    It took me 10 different iron ball flight videos to find someone that explained exactly what I’m doing wrong. I’m the green keeper’s best friend guy. Thanks so much!!

    Thanks Andy. That’s why I use an 8 iron where others use a 56 degrees wedge.

    One of the best videos I've seen on this topic.

    Same as some of the others here, watched several other videos to no avail, came across yours and I am greenskeepers best friend. Little to no divot, going to work on it on the range and have someone record it so I can see the difference.

    I think this is very accurate for an issue I'm having.

    You sir are my new be UA-cam best friend.. You just added 15 yards to all my irons. Thank you!!

    Great insights, Carter! I don't hit my irons high, but I do hit them relatively short, and I think shaft lean is the culprit (I'm adding loft). But I'm very consistent, so I've just learned to live with it (because in golf it's how many, not how far!). Looking forward to the upcoming vlogs!

      The end score is always most important. If you want to improve I would challenge you to fix the shaft lean if that is the cause of your high shots because it won't make you 'wayward' but by hitting the ball further you will lower scores

    Thanks, Andy...I always thought that I moved my head by lifting my left shoulder...which is true, but was caused by my improper spine angle...

      I'd suggest, go grab a lesson from a local pro and see you swing on video, that way you can use the facts of your swing faults to improve mechanics.

    This used to be so me, Andy. I have corrected my ball striking with more shaft lean recently, and picked up an extra ten yards distance per club. So my shaft lean is pre set at address, however I have no idea how that angle is at impact without have a lesson or somebody looking at it on Trackman. I feel I get too much height even now. But \i am better than i was. Thanks for this.

    I need to video my swing .. making adjustments to my backswing is double, but tint knowing what my downswing looks like makes it hard to make the correct adjustments

    Good tip man. I think I'm doing the first one (swaying back). Was just thinking about trying to stop this - then see this - maybe this could be why I'm getting it so high as you say. Thanks for the vid :)

    Are there drills to combat the second reason? I’m struggling big time with this

    How to combat the early club release? I think my hands are in line with my back leg. Straight shots or slightly left, good divots, but too much spin and lack of distance. Thanks

      Do you have any videos to help with the early release?

  • @lebo2439
    @lebo2439 5 років тому

    So would the solution to early release be holding lag longer, more rotation or something nothing else?

    • @andycartergolf
      @andycartergolf  5 років тому

      Hard to say why without seeing a swing to be honest.
      It could be lack of posture- weight shift or rotation, grip or even lag too.

    • @andycartergolf
      @andycartergolf  5 років тому +1

      Identifying your faults is the 1st phase and most important. UA-cam has lots of accessible information regarding swing drills but knowing which to use is vital

      Carter's Golf I do have lessons, when I get time. And I have some good drills to work on, it's nice seeing a description of faults & it certainly helps understand how to move forward. Really enjoying your new content BTW.
