@@vshetty77 I am on Ozempic. I think I just have a really good insurance plan. I have Aetna and they own CVS, which is where I happen to go. They didn’t make me get a pre auth or anything. I had my hands on the pen within an hour of leaving my drs office. I had tried a few months before when I had United healthcare and they wouldn’t approve it until I tried another ineffective drug that I can’t recall the name of. I stopped taking it because it was a stimulant and gave me heart palpitations. A few months later I got the Aetna and asked my dr to try again. And it went through.

The little secrets that I've learned throughout the years that makes a difference:
1 - Like the Dr said, CHEW SLOWLY.
2 - Drink a cup of water first thing in the morning. (Hot, room temperature or cold)
3 - Drink green tea 2x a day (Hot or Cold) (preferably after a meal)
    4 - Avoid sugary drinks.
    These 4 alone work miracles!
Any form of exercise will be the cherry on top.

Thank you so much for the last parts of this video explaining and advice on better and continuing weight loss during and after Ozempic.
I was up to 1.0 and have lost 28 lbs and a perfect AIC! But at that dosage I was having horrible side effects. So my doctor took me off Ozempic for 6 weeks for my digestion to rest and heal. Now I'm back on Ozempic, starting over at .25 dosage. I was loosing weight at the .5 dosage and great AIC without major side effects so I will go up to that dosage and stay there.
SO in me saying all of this, I have not watched any video where it talks about people who already have IBS, CROHN'S, GASTRITIS, HIATAL HERNIA, Any other digestive system issues... Will ABSOLUTELY have worse issues with taking Ozempic or Wegovy. That's what happened to me. I can handle Ozempic .5 dosage, but not going higher. I got such bad digestive system side effects on 1.0 that I couldn't leave my house. So this needs to be addressed in videos too for digestive sensitive people.
Thank you again for this video 👍😊

It would be wonderful if everyone could get this who needed it but right now the people who have diabetes are in need of it more. It's a shame that they didn't think about this prior to putting it out as a weight loss drug and other drugs like this are having the same issue. I am type 2 diabetic and thank God I have been able to find the doses that I need of the medication that I'm on but in the meantime it is very difficult for others who are in need of it because of diabetes. They should have thought about this ahead of time made overproduction of the drug so that this wouldn't have happened. I can't believe that they as a company didn't think of this knowing that the United States has the highest obesity that there is in the world. They need to start producing this in huge amounts to be able to get it to the people who need it whether it be for diabetes or weight loss. But for people like the Kardashians who are using it as a prop for their show should not be able to have it if their BMI is not off the chart. And they aren't the only celebs that are doing this. And because they have money that they can just throw away unlike a normal person they're scarfing up all of it and none is left for those who are truly in need.

I take .25 of Ozempic for my diabetes. It is really helpful. I had to make some life changes so I stopped eating sugar and very few carbs. I have lost about 15kgs since November. I only started the Ozempic 5 weeks ago and I am just starting to tolerate it. I had very bad nausea and even threw up once. My sugar levels are controlled and I continue to lose weight so my Dr. and I decided to keep me on the .25 dosage. I was so relieved because of the side effects. I try to go for a 45min-1hr walk 3-4 times a week. Otherwise, I am not doing anything different in my daily routine. I am sure I would have a lot faster results if I was pushing myself with exercise. However, I am not really interested in that. I live in the Swiss Alps and the walking that I do is enough for me. I wish everyone well on their journey to better health!

I see comments that some viewers believe it is unfair for those to use the medications for vanity as a way of weightloss. However, you may not be aware of the ever increasing reports of people being prescribed these medications for weightloss due to metabolic disorders/syndromes, autoimmune disorders, preventative measures for those that are borderline i.e. diabetic high cholesterol etc or for currently diagnosed conditions such as diabetes.

I have pcos and therefore I have an insulin resistance. I’ve been on ozempic since March 2021, I started at 317, my highest weight ever. I’ve since lost 110lbs. The weight melted off for like the first 40lbs then it slowed down but I’m not complaining because I don’t have any loose skin although things are sagging more than they used to but I chalk that up to not being my current weight in over a decade and with me being 33 now. I’m 60lbs away from my goal weight. Throughout the time I’ve been on ozempic, I’ve experienced nausea here and there but never actually threw up, the gag reflex is insane though, it’s very problematic when I brush my teeth. There’s been plenty of diarrhea as well but I blame that on the metformin, once I changed to delayed release it improved but it’s still present. All in all, finding an endocrinologist has changed my life. I have 99 problems but gaining weight with the inability to lose it due to insulin resistance ain’t 1.

As far as reversal, no, it didn’t reverse it at all HOWEVER, since stopping it, I can say it definitely helped everything else work better. I’m still on birth control and Metformin and before I went to my first endocrinologist appt, I hadn’t had a period in nearly a year. My periods came back. Since being off ozempic, they’ve stopped, even with birth control. Again, I was already having this problem before ozempic so I don’t blame it. I have hirsutism as well and while I was on ozempic, it started thinning and the growth slowed down. The only downside was that since the hair was fine, it struggled to pierce through the skin so I’d get ingrowns but learned to manage them. Now, the hair is thick again.
My appetite returned with a vengeance, that’s been my biggest problem. But I’ve been on phentermine for a few months now and am only just now starting to feel a slight decrease in appetite, no extra energy or anything.
All in all, I highly recommend giving ozempic a try. Just get some nausea drops or tablets, take some type of fiber to keep things as solid as you can, and the gag reflex will be whatever it will be, it took months for it to go away after I stopped. Weight loss is fast the first few months but slows down and in my opinion it’s better that way because you’re not buying new clothes every month. As soon as I have better insurance, I’ll be getting right back on it.

I just started Wegovy today. I did Saxsenda for a month leading up to this and had decent results. I started at 6’1” 346lbs and in a month I’m down to 332. I’ve been big my entire life, no one could understand why. My parents average size, my sister average size. I weighed 75lbs going into kindergarten, 220lbs by 8th grade 330 by senior year. I’m bigger an taller than everyone in my family both sides. Only thing i ever read that made any kind of sense was a medical article that said if you take a lot of antibiotics before the age of 2 you destroy gut biome and people who did grew taller and bigger than average. While at 9 months i had a form of meningitis and was hospitalized for a few months taking a lot of antibiotics. I never ate fast food, my parents didn’t buy us soda, all home cooked meals… idk i always felt like i was dealt a bad hand.

My experience. 1st six weeks lost 40 pounds but i was so fatigued, i stopped my regular exercise routine and just did nothing, barely went to work. Nauseous all day, poor sleep. If i ate i felt worse, if i ate poorly like fried food i wouldnt be able to function until i had diarrhea. I didnt function but i lost a load of weight.
I lost weight in the beginning because i couldnt eat. Now 10 weeks in, i am eating larger amounts so i can work and do normal activities . My weight lose has significantly slowed down. Im still eating very strictly with terrible digestion problems. 4 days of water diarrhea and the worst sulphur burps every 30 seconds. Sleep is terrible and sometimes during the day im so exhausted i question if im going to have to make some drastic lifestyle chages to deal with it.
Its depressing telling your kid not today i feel crappy. Im starting to exercise again. 10 miles every 3 days on my exerise bike and daily walks with my dog. Its amazing to watch my sugars drop and my mental state improves aswell. I think exercise is the key to battling the side effects.
The consant battle with eating makes me want to stop all together. So i did for 3 days. The first day was horrible. Bad headache and complete lethargy. By the middle of the second day i regained some desire to do stuff and by the third day i felt incredible. i broke my fast with a french toast turkey sandwich and i felt horrible. I could make a list of more agreeable foods but i really wanted the french toast .
Im looking forward to loosing another 40 pounds which will put me at my target weight and hopefully my diabetes will be more easily controlled. In December my doctor put me on insulin, my sugars where 25 to 35. My 3 month was 12. He called me 4 weeks later and told me i no longer need insulin as my pancreas is producing insulin again. My sugars now jump from 5 to 10 and rsrely go to 12.
Im happy to say i went out yesterday to get me and my 2 kids ski clothing and am super excited to go skiing next weekend. My 14 year old wants to work out with me. I asked him to let me do the cardio alone. Its my time to meditste too, but we set up the weights and i look forward to working out with him.
Im really hopeful and i dont really care what side effects ozempic gives, i am getting my life back. Being over weight is horrible it robs me of so much

At 26 weeks on Ozempic (the first 4 on .25, then on .5 ever since), I've lost nearly 45 lbs, bringing me back to my pre-pandemic weight (I gained a lot after starting an SSRI). The bulk of this happened in the first 20 weeks and things have slowed down since, especially because I fell victim to the shortage just before Thanksgiving 😂. The fatigue has caused me to resist exercise. However, my diet has changed because I just actually get full now, which it felt like I didn't before. I may up my dose to get myself to a "healthy" weight range (I was technically overweight before the pandemic), but this stuff is really great. Side effects can be tough sometimes, but if you're really struggling with chronic hunger or any kind of insulin resistance, it's worth exploring this.

I’ve been taking Ozempic for about 6 months now, and this month is the first month I’ve ever had a problem getting my hands on it. I guess I’ll just have to wait and see. This is one of those drugs where it might work for some, and might not for others, but it has worked for me, with very few side effects. My doctor started me out at .25, and steadily increased me every 4 weeks, and I’m currently on the 2mg dose. The 2mg dose is the only dosage I’ve had a slight issue with, and I compare it to morning sickness. (My youngest is 20, but you still recall vividly what morning sickness is like😂) it’s manageable, and I get through it, because I’ve lost over 50 pounds with Ozempic. I was pre diabetic when I started, and extremely overweight. My thyroid was off the charts, and my blood pressure was way too high. Along with some thyroid medication, my thyroid is now normal, I’ve been able to get off of my BP medication, and I’m no longer pre diabetic, and 50 pounds lighter.
With any life style change I guess, it does help to drink water, make decent food choices, and physical activity. I’ve decreased my water intake with the change in seasons, and I can tell a huge difference. I work in the garden during the summer, and would drink water like it was going out of style, and the weight literally just melted off, but now that I’m not working outside anymore, and not drinking the water, it has slowed. I know what I need to do to get it back on track.
However, I have not been able to get my Ozempic this month, and have no idea when I will, so I’m going to try to do the best I can without it. Good luck, everyone!

I hope for you, we are able to get the medication back as it has helped you weight wise and with you pre-diabetes. You can always ask your physician about alternative injectable pens that are out there. I have had to do that for my father who is 69 and a type 2 diabetic. He is also obese and in the long run, it has helped him loose roughly about 20-30 pounds since starting it earlier this year.
And have your doctor reach out to your insurance company to make sure it is covered before going to the pharmacy and hearing the news that it's not covered.
Hope this helps some and keep your chin up, you're on your way to success!

Diabetes is not always caused by diet or lifestyle. It can be hereditary or just simply not producing enough insulin. Many Vietnam vets have contracted diabetes because of agent orange and other chemicals. I was still active duty infantry and i returned from my year long tour in Afghanistan with type 2 diabetes at the age of 29. Individuals taking ozempic for weight loss without a medical condition should be prohibited from purchasing. This is more of a money grab for the developers instead of helping those that have diabetic or insulin complications.

There continues to be a U.S. shortage of Ozempic nationwide, due primary to continued off label prescribing by physicians for weight loss. For the past year, diabetics cannot get the medication reliably or on a predictable basis. It's frequently sold out and back-ordered, and frequently diabetics who must take this medicine to manage their condition are waiting several months before being able to get it. IMHO doctors prescribing Ozempic off label for weight loss while there are shortages like this are professionally irresponsible. Diabetics like me depend on this medicine for our lives. If you are unable to lose weight on a diet, through low carb/low sugar food choices, professional counseling and more exercise, and need to lose weight on a semaglutide, you should be prescribed Wegovy, not Ozempic. Alternatively, your doctor can speak to you about 8 other weight loss medicine alternatives.

Only issue I have is anorexic for a day or two after injection day and mild constipation that I use Metamucil at hs and senekot hs
Occasionally mild abdomen pain after day of injection
I just started 1mg dose which I am maintenance till reassessment in March by metabolic physician
I have no problem with supply but I’m in Canada there’s no shortage here
I think you should expect changes in your entire body as it’s correcting a metabolic disorder everything needs to get used to being in homeostasis all your glands organs bowels etc but also some drugs don’t work well with some body chemistry every drug even vitamins have interactions in simple Tylenol and aspirin for example
I thank that resident and dr bondy for finally getting me on the correct treatment and actually successfully treating acute blood pressure and respiratory issues id like to say curing but I’m not sure anything is ever completely cured in the human body except bacterial infections and viral infection
Ozempic has I believe saved my life literally from stroke heart disease and by control of blood sugars etc has started reverse disease symptoms
Don’t let a few unpleasant controllable side effects stop u from achieving health
Remember even with physical work out there’s pain discomfort diets that give you gas bloating diarrhea nausea and terrible unpleasant diet foods I find that more turned off and stop doing them and without little to no results

After my second trip to the emergency room because of metformin, I decided I no longer wanted to be ill. I went home, and threw everything out of my fridge. I stuck to mostly a keto diet, swam one hour every day, and treadmilled for another hour. It's been almost 3 years, and I am generally around 125 pounds. I am 5"6 and 58 years old. No one believes my age. I went on vacation with my daughter recently. She is 27, and the tour guide could not believe I was her mother. It takes time, discipline, and determination, but it can be achieved. I am not always strict with my diet. I eat whatever I want on vacation, holidays, and any other celebrations. After being at a certain weight for a certain amount of time, your body tends to stay there. If I gain a few pounds on holidays, I drop it back as soon as I return to my regular habits.

My father has type 2 and still has access to it, there’s a prioritized reserve for people with diabetes vs off label users. I’d check with your doc…

@@SA-oi5bw none of the pharmacies in my area have had any in stock, regardless of what my Dr says. My Dr switched me to trulicity.

I started Ozempic three weeks ago and have seen results but I am getting heart palpitations which I believe might be a side effect for some people. Hope I don't have to stop it.

Is there any natural substitute or supplements that act like Ozempic?

I’ve been taking it 1x a week for about 5 months now cause I am prediabetic & it makes me so mad cause now everywhere is out & I can’t even fill my prescription, it helps my sugar & I’ve lost 25lbs. People are calling it the, “Hollywood drug”, & it’s not fair for us that actually need it…

Eating 2000-2500 calories a day you will gain weight not lose it. Eating slower will help to keep the weight off. Eat on a smaller plate as well. I am still on Ozempic and it is working really well for me. Not to many side effects and I have lost 25 lbs so far.You are not hungry. You should stay on the lowest dose possible. Switching to fast will make you sick.Eating crap will make you sick.I am a type 2 diabetic so this has really helped me. I have changed how I eat and how much. IF I am not hungry I don't eat.I think it is important to have a plan when you no longer need to take the medication. Maybe a low dose every other weerk to keep on track plus eat slower and on a small plate. You have great advice. I would say on this medication go very slow the slower it comes off you can keerp it off.

Not necessarily true. The minimum number of calories based on current weight and height, can be over 2000 calories just so the body can expend the required energy to function properly. My minimum required calories is over 2000 calories, and when I make sure to eat 2000 calories, I LOSE WEIGHT! Many people are over weight because they do not eat their required minimum of calories.

my housemate hit her goal weight with Ozempic but regained about 75% of it back within 2 months of stopping.(she lost about 35 pounds)
on Ozempic she was eating fast food 2 or 3 days a week until full but obviously smaller amounts, she had some hair loss but any time I mentioned about eating protein and metabolism she dismissed it as "over thinking"
I'm 3 months into using Ozempic now and I'm trying to do everything I can to keep my metabolism fast and eat plenty of protein. After watching this I'm going to include eating slower as well.
