Nonetheless, I am sure every single one of us has experienced nausea, and/or vomiting on many occasions over the course of our lives. The problem with nausea is it is like fatigue, it is nondescript and could have countless causes, everything from early pregnancy to a viral infection and everything in between.
Nausea is also a common side effect of the GLP-1 RAs medications used for diabetes and obesity.
Let’s get into it and most importantly, learn how to manage it.

He starts talking about dealing with the nausea at 6:50.
Thank you
Thank you!
Thank you!
Peppermint tea is MAGIC for nausea.
I live on deTerra peppermint beadlets. Better than Ondansetron! But it gets expensive. I’ll try the tea.
Thanks!
24 hours into my first wegovy injection and no nausea so far! 🙏🏼
Just took my wegovy injection today. The nausea hit me about 5hrs afterwards. I took two chewable pepto tabs and so far I feel better after only 10 minutes.
Does pepto same to work every time you get nauseated? I was thinking of taking it right before going to bed maybe I wouldn’t feel it as bad 😆
I been taking my wegogy i am on week 6 and man I am sick for the first few days with nausea.
Be careful could really cause bad constipation
@@zhernandez8287 so 50/50 nausea and good days since they are weekly injections?
I was so scared of the side effects, and I had none.
never had any nausea from Ozempic. lost 113 lbs , about 20 lbs from my goal weight.
Good for you!!! 👏🏾 How long were you on it?
@@candij5632 1 year still on it . thank you ☺️
@@VintageDiscoveries amazing
Have made any other lifestyle changes like exercise, diet etc?
@@VintageDiscoveries thank you. Just finished my first week of the tablet form of Ozempic. Already was on a low carb diet with walking and badminton. Lost 2 kgs. Early days yet. Your journey is inspirational , i have 40 kgs to go to reach my desired weight 🤞
The nausea is real! Happens every time I eat, which in turn makes me not want to eat
The pain is the treatment. 2:03
This is exactly what happens…. 😂😂😂
Same
Dr said I would lose weight now I know how.
Take antigas medicine after you eat. It really helped me.
Just started the first week of Wegovy a few days ago. The nausea is worst when I first wake up. I’ve been taking ginger chews and over the counter medicine. Hopefully my body adapts soon. I’ve been averaging a lb a day so far this week. Good luck everyone.
Tu dr te puede recetar ondresatron un medicamento para las nauseas y ayuda sobre todo cuando empiezas el tratamiento ya luego el cuerpo se acostumbra y ya no mo nesesitas animo
It’s absolutely terrible!! I’m one of the poor souls who had sporadic nausea and vomiting. Took it for 2 months but stopped; gonna gather tips and try again.
If you get tachycardia, weird limb sensations, etc... get a urine pbg and ala test when you're at peak vomiting symptoms
Wrist Sea Bands work great, I wear mine all day long. No more nausea!! 😊
I have worn my sea bands for years successfully!!!!
I am ordering now lol
What one do you buy the one I got does not work at all :-(
Great idea! I’ll try that!
Which sea band do you buy and where do you buy it?
Started ozempic yesterday. Threw up repeatedly today. Felt sick all day and kind of dizzy. I recommend starting this drug on a Friday so you have the weekend at least to get past this side effect of it hits you.
@@hashbrowneater I had mild nausea for about 6 weeks but I dropped 20 lbs.
Did you stop taking it? Did you gain weight? I started today on ozempic
Get checked for porphyria if you have unrelenting vomiting and odd dizziness and limb weakness. It's a urine test for pbg and ala
Nausea for me wasn't really a problem ...my biggest problems Is fatigue and tireness...
My first GLP experience is with Mounjaro. I started back in September. I ran into severe nausea when I tried to titrate up. I'm not back on the lowest dosage and handling it OK with occasional nausea meds. This video definitely helped me understand the mechanism of why this is happening a bit better!
My first injection made me very nauseous for about 20 hours. After that it was gone and I never had it again even with other doses.
I pray this is the case for me
If you don't mind me asking, which injection site did you use for the first one and then those after? I'm about to take line and I'm wondering if taking it in the thigh would be to less nausea
This is the best info I’ve gotten from any of the videos i have watched.i h ave the nausea myself and the recommendation of eating smaller meals more often is exactly what ive been doing as my full bell rings very quickly. Thankyou for sharing this info and helping me realize that I have been doing it on my own and its ok.
I was very sick after the first few days... struggled with water unless I was sipping it and even had to take 2 days of work... However it has now settled and I have learned the hard way to eat little and often ... thanks for the great advice xoxxo
Yes, definitely, how much you eat has a huge impact when on ozempic.x
Same here had to take off work hopefully i will adapt
Best advice I have seen . Wish my Physician had done this
Good advice. I’m going to try these suggestions. Thanks Doctor.
I have been on the GLP-1 for 6 weeks now and the nausea is REAL! But....I am one to get motion sickness very easily, even when I drive! I read it will go away with time and that is correct. I never got to the point of vomiting, but honestly, I have been close. 6 weeks in and the nausea is subsiding. I knew I was going to be the one that nausea was going to happen to so I expected it and delt with it because....
I have already lost 16 pounds of the 50 I want to lose!!! Now, I am 52 and have been on everything you can possibly think of and since menopause nothing worked. Spent thousands of dollars the past few years and nothing until I stumbled upon this! WOW!
I have maybe ever commented on a video one other time and I felt the need to let you know, everything he said is exactly right with GLP-1.
Eat slower, you will be fuller, you will have an upset stomach if you eat too much and quite frankly, I am a big eater and with this, I don't have the desire to stuff my face all the time. For me, its truly a miracle! Worth the upset stomach I get here and there for sure. Its tolerable and eventually will go away as it is subsiding now. I truly hope this helps anyone with their decision to try this. If you are at a point where nothing has worked and it seems your body is just working against you, try this! It works!!! Oh, and by the way, MY STOMACH IS THE FIRST THING I SEE SHRINKING! Hope this helps :)
I'm also someone with motion sickness and I was vomiting really bad on my first three days of taking this. good for you!
Thanks for this video Dr. Dan. I've been on Wegovy for 3 weeks and I've lost 10 lbs. I've had light nausea here and there but just popped a ginger capsule and it went away.
Great , Useful advice! Thank you.
Immensely helpful video. I've been barfing like crazy since doc went from 1.5mg to 3mg. I had no idea my issue was Trulicity but everything matches what hes saying!
Thank you so much you answered all of my questions. I have been pretty nervous about starting this medication. It's been in my fridge for a 3 days lol. You make me feel better and knowing what most people feel and at what extreme. Now to decide if I should take it in the morning or at night.
This is me right now. It’s been in my fridge 3 days scared to take take it. Did you ever start taking it? What were your symptoms?
Thank you for explaining these details regarding the nausea. I have been searching on this topic because it's not made clear if I should take it on an empty stomach or with food on my stomach.
Now I understand that the nausea is brought on not by the food on my stomach but it could be my interaction OR because I ate too much prior to my stomach digesting the last meal I ate.
I need to eat small meals & from what I understand non-fried/greasy foods (which I rarely eat anyways).
Thank you so much! 😁👍
Very helpful! I quit taking ozempic a few months ago because of nausea and constipation! I just started on it again last night. I went from a blood glucose of 290 yesterday to 119 after lunch today so I have to do this!
yes, I agree results are great with lower blood Glucose levels so far. I'm just 3 weeks on ozempic. I'm having nausea at night. I have to start checking on what I'm eating. Thanks
Thanks for making these videos.
🥰🥰
Thank you for the very descriptive description of nausea while being nauseous... lol
😂😂😂😂
I have binge eating disorder and started Wegovy 6 weeks ago. I have only lost 3 lbs. Because of the severe nausea, I have been unable to binge, yet I am not losing weight like I thought I would. I have had 2 severe vomiting fits in this 6 week period. I was searching and found this video and im going to call my dr and talk to her more about it.
Are you hydrated? I know this sounds weird, but if you’re not staying hydrated your scale # won’t appear to move
I'm similar - I can handle any physical discomfort, except nausea. I'm only on week 2.5 of Ozempic, and I'm not sure I can last much longer. The fatigue, the heartburn... my nausea so far is dependent upon the acid reflux. Honestly though, the fatigue (including nonrefreshing sleep) is the biggest killer. It practically takes away one's will to live. Cheers from Ottawa. :)
On day two and I can't wait until the week ends. Never again.
I’ve had GERD for decades so I’ve dealt with nausea for a long time. I’ve found that Mylanta works the best for nausea and heartburn, the full dose. It tastes terrible though so I plug my nose. 😆
Same! I'm on week one day 5 and I finally feel normal. Holy cow. The nausea, the exhaustion, the dizziness. It's AWFUL. The fatigue is bizarre. Like I ran a marathon while on a hunger strike(not hungry btw), all while spinning in circles.
Please talk to
Your doctor. That last comment worries me.
@@PsychGirlRaven thank you!!! I went off the Rx and feel much better. :)
I started Wegovy @ 0.25mgs yesterday (May 16th, 2023). Today I’ve had some horrible nausea but! I’m hopeful the nausea will wear off once my body gets used to the medication. I’m so happy my insurance approved Wegovy!
Very good video but it took you a long time to tell us how to manage the nausea. I have subscribed and will watch your other videos. Thank you.
Hafa Adai from GUAM! Thank you for this! I started Ozempic in October 2022.
Started Ozempic in March 2022 @ .25. Experienced wicked diarrhea (the kind that you need to find a bathroom STAT). Moved up to .50 as the diarrhea calmed right down. Went up to .75, no side effects. Then end of August I was bumped up to 1.0. No issues, except for the burps (burp felt like I had just guzzled a carbonated drink). All of September and October and into November I was great on the 1.0. Then almost the end of November, the nausea hit me. Would literally knock me flat on my back. I couldn’t even go to the grocery store it was that bad. I called my Pharmacist (been dealing with her for 28 years) and she said it’s normal to get nausea when I’ve been on it this long. But I can’t understand how I went almost 3 months at 1.0 and no issues, to all of a sudden getting the nausea. I take ginger pills, ginger Gravol, suck on peppermint lifesavers, and will resort to the medicated Gravol if I’m really bad. My sugars are excellent (averaging 5.5 and that’s fasting, and my A1C went from 6.4 to 5.6) my weight was 227 in March and now it’s down to 206 (I’m 54 and 2 years postmenopausal, metabolic syndrome and PCOS before menopause). I’ve gone back down to .75, but the nausea is still there. I am so happy this weight is finally coming off and I’m doing all the tricks everyone is saying to do, but it’s draining me.
Msg me please. I have a few questions
Been there, got the t shirt, in t totally controls your life, I had to speak to my diabetes nurse, n she thought my blood sugars were too low on ozempic.5 so put me back to own to 0.25 much happier.
Thanks will look forward to next week about the constp.
Second week. Two episodes of nausea. The first one I thought I was going to throw up but waited it out. The second one was milder. Still on the 0.25mg dosage. Fingers crossed.
First shot yesterday and experiencing severe nausea and uncontrollable vomiting!! Dr appointment this evening
My mother had the vomiting with Ozempic, but it was associated with specific foods. She over experimental food tests, she found the foods that didn't upset her. Over time, she was able to consume more foods over time. My mother found some foods she enjoyed a lot before going on Ozempic, and she no longer had any interest in eating anymore. I will have to check in on her to see if that has changed.
Me too, have to be careful with red meat, fried foods, and some seafood, also fizzy drinks, have started charting what I eat, then will know safe foods (that don't cause sulphur burps, diarrhea and vomiting) and hopefully a better existence.good luck to your Mum xx
Just check that she is eating enough or she can pass out.
Glad I found this video. I’m 6 weeks in and have lost 17 lbs so I’m happy with the results but definitely having nausea and vomiting. Hoping it gets better soon.

If kids eat too much candy, they get a stomach ache.
I think ozempic causes the same problem but at much lower amounts of food.
I was on trulisity for 8 months. I list 80 pounds in 6 months time. I definitely got nauseous an the smell of good made me nauseous as well. I vomited a few times. My doctor didn't warn me of weight loss, I just kept loosing and didn't know why. I found out about having endometrial cancer and thought that was why. I felt better and felt pretty when I list weight. I'm getting back on it next week. I need to loose 60 pounds and I'm very hopeful and getting my sugars down is a plus. 2024 let's go!🎉
Great video. I went to a nice Italian restaurant last night and had to leave after the soup because I knew I was going to get sick… and I did! Week 2 Mounjaro… 2.5. I missed out on my pasta, darn it. 🤮🤢
I didn’t get any side effects nothing because I was busy all the time especially after my shot I was busy so no side effects wegovy I love it
First time watching your video!
I took Ozempic for several months and I did lose weight, however, I did experience nausea and vomiting because I have diabetic gastroparesis. The doctor took me off of Ozempic this week. I threw up so much I couldn't believe it. I'm disappointed that I had to stop taking the medication because it does work. Good luck to all that it's working for.
How long after you stopped did the symptoms go away? Two weeks for me and stopped, buy then the symptoms came back even though I stopped 2.5 weeks ago
@ericmaya3657 I'm sorry to hear that. I believe the symptoms went away right after I stopped Ozempic. You should contact your doctor. In the meantime, try Meczline. It's for nausea. I hope that your symptoms will go away soon 🙏🏽
just found this video I day 2 into my first dose. yes I have mild nausea I like toast when I feel the nausea. it helps me
Three weeks = Lots of Nausea and Vomiting. Will follow your tips. Thank you.
Just started - and next day found this
I just took my second dose of 1mg ozempic. I started on 0.25 the beginning of October 2023 with no problem. Started 1mg on November 9, 2023 and i was extremely nauseous and vomiting all day. Just took my second dose of 1mg this morning November 16 at 10:30 along with my other medication and Zofran for nausea. It now 12:10 so far so good. I'm really thinking i should not inject in my stomach and there will be less nausea. Someone shared that about there experience and that is exactly what i did this morning. Praying this works 🙏
Hi Dr. Dan - I've been working with a weight loss clinic in Ottawa. I've been taking semaglutide for weight loss for 6 weeks now... .25 for the 1st four weeks and .50 for the last 2. I've been feeling pretty crummy with the nausea in genera. I actually find the nausea gets worse if my stomach is empty so I've been trying to do the smaller, more frequent meals. That makes me feel pretty food focused... not feeling like eating but needing to eat so I dont feel worse. Always thinking of eating/not eating! I've lost about 2 lbs in the last 6 weeks (this is after losing about 20 lbs on my own and then plateauing). I'm 52/female. I feel tired a lot/low energy most of the time. I have to say the docs at the clinic are pretty "transactional" - and since I finished the packaged program I paid for, I was told I had to wait 3 weeks before I could discuss my med concerns with the prescribing doc. So my questions are these: is it normal to need to eat more on semiglutide? Is there an average time it takes for nausea to wane as a side effect? If I am not able to get support from the prescribing doc, do you feel pharmacists are well equipped to speak to these newer meds? I would welcome you thoughts and any advice you care to share.
Most people are not eating enough to begin with. Eating more is OK and necessary to help manage metabolic adapation. It varies person to person when the side effects go away! It will really depend on the pharmacist!
Eating more or eating more often?
I find overindulging to be a problem.
And Ontario pharmacists are good.
I think their requirements might be more stringent than other jurisdictions.
Pharmacists study medicine, specifically. Doctors study the body, specifically, but have knowledge of which medicines help to do what.
If I have a question about a medicine, I’m inclined to trust a pharmacist who knows how the meds respond within the body. I hope you’re doing better!
Stop and smell the roses 😂 great video..
Was just prescribed Wegovy. If I get too sick where it affects me greatly, then I'm just going to stop. I'll just workout & diet the old fashioned way.
With your guidance I titrated up thanks Dr. Dan. I also stopped my injections in the abdomen area. Since stopping the abdomen injections, I have no vomiting, just nauseated if I don’t eat timely and small meals.
Amazing!
where do you inject it? I heard similar stories from other people who inject to leg instead of stomach and don't experience too much nausea.
How do u handle fatigue?
I tried Ozempic for a little over a year. I started at the .25 mg dose and went up to the .5 mg dose. I had nausea with vomiting the first few days after my injection each week. Even though I was careful about what I ate and not eating too late in the day, I would get nausea in the morning - often on an empty stomach - and it made getting ready for work challenging. I took a 4 mg Zofran pill to help with the nausea on those days. My care provider suggested I go back to the .25 mg dose of Ozempic to see if the lower dose would help, as I was still experiencing nausea after nine months of being on Ozempic. My nausea never went away, so I eventually stopped taking Ozempic. However, my blood glucose levels rose and I regained the 20 lbs. I had lost while on Ozempic, which was disappointing. Now, I just recently switched to a different diabetes drug. Hopefully the new drug works for me. I think Ozempic was great for making me feel full faster and for the weight I lost. I still think Ozempic is well worth using - if it works for you and you can handle the side effects. My husband also takes Ozempic at the higher 1 mg dose and he does not have any of the negative side effects. It leads me to believe that it just depends on the individual.
My husband is taking ozempic he has 0 side effects I'm sicker than a dog.
Eat some raw ginger or Ginger gummies. That will clear the nausea immediately.
Eat some raw ginger or Ginger gummies. That will clear the nausea immediately.
This is a good video, I experience the nausea, this fella has great suggestions that I have found helpful, one thing I do is keep a little baggie on saltine crackers at work, in my car, at home... just a little nibble makes a huge difference but be careful not to snack on the crackers as I did along the way and gained a couple of pounds 😞
As this guys says, slow down when eating, hope this is helpful, I've lost 33 pounds thus far with a Keto style diet & semiglutide after 5 months, 30 more to go 😀
I’m going on the 10 week mark and down 26 lbs. I find the nausea is from over eating particularly breads and crappy foods. I eat higher protein meals and try not to eat late as it will be with me all night. If I eat late it will be an easier digestible protein or veggies. No steak past 4PM
As of last week down 39 pounds. Had to go off Semiglutide about a month ago. As hunger was fierce. No hunger for the first 4 months. Then it turned on like a switch.
Went on Monjourno tomorrow is my 4th injection. Took about 3 to 4 days for hunger go away once on monjourno.
I think that ozempic causes the same thing that happens when kids eat too much candy. But with a lot less food.
Which one? I'm on Tulicity feel the effects but not losing. I'm on week 5
Eat some raw ginger or Ginger gummies. That will clear the nausea immediately.
I'm on 9 and 1/2. Had pizza on week 7 and 9. Bad, bad ,bad idea. I seem to be able to eat fruits and vegetables fine and the occasional lean meat. I can't even stand to look at a pizza commercial!
I seem to vomit when I over exert myself, walking up a hill, playing a game, tennis or pickleball even several hours after eating.
The pharmacy ran out of the Ozempic, and I went almost 2 months without it. So, I started back taking it yesterday, and I have been vomiting since yesterday. I should have waited until this morning to take it. But I was so excited to get it that I took it around 5pm, an hour after eating chicken and broccoli Alfredo from Olive Gardens and 2 hours prior to eating chicken and rice casserole, green beans and cornbread. I was throwing up about 5 hours later and then again about 2 hours after that. I was feeling very drained and afraid to eat. So, about 2 pm today, I drank a slimfast. Well, about 5pm, the salty, acidic tasting fluid filled my mouth just like it did the other 2 times, and I threw up the slimfast. I am praying that this goes away soon. 🙏🏾
Omg! You are my spirit human! I would have done the exact same thing right down to Olive Garden😂😂😂😂
I did that had fried shrimp and a big piece of chocolate cake. Oh my gosh still feeling nauseated. And the sugar from the cake, it was like the sugar intensified. Won’t do that again. You pay the price ugh🤢🤢🤢
Have been nauseous for three months now....have thrown up once. Have just had my first three days now without being nauseated. Hope it stays away.....taking it for my diabetes....lost like five pounds...
Is dehydration an issue ?
Getting ready to take my second shot, as of right now no nauseous, when did any of yours start, I already don’t have an appetite
Ginger root really helped me while on Victoza and saxenda it only happened the first month or so
I need to be on this as it's helping me with my emotional eating
I can actually eat but really small meals. Is that normal and what supplements can you take to make sure your healthy
I am having horrible nausea, heartburn, vomiting and belching like rotten eggs and diarrhea to constipation.
My husband tried Ozempic. As soon as he raised his dose on week 4, he began puking profusely. He also started sulfur burping, which he normally only gets 24 hours before coming down with a stomach virus from food poisoning. He stopped taking it and is CONVINCED there’s something very toxic and dangerous about Ozempic in his gut. It took him SIX FULL WEEKS to get rid of the sulfur burps after stopping it.
All potential side effects. And makes sense in terms of how long it takes the drug to clear the body.
I agree
Been on Ozempic for several years now for my type 2 diabetes. I am still nauseous on the daily. Some days are worse than others. This drug is not for the faint of heart.
Started Sunday evening. Was hoping to minimize symptoms by taking in the evening. Monday was the worse. I was not hungry at all but I was getting a headache so had a yogurt, banana and later a salad with protein. At around 2pm the nausea was so bad that I started to projectile vomit. That the coworkers got concern. I went home and slept the rest of the afternoon. No more symptoms. Hoping it was the initial side effect and going to change my injection date to Saturday evening then move forward Friday that way I can at least be home should it continue. Before stopping all together
Sick as a dog with nausea but losing weight. Pepto bismal helped.
I was pretty nauseous the first week after starting Ozempic. I found a little club soda really seemed to help take the edge off.
What’s club Soda ?
Eat some raw ginger or Ginger gummies. That will clear the nausea immediately.
I'm nausea all day every day and I've been on it for a year!!
I struggle with nausea when I slightly over exert. It sucks!
I'm about to start on .5 ozempic i pray it goes well
How did it go?
Side effects also depend on the dosage your doctor first prescribed you. I have heard some start at 7.5mg and that is exactly why the side effects are terrible. Doctors apparently (some) aren’t starting at the 2.5 loading dose and increasing every 4 weeks. This makes it so side effects are non existent or very minimal.
Ive been using Trulicity for 6 months never been nauseous nor vomited. Combining it with special intermittent fasting for diabetic. avoiding carbs/sugars and I constantly exercise. lost 25 lbs in 5 months. lower A1c and cholesterol. My only concern is that I just watched a doctor’s video in youtube that says Trulicity and similar medications make cause pancreatic disorder😮. is this true? So far my last months test were all good. the only side effect I’m experiencing is constipation.
Been on it two weeks. Never felt so sick. My doctor pretty much gave me a suck it up butter cup tone. Though lost 6 lbs
How about using sea-bands acupressure to help with nausea ?
I was slowly ramped up to my final dosage. It didn't have much effect on my diabetes the first few months because the dosages were low. The doc slowly ramped me up to the highest dosage of Trulicity, and then it seemed to have the desired effect on the diabetes and then it triggered slow and steady weight loss. I don't know what I am going to do now, because my Trulicity seems to have become the newest Hollywood thing for weight loss and and Doctors are writing inappropriate prescriptions for Trulicity even though Trulicity has not been FDA approved for weight loss, which has caused severe shortages of these drugs. I don't understand why Doctors are allowed to just prescribe things for conditions the drug is not approved for. If you are prescribed Trulicity for Diabetes, just try to bear with the nausea, treat it with some anti nausea preparations, and keep in mind, it will pass as your body gets used to it. Just hang in there and you will ultimately be rewarded with better blood glucose control!!!
Literally had to put down the phone from watching this video to go and vomit 🤢 I took my 1st 1mg dose of ozempic on Sunday. I was on a lower dose before that made me vomit but no weight loss. I really hope this does settle down.
Can I take zofran with it?
I just had my first injection.25 and have been in bed for two days feeling so sick!!! 😢
Hi dr Dan, would zofran work with nausea?
Started Trulicity .75 last week. omg, been nauseated vomiting 3x a day. when taking my medication pills with water I throw it up. not good, need my meds. I will call my Dr.
I took my first mounjaro shot yesterday for my type 2.......was ok until today and had some upset stomach issues but they are not as severe tonight........I had the same issues whenI started Metformin years ago.....I lost 60 lbs as a result but oddly gained it all back over time.....same dose....same metformin it just seemed to wear off? I hope this medicine works....I have cardiac issues and need to lose the weight.....also my A1C is 9......I love your channel BTW
Been on 0.5 for over a year and a half, doc put it up to 1mg four months ago...since the bigger dose, after 2 episodes of projectile vomiting, diarrhea and also 24/7 nausea i give up. Its making me take time of work..been in bed all weekend, and living of water and 2 slices of toast. ... just sick of feeling really unwell...im on it for diabetes2,
Since I started a few weeks ago my nausea was pretty bad. I was looking on UA-cam to find an answer as to how long these side-effects would last. I came across a video from a doctor that explained that some of his patience had severe reactions as well. Looking at the pen, it takes about 18 to 19 clicks to get to the 0.25 mark. He explained you could cut that in half, assuming you have spare needles to use. I did exactly that last Sunday and I am doing so much better. So I will stick to that another week and then moved back to 0.25 doses when in doubt I could even just use 3/4 of the clicks. It was that or giving up which I was not ready to do. So this is definitely an alternative that works.
Eat some raw ginger or Ginger gummies. That will clear the nausea immediately.
So exactly how did you do that? Did you just pull the pin away sooner? You cannot reuse the pen after it has started.
@@chloenkitty I have pens that are good for 4 injections when using the full doses. And yes, that means the pen is usable multiple times. You only need extra needles if you use less units so it may last you maybe twice as long. The package only comes with four needles.
The doctor in the video explains that you dial the pen to the full amount, but that you can choose to use less clicks for a lower dosage. At the end of the video you see the pen he’s talking about
So You don’t have to use all those clicks, I counted 18 clicks for the 0.25 dosage and I used half of it for the first few weeks. I live in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. I cannot imagine your pen is different from mine.
Here is the link to the video of the doctor that explains it. I hope this helps.

@@GewoonelsJustels so did you reuse your needles?
@@ThunderIronFamilyAdventures no never. I don’t want to take the chance of getting an infection. I have plenty of needdles available. I can be thrifty, but with this kind of thing I do not want to mess around. By now I have lost 22 kg not sure how much that is in.lbs. I remained nausea for a long time. Finally, I found out that my dosage was too high and therefore I ate too little the nausea came from not getting enough food. I never had that problem before I never ate too little LOL when I changed my dosage, I was fine.
Im starting mine on Monday, im so nervous for these side effects.
subsribed instantly
I’m on Mounjaro and I’m sick almost every week. I take Dramamine
Of note - significant nausea from Wegovy. Then... flank pain. Week 1. EDIT: Week 10. Much better. Don't eat fast or big portions. Use Meclizine.
Was considering taking wegovy until I read these comments… I am very prone to nausea (sea sick, car sick, sick while pregnant) I can’t imagine taking this and being okay… bummer!
Hello Dr. Dan,
My mother is experiencing dizziness after the first shot of Trulicity,

I started Ozempic 3 days ago and I have extreme nausea, mild headache and slight body aches. Overall feeling very terrible. I’m waiting for this feeling to wear off. It’s not something I’d be able to live with. However, it has banished my cravings and appetite so that part I like I can see how this will help me lose weight just can’t tolerate the side effects. Finger crossed they go away!
It takes weeks to get out of your system. Cant even flush it out. Hope you feel better soon ♥️
zofran really helped me but it caused more constipation problems. The advice he gave a really works too
Talk about head pain and drastic sleepiness
Never had any side effects while taking .25mg's of Wegovy except a burning in my throat. I'm going to be taking .50 soon and am worried the side effects will hit me.
DR DAN What to do for fatigue..Is there a video on that?
Yup! Check out this playlist

I mainly have nausea when 1. I'm working out, during the cardio part OR... 2. When I haven't eaten in hours. Sometimes 2 am, 3 am, when it's not an eating time. Any additional advice ?
Yesterday was my first injection semaglutide. I have vomitted today. Was no fun.
I did made sure since the injection yesterday to stay hydrated, do b12 drops, drink lots of water and drink electrolytes.
I did feel a little better after vomiting. My headache lessens a little. I do still feel tired, but the b12 drops helped me hang in it while feeling tired, but not as worst.
I had no nausea or diarrhea for 3 months on Wegovy- but at 1.7 I’m flattened by both. I’m barely functioning. 🤢
