  • Join us and laugh as we struggle to wrestle some 17x9 wheels onto Kris Jr's car. Shockingly enough, cars in 1982 weren't designed for 17x9 wheels and they didn't want to fit. But we eventually beat it them into submission.

Car looks awesome!!! 🇺🇸💪🏼 I’ve actually thought about getting a set of the new 17in 10 hole wheel that LMR sells for my LX.

@jdrods1519 that will look good. I was looking at a lot of different wheels, including 10-holes. But even factory 15x7 10-holes are going for more than these. Apparently, my old turbines are worth their weight in gold now. I may have to sell them to fund some Welds or something.

Lucky young man! Nice looking little Foxbody!!
I'd leave the paint/body just as is and spend money on other areas.

@kindercarcaredetailing4768 I would too. But he really wants to paint it. Right now, it's down due to an electrical short. Once it's running again we need to do some minor suspension work. But he really wants to make it look good inside and out.

@KrisGreenhill I'm getting ready to start on my own little project I've had alittle over a year and a half, '92 5.0 (ProjectGirl) and been buying a bunch of diagnostic equipment/tools because I suck at electrical issues. I went and got me a power probe Short/open circuit finder part# PPECT3000, Lord what a time saver!! You can find a short/open circuit within minutes instead of hours, days and weeks.
Also check on Lisle Relay Pro part# 60150. Helps you figure out if your 4 or 5 pin relays are good or bad withing 10 seconds.
As well as a Cal-Van AMP HOUND2. part# 72: helps you find out where your find out if you have a parasitic draw draining your battery by Che king your fuses.
And a little INNOVA OBD1 code reader for 1981-1995 Ford vehicles.
These 4 diagnostic equipment/tools helps and makes me look like I k ow what I'm doing. 😆
Go check out the videos on UA-cam on what they are and the simplestity of using them to help you quickly find out what's wrong so you can fix it and get it back on the road instead of wasting hours, days and weeks trying to figure out what's wrong.
Followed you so I can keep up with how things are going and what you and your son are doing to that little Fox!!

love the Cobra R, I have them on my 98 SN95, have 6 of the 17x9s and 2 17x10.5, I don't use spacers with them. I'm running 3" studs for when I run hubcentric spacers to get them a little bit wider at the track.
your wheels and car LOOK GREAT!!! ya did good!!

Cobra wheels aren't designed for GT. The suspension geometry is different.
