As an overweight masters thrower I found weighted step ups (knees over toes) really helped stability, without stressing knees as much as plyo. It's been a year and I am finally not getting a bit of jumpers knee every other week. Though I wish I had space for a giant foam to jump onto like Crouser does.

Everyday push ups are good.. But dont if u r doing it daily then dont perform them to failure.. Do it 3 or 2 before failure
