I'm 35, and I had 3 engagements in my early 20s, I said no to them, I felt they were not meant for me, I am happy I didn't rush into marriage because all my friends were getting married, I have been using my time to develop my mind, soul, and body, now am in a relationship that feels suitable for me. no matter how long it takes believe that God will send your person to you, no rush in life, Love and light. greetings from Nigeria.

Me I got the internal pressure through my sisters imagine were 9 kids and I'm a middle child. And guess what among the 9kids,ther seven gals and two boys,Then I saw all the gals getting married even our youngest sister and I was like I'm left alone I need to think of what next then God blessed me with a man and we got married on 7th 2022.

Thank you Beautiful Ladies. I got married "super late" by any standard...41 and I was hoping I'd be married by 29. I was about to give up and then finally one day, I met Mr. Right and he proposed 4 months later. You never know why things happen the way they do but God is always on time!

I relate so much. Got married towards 32 this year but maturity was key and I believe my marriage has been simplified because we are both mature and still on the growth journey together. Walking with God is key too and some days the doubts come but don’t let your self give up on what God has for you. His package is always beyond your wildest dreams

I have been divorced for 20 years. I was in my late 30s when I divorced. Being single with my two children was very peaceful 💙 being with the wrong man destroys your soul because your not on the same page, you don't value the same things, you fight often, TRUST is an issue, you can't even enjoy being on a beautiful vacation the way that you are supposed to. Being single your not worrying about what nobody else is doing and vacations become exactly what they are supposed to be, like you've stepped into a dream you are having so much freedom and fun you almost can't believe that you are there!! Kids are also glad that you are happy and they don't have to see you upset all the time. Now they are enjoying just being home the way they are supposed to. They still get to visit with dad as they should be. Never try to stop them from visiting with dad as long as he isn't causing them any harm. Learn to enjoy your own company while you are single don't always look for someone to do things with. If you don't enjoy your own company why would the man of your dreams enjoy your company. Get to know the Lord while you are single and let Him guide you through your life because He knows you much better than you know yourself. I've dated, I've been proposed to twice and I said NO twice then just decided to stay on my own again for 10 years since my last relationship. You can NOT change any man to be who YOU what him to be. If he's not the right man except it , Don't WASTE precious time and move on. Being single is what YOU DECIDE to make of it. Stop worrying about what people say because often those people are very unhappy in their marriages, struggling to get along with their partners , wishing they had the peace that you have. Being with the WRONG MAN makes you feel more lonely than when you are single and peaceful, that is , if you are doing single the RIGHT way.

I can't walk into marriage for a worse life. I am not married yet but I haven't been great on the wait part. Walked out of a four year relationship where I was engaged finally but the break is something I couldn't comprehend but it had to happen. Never known such peace guys. Finally said yes to God's will.

I remember seeing this lady at different events in Kampala. First event was in high school. School swimming competition with Green Hill at Makerere University. Then in 2005 at our mutual friends wedding. Kampala is such a small city. You can be at events with people and never speak to them but you keep seeing them. Now imagine I first saw this lady when I was 17 years.
FYI I also got married around that same age I was 33 so it's good to be sure and wait.
She got married at the right time. It was not late. I thank God she did not make the mistake of getting married at 22 years to the man who was persuing her. At that age, she didn't know who she was & what she wanted out of life. The early 20s is the best time for self discovery.

Work on your relationship with God, know what you want, don't date alone, mentorship, you can't walk into marriage for a worse life, identify important things in your life and pour yourself into them - develop yourself, do what you have and give it your best, sexual purity - make a decision, waiting protects you from making bad choices - the commands God has given us are for our own good, trust, enjoy your singlehood time, protect your heart and mind, be clear on what you want from a relationship, be patient, wait on God.

I definitely wasted my 30s being anxious about not being married. Wasted time, I should’ve just enjoyed whatever was there for me to do. It’s not worth it pinning after marriage. It will come when you’re ready. I know I’m ready now, my mindset is just right. I’m honestly grateful I didn’t get married when I wanted. I hadn’t grown enough… I’m now with someone who allows me to soar, supports me like crazy. My dreams are too important to me, they mean everything to me. I couldn’t be with someone who didn’t understand that.

At my age love can't blind me. I will move on and still live. One of the strongest pillars that have made me firm on saying love can't drive me I drive it, is that I moved on from mourning the person who has ever loved me so much and that's my mum. So men ain't my problem I take the bitter pin and swallow it and remain single in peace. Girls be warned men in church are there who don't value sexual purity. Can you imagine fake men in church can also be found on the prayer Mountain I wonder.

I am single at 48yes never been madried.... I really think i have managed very well... I can remember worrying if i am going to turn 30 single heheheheheh, the time passed and i realised that thinking or worrying about ut chabges nothing.
There may have been pressures, but I really sidnt and still dont let them sink... I had to walk away from a few who feels rhey must rub it on my face everytime, yes walked away from them forever.
I think we also pressure ourselves more....

I'm 35 I'm in a relationship, I'm happy in my relationship but I always imagine the things I wish I would do if I was single. Life has so much to offer when you are single. I love traveling alone and I highly encourage single people to travel if possible. You learn so much about life. I'm not in a rush to get married at all. Maybe it's coz I've traveled so much to Europe where marriage is not everything, people are very independent and are not reliant on marriage like we are in Africa. Personally I'd rather travel the world than marry.
