It’s amazing. I’ve been on victoza for 6 months and saw a few benefit. Nothing as amazing as ozempic. Even if I think of a cheese burger. I feel sick. I crave healthy food and my blood sugars are always stable. One of the best medicines invented yet for diabetics!

I just found your channel today - my first day of starting Ozempic. Thank you so much for posting this info. My endocrinologist explained it well, but it was great to have it reaffirmed and to get that reassurance. ( I have a goofy memory after two bouts of cancer/chemo and a bone marrow transplant). I’ve been on steroids since my transplant 5 years ago (!) and my bg numbers have been all over the place. Memory problems as well so I’m hoping the once a week will really be beneficial.
Again, thank you for the information and the comforting tone in which you presented it. I’m now a subscriber!🙂

I found I couldn’t tolerTe it. Horrible nausea and stomach cramping for two weeks, took another few days to get it out of my system. They prescribed Trulicity instead but I’ve been afraid to start it. Right now I’ve just gone back to my novolog.
It’s just trial and error I guess. 🙄

@@cruzdirector8637 Ozempic really made me feel sick at first. There are two things that helped me. #1 Start with a very low dose, and as tolerated go up by a couple clicks slowly. #2 For me I found out I was still eating too much, which was what was making me sick. Now I easily eat much less, and have lost a total of 26 lbs in 7 months. It is like you said trial and error. Just don't give up on the Ozempic. It will work if you change your eating habits. Now I can't stand any oily, or greasy food. No heavy meals, or i feel uncomfortable. It takes a while, but since the old eating habits make me sick, I no longer desire things like spaghetti, pizza, etc. Good luck, regardless of what you choose. and My prayers for your success.

I went on Ozempic about 2 weeks ago and fortunately had no side effects, and it has made weight loss easy. I actually have to be careful not to eat too few calories so I don't lose the weight too fast. 95% of my food cravings for fatty, crunchy, snacks have disappeared, and so has the urge to overeat regular foods. I feel satisfied with eating ⅓ of what I used to eat and I am losing over 2lbs/week. My only negative reaction has been that I am tending toward constipation, probably because of the reduced volume of food, but 4 prunes a day has fixed that.

Thank you for posting this video. I too am a bit sensitive to medication, and get nervous taking something new. After watching your video, I spoke with my Dr. and she approved me starting at 6 clicks, to 10 clicks and then to 17. I got to 17 today, and it has been much easier I think, giving my body time to adjust to this medication. I only have a 1/3 of my colon and I was concerned about the constipation. I have found that prunes and water are very helpful. Thank you again! You made it possible for me to feel comfortable moving forward with this!!

Just started. I feel great. Have not yet reached 0.5 dose yet. I have one more weak to go. I am being closely monitored by my Endocrinologist, Cardiologist and Nutritionist. No problems, no side effects so far. It was prescribed for me just as you described it. You have to stay compliant with your eating. Good product.

All - when this video was made, Ozempic didn't have FDA approval for weight loss, so some ppl had issues getting insurance approval. It has now been approved by the FDA & ozempic for weight loss is called "Wegovy" & can be dosed higher (Ozempic's highest dose was 1mg, Wegovy can be dosed at 2.4mg).

I have a question about ozempic please. So before I started taking ozempic my blood sugars were always high, even if I ate well. But recently I was put on ozempic and wow night and day. I used to take novolog before my meals and the dr took me off of novolog because I was experience low blood sugars during meals. And I was on 50 units of tresiba and because of ozempic I now take 40 units a night. So last night I fell asleep early - didn’t plan onto and woke up at 830am. I totally missed taking my tresiba. But when I woke in the morning my fasting blood sugar was 103! I have a drs appt in a few weeks but does that mean possibly I can get off of insulin? I am amazed on how Ozempic is helping me more than insulin.

My toddler is 24 months old, and still breastfeeding 5 times a day, she is big and healthy with a good healthy appetite, and loves her mamas milk so much.
Thing is I have PCOS and I'm hypothyroid and I have increasingly back and hip pain. Also high cholesterol and pre-diabetic.
So I feel in a pickle, a few of my doctors said that because my toddler is already 2 years old, that there would not be a problem, another suggested to pump and discard 24 hours after the shot to minimize risk if any.
I would love to hear your experience and input.

The problem I have is the first 2 days after the weekly injection, I'm sick and don't feel like doing much of anything. During these 2 days, I have diarrhea and a terrible amount of gas in both my stomach and my colon. I have never burped or pass gas like this before. I thought maybe at first the problem would stop as my body became accustomed to Ozempic. No such luck! After 6 months on Ozempic my side effects have not changed. The problems are the same as the first week on Ozempic. I keep using Ozempic only because it has lowered my A1C which I could not control without it.

Hi Linda, No, time of the day does not matter for ozempic side effects. It peaks in 48 hours typically and side effects may last for few days. to reduce side effects you can have small meals, avoid fatty food, and avoid eating late. Ginger also help as natural antinausea food.

@@SugarMDs Hello Dr., since you have said avoiding fatty foods reduces side effects, does this mean that ozempic shouldn’t be used in combination with a low carb/high fat ketogenic diet ? What is the best diet to use with ozempic for non-diabetics taking it for weight loss ?

Hello...I read it's better to take it at night..you feel "less" bad about nausea etc...next week is my 3rd dose. I will take it at night. Took it in the morning this week..two days of nausea. Couldn't eat.

What else have you tried? What if you had a Guilt-free Gameplan to build confidence, realistic focus, and accountability to reach your weight loss goals?

Can I stop it after weight loss or I will gain what I lost?
