7 Things we Agreed Before Marriage:
Everything you do, you have to be intentional. Have some decisions and agreements from the get go. Things which should be a law or a rule in your family.
1. Don't sork, talk
-Dont bottle things in. You have to be expressive about issues that are affecting you. You might be upset or be fighting with someone who has no idea what is going on. Don't suffer in silence. Just speak out. Check tone, timing and attitude when expressing your issues.
2. Exchange Parents
-When buying stuff for parents, you buy for both. When giving presents exchange on who sends to who.
3. Never leave the house without kissing your partner.
-It's not just for the sake of loving to kiss but it's for the idea that the last memory of your partner should be a pleasant one. It helps with having to connect. The more connect the hight the chances of strengthening the band.
4. No passwords
-Based on the understanding of the covenant; we believe there has to be 100% transparency. It helps also we catching up on things.
5. Joint accounts and joint accountability
-Don't separate money. Use same account, it helps with accountability, planning, communication and etc.
6. Lookout for each other.
-Don't be selfish and do things for yourself. Your partner should be responsible for what you want to get for yourself.
7. Divorce is not an option
-Stay married and handle issues together. Having an option makes it easy to consider getting out of it.

Pastor k and pastor M you have really helped me put the icing on my marriage through your teachings, one of the things I and my husband agreed on is never to quarrel even if we don't agree on certain things at that particular moment, and true to that we have been married for 15 years, non of us has ever raised their voice on the other or used disrespectful words no matter the situation.

I think it is also important to agree about the place of worship, as in which Church to go to before marriage.
I saw both of you at the airport with your kids. You were on the same flight with my daughter on Monday and I was just so happy and I kept telling everyone who you are but I was too shy to walk up to you but I took a video and sent it to my friend in south cause we are both addicts. Plus it's airport and you were busy and I didn't want to bother you. But I felt so happy to see you. Now I'm babbling, bye and have a great day

This is awesome 👍 but according to PK and PM they said have an intimacy language which might not be kissing eachother, it might be hugging eachother or admiring or having to touch eachother before stepping out.
This is my observation. I think it was a pleasant video, a very realistic and honest conversation. One that keeps you engaged, smiling intermittently, and admiring the unfeigned closeness between them. I am good at reading between the lines to sense the unspoken vibes but nothing here is falsely portrayed. The friendship and communication between these two are authentic.
Lastly, I like that they did not fill the conversation with Christianese (jargon used by church folks) to re-enforce their position as perceived by others. Instead, they spoke with candor and made it relatable across the board, while uncompromisingly maintaining their religious stance regarding marriage. Such a beautiful way to be inclusive. Thank you.

I also love the fact that these are practicable. One thing I'm going to add is...
None of our children will grow up (live) in any uncle or aunt's house. In fact, they cannot even go and "take care" of either grandparents, and live with them in disguise.
If grannies needs help, we get them one, not our children.
I have discovered that sending one's children to live with extended family members does more harm than good, and this is especially common in Nigeria.
Another idea I'm not cool with is boarding school. I'd rather have my children enrolled in a day school facility.

This couple hypes me, Kai my marriage is blessed. I have learnt alot from Pastor M's sweet stories.
This is more like "the manifold wisdom of God " being expressed by this blessed couple on a mission from God.And because nothing just works ,they started by being INTENTIONAL about it from day one .I am over blessed with this one and have gained a lot.That "exchange of parents" is a revolutionary agreement I may say and the outcome can only be imagined.When Pastor K says his wife is always around him ,that agreement of "No password" better explains it for those who are confused about it. Pastor M heartily said that particular agreement makes her feel safe . With the analogy about being in a house with no escape route and fire is burning,you see how it becomes your responsibility to choose DEATH as the only escape route from marriage .
It's the way Pastor M was staring at Pastor K's eyeballs for me. The marriage looks so fresh 😀
