Hello Jay. I apologize if the following questions have been asked and answered in another video... #1: What happens to NAV functionality? Does the .14Si have built-in NAV capabilities like my stock stereo has? I know that the OEM Boom Box NAV wasn't great, but I like to use a couple of NAV/GPS options while touring. #2 Can the audio controls on the tour-pak be remapped to perform other functions as is possible with the controls on the handlebars? 1.6 went live yesterday and we have not tested it yet to confirm what does or does not work. Go to maestro features and see if there is a place to change units to metric. I have not tried this but on other vehicles like my Jeep you change it in the maestro features
@@volunteeraudio I have changed the units in maestro settings and it does display metric on the radio but it still displays in miles on the odometer.
I had to hook my original radio back up and go into it and change it back from metric
@@rbestul thanks. Do you mean you just plugged in and not reinstalled? Once you changed it with the old radio everything went back to normal with the new radio?
@Looney Bin yes I just unplugged new radio and plug old one in quick and change setting on old one to standard and unplugged it and hooked back to new radio and my odometer was back to standard
Have you all found out how to display the odometer reading if possible?
Are you talking about changing units from Mike to kmh?
I have the soundstream 14si but I'm having an issue with the wireless android car play.... when I turn the radio on it won't play, I have to turn the bike off and on again then it will connect.. sometimes I have to do that multiple times, if I'm using android car play and or Bluetooth do one of them need to be turned off in order for unit to turn on correctly without having to turn on and off again
Wireless is not built in, what wireless adapter are you using?
@Volunteer Audio I know it's not built in..I bought the wireless android adapter when I got the radio.... matter of fact my guy from getwired audio ordered it from you guys....... also correction it will play but you dont hear any music so when I turn the radio off and then wait a few sec then turn it back on once it boots up then you can hear the music.... so I was trying to see what can be done so I don't have to do that every time I get on the bike....
@@seangoins2514 it most likely needs an update in the wireless adapter, what brand was it
Has anyone connected an iPod touch via usb? Mine won't recognize it and requires me to connect via bluetooth.. Not what I want..
This is because when you have apple CarPlay a radio no longer supports iPod. This is apple requirement
Has anybody had luck using a carlinkit 4.0 wireless dongle for android auto with this radio? I cant get mine to pair.
We use the RDVFL or zz2 both work great, carlink is the cheapest lowest quality one
Thanks guys I just looking for a cheaper option as the RDVFL is close to $500 by the time I land it in Australia. Just to much money to justify, I will have to live with the cable.
@@johnjakowenko8521 I understand
Thanks
No it does not have built in navigation, the Apple Maps, google maps or Waze is always up to date, give live traffic info and work so much better than built in navigation and yes they still work even outside of cell range as long as you start the route in cell range
Yes tourpack controls can be remapped as well
What's the deal with firmware updates? Why do the files no longer exist?
There are no firmware updates for the HDHU14SI, if you try to update it you will brick the radio, updates are done to the maestro MRR, not the radio
@@volunteeraudio So why do the head units have different firmware versions?
my firmware:
MCU: HDHU-14SI-221112
SOC: HDHU.14SI-221123-11
My buddy's:
MCU: HDHU-14SI-221227
SOC: HDHU.14SI-221221-12
You cannot update the si radio or you lose connection with the MRR, there are not going to be any updates
I have a 14 CVO I bought a radio off of you. I can’t even find fuel economy on the radio.
Good, it is not accurate lol
@@volunteeraudio what does that mean? Good I can’t find it and it’s not accurate? It’s not that important to me but I’m surprised you said good I can’t find it. My gas gauge is not very accurate. It could be on empty and I usually have a gallon left but. Still trying to figure out the radio I don’t have Apple CarPlay on any of my vehicles, so I was just asking questions. Sorry.
@@mickc4633 sorry, in the video we go over several updates from idatalink, the fuel economy is in the maestro menu, we discuss it not being accurate, I thought you were joking saying you could not find it. I don’t think it is an important feature but for sure it will tell you that you are getting 500miles per gallon currently because idata did not put a gas tank size in that is accurate yet
@@volunteeraudio oh, that’s awesome 500. I am on my way to Tennessee in two weeks. Good. I won’t have to buy gas for the whole trip. I like your radio your amp and speakers. I don’t know about the maestro. I’m not good with that kind of stuff. I would like to move the buttons around. You should do a video on that. I’m not a tech guy, I’m good with a wrench. I can take stuff off and put it back very meticulously too. Don’t know about Tech technology too well, but I’m trying to learn all I can because the day without learning is a day wasted.
push the button on the right of the handlebar, on the original screen I see the outside temperature, is this function also available in this new radio?
Holding the Info button will bring up the custom gauges, external / ambient air temp is a gauge option
