Is the mother possibly having a tiny problem with the caucasian mother ? Using her race and the tribal laws in order to get back with her son? Grandma isn't really concerned with her granddaughters best. She wants to get back at her son. She's one of those parents who refuses to stop abusing their children, no matter how grown up they are. And why is the granfather so eager to have this young child in his house?

If there was court ordered for the child to be somewhere other, then parents taking the kid is illegal.
The grandmother stopped talking, but her husband said that they didn't hear their side. What an idiot. He still wants to fight to keep the child, every lie he was told by the grandmother, and he believed it. But he still thinks the child belongs to them. I'm sure Waco's mother lied that she never abused him. I wouldn't want either of them around the child until they prove they won't take away their child.
I would Not have that stepfather the grandmother husband around my little girl! He has no right that’s not his blood are his place to be getting between a child and that child’s parents
Welcome to America, where anyone can try to take your kids away for something like a diaper rash, bathing schedule, etc
Because some people know how to lie and manipulate to the lawyers and the judges. They go by with what their client swears up and down that a child is being abused by an ex-spouse, or the grandparents step in to take their grandchild. And all it does is cause heart ache, anger and then revenge. And it's costly to keep going to court and pay fees and for a lawyer and paper work. It's clear this grandmother is a habitual liar.
Mama is a phony, the crying is a diversion!

The stepdad is odd. It sounds like he has marbles in his mouth. And either he has Parkinson's or mental issues. The grandmother is a blatant liar, and it takes her a few seconds to answer Dr. Phil's questions. She probably rehearsed her answers. Some alcoholics are good at lying and all of a sudden forgetting they were abusive to their children. Sad that the native-American children aren't more protected by abusive parents, Waco was ignored by the police and sent back home just to endure more abuse. I hope all is better for this young couple.

Take a wild guess. Their daughter comes home after 4 days with grandma and that “grandpa.” She starts having nightmares, and wetting her bed. The wetting the bed part is a HUGE red flag!

I got only good impressions of the parents. Maybe they are young but they certainly love that little girl and I don't believe that they need DCFS or anybody else constantly snooping into their lives. Grandma needs to understand WHAT she is in that child's life - she is the grandmother, period. Not the mother; not the surrogate mother; not the guardian. She is Grandma and her only involvement is to play Crazy Eights card games and Duck Duck Goose out on the back lawn!!! Her opinions aren't needed; her ideas of what is "right" for this child isn't needed. The parents are doing a great job of being parents. Now Grandma needs to learn her place in this child's life. And I agree that there's something just plain weird about how hard the step-grandfather is trying to get custody of that child.

Just because parents struggle financially doesn't mean they aren't good parents. The child has a leg up just due to having a home with both parents in the home. The grandparents sound a bit sketchy IMO. I believe the childhood dv charges against the Mom based on how she hesitated when asked.

When I watched these episodes on Dr. Phil show yesterday these children had been kidnapped and I also been watching all week and that's messed up and some children end up living in foster homes because of the abuse and neglect
The mother's husband needs to shut up and mind his own business. Like Dr Phil said, "you are married to his mother and he needs to support her." If that were me, I would NEVER leave a child with him! And mom needs to get real and admit whatever happened to him as a child. Hopefully they back off and get things straightened out. For the good of the granddaughter.
