This 20 minute yoga for flexibility routine is designed to stretch a little bit of everything with basic yoga poses in a longer holding full body yoga stretch. Perfect level 1 flexibility yoga for getting limber, lean and flexible whether yoga for beginners or just feeling a bit tight. 💙 *Try the HIPS SLOW STRETCH:* www.sarahbethyoga.com/25-minute-hips-slow-stretch
I started yoga on this routine 5 days ago. When I first bent over I could barley get my hands to my calfs because I was so stiff and it hurt so bad. After these 5 days I can now touch my toes and even go a little further and get the first knuckles of my fingers on the floor. You rock!
So..I know this is a way old video but just thought I'd let you know it's been a huge benefit for me. I have recently dropped +/- 35 lbs by eating healthy and increasing my exercise regimen. Part of that regimen includes doing this yoga twice a week to loosen up after the harder workouts. I do "leg day" on Wednesdays and then this yoga on Thursdays and I am almost never sore. I also am training for a marathon so I do my long runs on Saturday mornings. Again I follow this with a yoga session on Sunday mornings and it really has helped my muscles recover faster. You ought to consider doing a segment geared toward athletes and recovery. Anyway...just wanted to say thank you and also keep up the good work.
Some of us girls have a mini yoga group, we meet in our homes. We have tried many yoga cd's and instructors. When we found Sarah Beth we all loved her practices and calm, way of explaining the moves so even a novice can be successful. I joined the 30 day challenge and really enjoyed not only the yoga, but the inspiration was excellent as well. I just turned 69, am overweight, have some arthritis, but find yoga, especially the Sarah Beth style very easy to do. Yoga keeps me moving and going so I can be more active in my senior years. Thank you so much Sarah Beth for your dedication and your fans wish you many yoga years to come. grammyo
I can't express how much I appreciate your verbalization. Each minor adjustment I make based on your cues enhances my practice. I always enjoy my at-home sessions with you!
What I really like about this practice is, that the time for each poses is long. So you really can adjust your body right and try to "master" the poses... Thanks again for a nice video!
Did this video twice already. It will be my go to morning practice for now.., Its just right for me right now. Until I get better flexibility. Thank you Beth!!!!
I'm only 22 and have issues with my hips and lower back (sciatic-something according to my doctor) so I was told I need to start stretching regularly. To keep me honest, I started going to yoga classes at my college for a while which helped quite a bit. But now with finals approaching I just don't have time to get over to the gym monday/wednesday/friday. I searched youtube for something quick to do in the meantime so I wouldn't go back to being in pain all the time. Glad I found these. Quick enough to do before bed and I can feel it helping the areas I need especially.
I really like how you continue to give directions once we are in the stance. It helps to make sure everything is in the right place! Great video!! I'll do more of your videos. Thanks
I found your videos 7 years ago & I used a wide variety of them daily for a few years. Then I fell out of practice & strength training for another few years. I'm now 1 week into daily practice & training so of course I went back to the faithful Sarah Beth Yoga. Thank you for your content 🙏❤️
Coming back to Yoga after years of neglect, stiffening, and declining balance. After all of the videos I have used over 25+ years, this was the first instructor to recommend scissoring the heel to bent knee for leg stabilization. It works BEAUTIFULLY! Thank you!
I do this program first time in the morning with my teenage son and it is so good. It is the best way to wake up your body and your mind. Thank you Sarah.
Day one and I barely made it halfway. I always thought yoga was easy like just stretching. But my breathing was so shallow and my arms were shaking just from holding them up (and I'm an athlete) even the child's pose was difficult for me haha but I'll try again tomorrow 😅
Girl don't think about it to much sit back and see what happens in the matter of 2-3 days you will able to finish the video and don't give up easily first start with :yoga for beginners and work your way up 🤗😁👍👍😇☺☺🙂
Literally me too. Anything that requires upper body strength or using "my core" my whole body starts trembling. It's INSANE because I don't consider myself THAT weak but it sure was a reality check when I started. Definitely the yoga helps though, some days it's harder than others but overall it gets easier the more frequently you do it even if it's only a 5 minute video!
I love this video....thank you so much....a mother of 4 has to keep that figure right and stay flexible. this video along with a few others helps me do that. I'm learning to meditate so the pose at the end was great. I stayed there for like 5 minutes, lol!
I actually finished this routine (with just a few adjustments) I followed it. !!! Not only that, I feel invigorated. I decided to wait to eat lunch so I could "dig in" and get better results. I am almost 65 so this is a major accomplishment.
First time doing yoga seriously today, and I feel pretty good. My body feels less tensed and I feel calmer. I'm going to have to make this an every day thing. haha. Thank you.
Everyone tells you this, but I had to as well. This was a lovely quick flow. You are clear and this was wonderful. I am so glad I found you. Thank you. The light in me honors the light in you. Namaste.
Thank you for posting content, your instructions are not rushed and seem to naturally synchronize with where we're breathing and exhaling all throughout. This has been great for me to ease into a more regular practice. I've also shared this with my cousin. Thanks a lot. :)
Thanks so much, I haven't stretched like that for decades. I hope to get my family into this morning in the new yr. Great video, relaxing voice. Well done, thoroughly enjoyed it,
Wow! When I did this video when it was first uploaded, I was barely able to make it half way through the video. I haven't been practicing relgiously, only when I need to gain balance and peacefulness in my life and when I am not working. But now I was able to carry out the whole video, being mindful in each movement. Just shows that you can progress if you practice! Thansk Sarah-Beth.
Love the cues! I really like how you said 'trust that with continued practice you will gain flexibility'. I need to trust that in order to not become discouraged; I cannot do most poses well at the moment.
Day 17 #monthofyoga completed! I'm not feeling well today. I did many modifications to get through this one. It felt great, in my body and my mind. I'm giving my self an extra dose of compassion right now. It's all about the journey. Thanks Sarah Beth.
I've been doing yoga with you in the mornings for a while now and finally discovered this old school video! I am so impressed that it is almost exactly the same as the newer videos you make and you're STILL at it. Amazing! Congratulations on being so consistent at putting out these super helpful videos. We all truly appreciate you!
This is wonderful! Some of these I could do easily but others were a little harder, so I'll keep working on all of them and maybe check out that second level. Thank you so much for such detailed instructions!
I travel often and I'm always thankful I can bring you along; you are my weapon against jetlag. Thank you for posting such amazing routines, Sarah Beth.
This is still my absolute favourite SarahBeth video, the one I come back to again and again. It has everything I need in one compact package. Thank you.
I've been doing this for a couple days now and I can already feel a release in my back. I'm a believer, this is healing my back muscles slowly but surely and I'm excited for being able to completely do all of the poses.
This has been and continues to be my go-to yoga video for the last 5 years. The instructions are detailed and easy enough for a beginner (or a really tight/injured weightlifter), yet the routine is comprehensive enough to provide instant relief for both body and mind. Thanks for the great video, Sarah!
Keep trying, everyone had to start with "attempting" a workout. The first attempt is expected to be poor and not complete, that is the way to revealing the true forms. If someone claims they were already great at something, they are living a façade of ego over conscious reality tucked below.
Thanks for your easy to follow video. This was the first time I've tried yoga, and found it challenging but I know that means it will improve my mobility.
I'm so glad I found your channel! Your voice is lovely, your poses and postures are difficult - but not impossible - for a novice like me, and the small tips and suggestions you give throughout the video are absolutely perfect. It's like you're reading my mind! How did you know I needed to peel my tongue off the roof of my mouth?! LOL. Thank you. Terrific video.
Thank you! I love your classes. I love that you crafted such amazing routines using basic poses. Your instructions are clear. You don't talk much, which keep me focused.
In love with this video I do it every time before bed, it helps me sleep, and reduces my back, shoulders and neck's pain and it reduces my anxiety. Im a dancer and it permits me to do a little of stretch everyday during summer to keep my flexibility a little with my fitness exercises aha. Thank you so so much from a french viewer (sorry for my english)
I just found your channel and I tried to do the poses. I know that I wasn't the best at it, but I've never tried yoga before, I feel so relaxed and calm right now, thank you for the video!
I was so sore from doing your yoga for a beach body video yesterday. This was an amazing way to stretch and get the tension out. I love all your videos and posts. Thank you so much for sharing. Light and love. Liz
This practice made me realise how much stronger i am and balanced. (I have been doing crossfit for 8 months). This was something i needed to prove myself that i actually got to somewhere. Thank you SarahBeth. Im subscribing. :)
On days that I don't have to be at work super early, I've been waking up and doing either this video. the 20 minute hip opening, or the 16 minute yoga for flexibility (hip flexors and hamstrings). I've been regularly weightlifting for four years and have a desk job, so I've built up a lot of tension and staleness in my hips and hamstrings. Your videos have been an absolute godsend - I feel so much more energized and flexible. I've even started incorporating various stretches into my workout routine in between sets because I'm so addicted to the way it makes me feel. Thank you!
Really great video. It really did get my energy/chi flowing through my body. What I really enjoy about Sarah is that she takes the time to embrace each pose and doesn't rush through anything. I definitely will be using this again. Namaste.
The more I learn about yoga in my teacher training program, the more I appreciate your videos. Heartfelt appreciation! Thanks for sharing your gift to the world. Namaste
Have done yoga on and off most of my life. Most teachers are good at doing it, not always good at teaching it. Sarah Beth, I think your videos are the best around. Your voice is soothing, you allow space for people to actually BE in the postures, and in yoga it doesn't matter if your leg doesn't go as high as you wish, it's the journey that matters. Thank you SB so so much!!! Many blessings!
Hi Sarah! I loved this sequence! Ive been hoping to get more flexible in order to improve my yoga. I was hoping you could do a video dedicated to a flexibility routine for doing the splits? I feel no matter how long ive been doing yoga or how much I stretch my hamstrings/hips im still no where near being able to do the splits :( thank you!
Dear Sarah, I do crossfit and I love it, but I'm very stiff, so today I made big resolution to practice yoga every morning to get flexibility and help my herniated disc problems. Thank you for inspiring me, greetings from Brussels
Usually, I hate yoga; cause I know I’m not doing it right, and, they go so fast ,that I never truly relaxed. I sighed, and purred, the entire time I did this! and could keep my eyes closed and relaxed, because you described what we were doing so well! Definitely doing this every mornin thank you!
Wow, this is the first time I actually committed to doing a whole routine. I always shied away because my flexibility needs work, but your voice is very soothing and balanced and before I knew it... the 20 mins was up! I'm actually looking forward to seeing myself progress. Thank you so much. I truly appreciate what you do for others.
I’ve been doing this yoga routine for the past 3 to 4 years. I haven’t always been consistent with it, so I’m not really flexible, but I have seen improvements when I was consistent ! Even tho I have periods where I don’t practice yoga much, I always come back to this video. It’s so comforting, I almost know it by heart. Thank you 🤍
I really love your aesthetic. Since I have glaucoma my contrast sensitivity has decreased. Your use of stark backgrounds and simple bold colors is perfect in Assisting my ability to visualize and focus on your poses. What beautiful and helpful videos. Don't change the look and feel and THANKS!!
Thank you. These videos are excellent for me. I use them as my active recovery on Sundays and feel so much better having done them. Thank you for providing awesome content.
I have only been doing this and part II for a week and I can't believe the difference in my flexibility!!! Thank you so much!! This is the best easy, simple, flexibility yoga for a beginner I have found. I really appreciate you! Much Love, Namaste~Amy
Really enjoying this during Corona self-isolation with my daughter. We like that you just get on with the exercise and don't talk talk talk explaining when it works better just to show. Good job!
Wow this kicked my butt. I've done maybe 4 yoga sessions in the past 6 years and had ACL surgery 1 year ago. I need to regain my flexibility so I will start following your videos every day. Thank you.
I really enjoy this routine. It has started my 2nd quarter of 2018 with a new beginning. You know your stuff when it comes to yoga. I am 65 years old. I have always loved yoga. This routine i particularly helpful as a beginner. It is challenging enough to begin again.I feel so invigorated. Thank you.
I've been doing this every day for the past week and honestly I feel so good. obviously becoming really flexible is going to take time but I do feel like it's making a difference. Thank you! Namaste x
Love this routine. Perfect time, too. Sometimes 1 hour yoga sessions can be demanding for my body so I'm loving your 20-30 minute routines! Thanks so much, from a fellow Sarah, haha. xoxo

woo hoo!!!!!!!
Dayna Shamberg great job!
holy shit 5 days is fast
What I like about your videos is that you separated actions from talking. Much easier to follow than when combined
When??
Always a good one that pushes you just enough but not too much that you are discouraged.

Sarah Beth understands what people like us need to become flexible again. She gives time for the stretch to work. I am a big fan. Thank you.
What I really like about this practice is, that the time for each poses is long. So you really can adjust your body right and try to "master" the poses... Thanks again for a nice video!
I'm so glad to finally find someone with practice levels for different level Yogis. There's enough variety here to make my week not feel too routine.
Showing this in my physical education class today! Thanks :)
Did this video twice already. It will be my go to morning practice for now.., Its just right for me right now. Until I get better flexibility. Thank you Beth!!!!
so glad to find this! you are easy to follow and listen to- no "sing-song" voice that you often find in yoga videos. thank you for sharing.
Finally a yoga practice without any nonsense bullshit. Just pure instruction, great job!
Half happy baby makes me SO happy! Love this sequence Sarah!

Biggest mistake was stopping Yoga...Ugh! So glad I found you or maybe you found me :)
I have been keeping up with you for a little over a month now, and enjoy every video I've watched so far !
I'm trying the first week video #1 and I'll try next week video #2. You are an awesome teacher. Thank you!
Perfect for unwinding after waking up feeling stiff in my body. Thank you!
I do this program first time in the morning with my teenage son and it is so good. It is the best way to wake up your body and your mind. Thank you Sarah.
+jspasic What a great advantage for your son and yourself!

I'm not that flexible (yet!) but I feel so good after completing this routine. Thank you!
Every day I am trying different poses from your video and I must say that the way you are teaching.. it's very easy to learn😊😊
I love this video....thank you so much....a mother of 4 has to keep that figure right and stay flexible. this video along with a few others helps me do that. I'm learning to meditate so the pose at the end was great. I stayed there for like 5 minutes, lol!
I love how well the music paces the video and let's me know it hasn't lost connection when you are completely still for a few moments!
such a nice way to get back into the practice without feeling too intimidated...being at home doesn't hurt either!
I actually finished this routine (with just a few adjustments) I followed it. !!! Not only that, I feel invigorated. I decided to wait to eat lunch so I could "dig in" and get better results. I am almost 65 so this is a major accomplishment.
6/30/2024. Sunday.
After many moons, I return to this 20. Thanks, as always.
First time doing yoga seriously today, and I feel pretty good. My body feels less tensed and I feel calmer. I'm going to have to make this an every day thing. haha. Thank you.

I need to bookmark this and do it a few times a week! My flexibility really isn't what I'd like it to be, and this was really helpful.
Nice pace to your videos. They have given me many tips on designing shorter routines for my personal practice! :)
Thanks so much, I haven't stretched like that for decades. I hope to get my family into this morning in the new yr. Great video, relaxing voice. Well done, thoroughly enjoyed it,
Thank you so much for this video. I am a yoga beginner and your video made it very easy to follow and it was enjoyable. I will be following along.
Wow! When I did this video when it was first uploaded, I was barely able to make it half way through the video. I've tried soooo many yoga channels, and I can say this is by far THE BEST one, easy to follow, really relaxing music
Thanks for such a calming practice! I will be continuing for sure
I've been doing yoga with you in the mornings for a while now and finally discovered this old school video! I am so impressed that it is almost exactly the same as the newer videos you make and you're STILL at it. Amazing! Congratulations on being so consistent at putting out these super helpful videos. Thank you for helping to relax my body after an intense chiro session. Very easy to follow and very informative. God bless!
This is still my absolute favourite SarahBeth video, the one I come back to again and again. It has everything I need in one compact package. Thank you.
This was the best session I have ever had!
I've been doing this for a couple days now and I can already feel a release in my back. I'm a believer, this is healing my back muscles slowly but surely and I'm excited for being able to completely do all of the poses.
love it . This is day 1 for me and I hoping to do the 30 days challenge
This has been and continues to be my go-to yoga video for the last 5 years. The instructions are detailed and easy enough for a beginner (or a really tight/injured weightlifter), yet the routine is comprehensive enough to provide instant relief for both body and mind. Thanks for the great video, Sarah!
Wow that was the most relaxing and yet invigorating yoga session I ever had! Thank you Sarag Beth!
started doing this every night before bed, thanks mucho!
This is a good video but i could barely do any of the poses, but ill keep trying
this is random but your willingness and positivity just brightened my day :)
are you still doing yoga?
You can do it!! keep with it :)
Keep trying, everyone had to start with "attempting" a workout. The first attempt is expected to be poor and not complete, that is the way to revealing the true forms. If someone claims they were already great at something, they are living a façade of ego over conscious reality tucked below.
It's okay I struggled with these poses for a long time, you can do it!:)
Thank you!!! I used to be really flexible a few years ago, I hope I still am haha this was really helpful :)
Thank you for your wonderful yoga videos. I don't find them repetitive, easy to follow and your music choice is also great!

This practice made me realise how much stronger i am and balanced. (I have been doing crossfit for 8 months). This was something i needed to prove myself that i actually got to somewhere. Thank you SarahBeth. Im subscribing. :)
I loved the music that you played. Just the way I like it. Thank you for a wonderful video. I will definitely be checking out your other videos too!
Namaste.
Christmas Eve, 2021. I could do this twice more. Calm thyself and embrace the blessings of the season. Blessing to you.
This was the first (non pre-natal) yoga practice I've done in 9 months... it was just what I needed! Thank you :)
The more I learn about yoga in my teacher training program, the more I appreciate your videos. Heartfelt appreciation! Thanks for sharing your gift to the world. Namaste
Great, thank you. Just what I needed to get back into yoga.

this is good. simple, but very effective.
I do this every day after I run and the euphoric feeling it gives me is amazing - thank you for this Sara! You are a total babe.
Thank you so much for your videos, SarahBeth! They have really helped me to become more flexible and better at yoga :)
Great session! I am starting to realize I'm becoming a bit more flexible. Thank you!
Dear Sarah, I do crossfit and I love it, but I'm very stiff, so today I made big resolution to practice yoga every morning to get flexibility and help my herniated disc problems. Thank you for inspiring me, greetings from Brussels

here for the 17th day of yoga challenge and this felt sooo good! thank you.
I have only been doing this and part II for a week and I can't believe the difference in my flexibility!!! Thank you so much!! This is the best easy, simple, flexibility yoga for a beginner I have found. I really appreciate you! Much Love, Namaste~Amy
This was so relieving. I'm naturally a very tense and stiff person nit this relieved so much tension in my body!
Thank you.
Thanks For Video First Time Doing Yoga An It Felt Very Tranquil!
Thank you! Namaste x

It's really worked and working I'm doing for the last year's, thank you Sarah Beth.
Love this routine. Perfect time, too. Sometimes 1 hour yoga sessions can be demanding for my body so I'm loving your 20-30 minute routines! Thanks so much, from a fellow Sarah, haha. xoxo
