seen, flawless!!
@Stephen Larkin It's my opinion that the stone roses are the greatest band to ever walk the earth

Just fucking beautiful ....! Got the goosebumps and tears just listening to this masterpiece
They look humble and unexpected joy - shows what the moment (and crowd means to them - which is saying something given their personalities and indluence).
One of the all time great comebacks.
Ian Brown just sets the tone, what a frontman!!
Wish I'd been there the best band ever from Manchester.
A Great Song , and The Crowd's reaction is Amazing.
yep, nobody is listening anymore, everybody are just taping or taking selfies 🤦♂️💔
This energy is 🤌
In the very near future there will be another reunion gathering buzzing just like this one..... OASIS 🇬🇧🎸🎤🍺👊🏻
Feeling like the messiah just now?! You're predictions are playing out.
Still get chills every time the vocals start.

Pure class........this song could play for hours and I’d still want more 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 luv it
At almost exactly 3 minutes that man has no worries in the world whatsoever. Glad you enjoyed it pal ❤️💪🏻👍🏻
Amazing filming. Thank you Shane Meadows.
I watch this most nights with a glass of wine🍷👍
This was a free gig played as a warm-up for their Heaton Park concerts in 2011. All fans had to turn up with either a Stone Roses shirt, CD or Vinyl album to gain admittance.
I just love how pumped Mani is, it's infectious
Best night of my life
these guys are more than slick..... just AWESOME
I wish I'd been at this gig looks like their best one ever.
This is what all gigs will he like once they start up again 🙂 Eveyone is just so happy and hyped to be there, quite a magical experience to watch.
The coolest band. The coolest of comebacks..
The whole audience singing that is amazing.
BIBLICAL. What Quarantine with timeless tunes like this?
saw these 3 times at legends in warrington back in the day , they were awesome then and still are.
One of the most underrated drummers of the nineties, or ever?
Pete Townshend did say he was the most naturally gifted drummer since Keith Moon
I agree with Paolo everyone rates him. And without a shadow of a doubt the most overrated overused comment on T'tube is 'so and so are or is the most underrated [insert band name, singer, drummer etc etc].
Is he wearing that head gear as some mockery of the roses second drummer ?
He is overdoing it in this rendition to the point it becomes annoying.
he's one of the best drummers EVER
Outstanding strumming ..out of the world experience. Thanks for sharing.
praise for the crowd!!
One of the best english bands. One of the best song from one of the best lp of the nineties
Can gladly say I was there! Cracking gig
How much would have separated you from the ticket at the time?
@@MrWeeRhys nothing.
@@insertgenericusernamehere2402 Is there footage of the entire gig anywhere?
@@MrWeeRhys think the only stuff that's available is what they showed here and on the documentary.
Fucking goose bumps !!! Amazing band amazing songs and will never get bored of listening to them . I’ll have this on full blast when I’m 90 and still will make me move . Gods

Dublin 2016! here we go!!
+Robbie Tomkins fuckin bring it on
Even after all these years , the intro still makes the hairs on the back of my neck stand out
The Yanks just don't understand, they'll never have bands this cool!
they did actually.........G n R and Nirvana
Yes, cause The Stooges or The Ramones are so uncool compared to this
Pixies.
hüsker dü, replacements, MC5
Insert 50000+ bands and musicians here
This is my anthem! and aways will be! thank's Stone Roses since Brazil.
Great drummer
The anthem of a generation.
