I'm a big fan of you taking the time to explain what sort of wiring work can be expected, too many people gloss over wiring. Great video!
Thanks for watching! I’m glad you think that, I was worried people would find it too boring 💤
Loved seeing your reaction to that start up. Congratulations on a truly beautiful build, seeing that Mk6 body and hearing the VR6 sound is such a fabulous combination. And you're a champ for being so open with the process 👍
Much appreciated! Thanks for not thinking I’m too soft 😂
Came out absolutely mint man. What an awesome swap, the engine bay looks SO clean and it sounds perfect.
Thanks a bunch! Next video should be a good one. No work, all fun 😎

Proud of you sir! Thank you for being vulnerable enough to show your true emotions! The car sounds and looks amazing! People like you in the community are what keeps me going and keeps me from giving up on my car. Thank you!
I appreciate that! Those who know me personally can vouch: what you see on camera is the real me. I’m showing everything, the highs and lows
Just found this channel man...as a builder and a father (with a 6yr old son that is 100% obsessed with cars already) and moments away from driving my V70R project for the first time in nearly two years...NICE WORK, hit all the same feels man, keep it up! Now I need to start editing my content finally LMAO
Welcome aboard! That’s what this dries has been all about, to hopefully inspire someone watching. I’m glad you’re enjoying them dude

@@Ninety4co your welcome bro!
She sounds beautiful , way better than a 2.0 imo
Thanks! Loving the sound myself. Excited for the new exhaust 👀
Nice!! Take notes 📝 VWUSA VW enthusiasts want the VR6 back at the very least as an option. Not everyone likes the popcorn 🍿four banger fart maker's.
Owned an MK4 R32, and I wish I still had it 😢. Enjoy the VR6!!
Man’s out here calling out VW!!
very relatable/informative for me currently a stay at home dad vw/toyota/chrysler tech formerly currently maintaining my mk6 all know issues chain tensioner carbon etc Apr k04 upgrade now I want to build a VR6 thank you for the series
Great to hear! Quitting and becoming a stay at home dad was the best choice I ever made. Soak up every bit of it dude
What a process, love seeing your reaction, and sharing that with us. Must of felt like a million bucks.
Congrats on the hard work well done Sir!!!!

I met your neighbor and they said you were a car dude and I’m a car dude with kids and I like your channel.
I wanna ask what neighbor but also don’t wanna dox myself 😂 what are their initials?

Series ain’t over brother 😎
Dude your hard work definitely shows and it is has paid off for the wonderful WOOKIE NOISES!!! So excited to see this in person!!
Thanks so much!! Been a long journey. Currently reworking the brake switch since getting the car tuned. Frustrating 🫠
Oscar is also happy to hear the engine start😂
Oh he always is!
Sounds amazing!!! Loved watching the process. 🤍
Thanks so much! Glad you’re enjoying it so far
I’m gonna love seeing this at Wookies! Sweet build man
Yes sir lots of great progress has been made in the past 2-3 days. I’m tracking down one last small issue how and I should be set!
Ayyyyy just got home and enjoyed watching this. So stoked for you. I see you crossed 1k subs, too! GGs man! 🍻
Thanks a ton! Certainly did not expect this kind of response to the videos
Super excited for you Chobey. I liked how you got technical when it came to the wiring I can only imagine your frustration then excitement. The car sounds amazing. If all goes to plan I’ll see you at Helen. Still doing work to my GTI trying to have most of it done by May.
Thank you sir! Very excited to drive it down to Helen and very excited to show you when I get there 😁
Amazing work! Great series. Keep them coming 🎉

Awesome job sir. I have a 2000 jetta vr6 12v as a daily and i just love the sound. I have done all the major maintenance stuff like timing chain, water pump with aluminum fins, aluminun crack pipe, aluminum thermostat housing. So i should be good for a while. I bought witg 177k miles just about 202k miles
Sounds like you’ve covered all your bases! Time to enjoy wookie noises

Maybe I shoulda charged money 😅 jk jk

That music at the end destroyed this video I want to hear the car not music haha😂 come on man I really enjoyed this whole video I wanted to hear this thing. 😊😛
Watch the next episode! There’s plenty more clips with no music.
Congratulations ! Next time take the music off , we need the vr6 sound !
Next episode will be less work and more wookie
Do you have the part # for the f150 hose you used for the swirl pot by chance? Thanks!
Yes actually I just located the receipt when I saw this comment. Here’s the link:
www.oreillyauto.com/detail/c/gates/air-conditioning/heater-hose/78e5e673c02c/gates-epdm-rubber-heater-hose/gat0/19812
I had to trim it to fit but the bend and I.D. was what I was after 👍
Would this be possible with a stand alone ecu haltect?
I believe so
The back part of exhaust is it suitcase mufflers back there or just y pipe to quad tips?
It’s a vibrant suitcase muffler
@@Ninety4co wish I could see exactly how it’s set up under the car.
@@damionplummer4069 I’ll map it out on video soon
@@Ninety4co cool thanks that would be owesome
Im here for oscar
Aren’t we all?? 🥹
wich ecu did you use ?
The stock Passat 3.6 ecu
Hey bro I’m at Wookies 🎉I wanted to check out your ride. Where ya parked?
I had no signal 😢😢😢 hopefully you saw it Saturday!
@@Ninety4co dang haha I tried looking for it but couldn’t find it.. all good though
What’s up bro is there anyway I can see a wiring diagram for your clutch position sensor?? Please and thanks!!
I never pulled those schematics because my car already had that wiring (my GTI was already a manual). I just had to make sure it was still fused when I swapped over to the Passat fuse box.
@@Ninety4co gotcha
Hey man, I'm sorry to bother. Can you please let me know where you got the ECU/ECM wiring pinouts? Like what the wire in pin 64 is for. I'll appreciate it.
I had a friend at a local dealer get me my factory diagrams but you can get a 1-day subscription to ElsaWin and get all your diagrams that way too.
What ECU are you asking about T94/64 on? The BLV Passat or the GTI?
@@Ninety4co oh okay, I'm trying to swap a swap a BVZ engine for a CDLA and I'm struggling to find ECU pinouts for both ECUs of these engines.
On pin 64 I was just making an example. I need to get ECU pinouts which are complete so I can know what each wire is for on both ECUs.
Hey man nice build, which engine code is this VR6?
BLV
@@Ninety4co Okay thanks man
@@Ninety4co Okay thanks man.
Whats next? Awd?
I’ll be discussing what’s next in the next vid
Amazing video bro but any suggestions to the guys like me… I can’t read wiring diagrams to save anyone’s life lol help
Yes. I’d start with prodemand or alldata diagrams. They’re very easy to follow. Once you get a feel for tracing things, revert to the Elsa diagrams. Since you can compare/know where some stuff goes, you’ll begin to understand how VW maps their diagrams.
@@Ninety4co I have alldata, Erwin… and yeah lost lol
She's a beauty!!! You reckon the Scirocco will have the same layout for this swap?
LeeVee 🤝From South Africa
If it’s a pq35 chassis yes, most of this will apply
