Fallout 4 The Castle & Tunnels settlement Build. Realistic and practical Living Minuteman base.

- Welcome to my restored Fallout 4 Minutemen Castle & tunnels settlement build tour. I really tried to make this settlement feel like it was lived in, fully utilized and almost like they were running out of space as their forces had grown so much, as well as being the most secure settlement in the commonwealth. Complete with all the facilities that would be needed to sustain such a force (laundry, abundant stores of food ,drinks medical facilities, canteen ect) and amenities that would make your average recruit want to stay and even loathe the idea of leaving as life within the castle was so much better than out.
well hope you like the build I didn't go to crazy building to many additional structures tried to utilize the castles space as much as possible.
I think the tunnels turned out really well and allowed me to add a lot of facilities in a logical place.
Please give a like and stuff if liked. - Ігри
Wow, it's by far the best and most creative castle settlement build I've seen. I've never before thought fallout 4 settlement builds could be elevated to an art form until I saw this. Thanks. It was really cool to see
Hey man, thanks. I'm not sure how to respond to such a comment, "elevated to an art form." I'm truly blown away. Thanks again. I did have the feeling the build was coming together nicely as I was doing it. Believe it or not, one of the hardest things about this settlement build was getting the settlers/minutemen to act like troops training themselves, kitting them out took forever as well.
One of the Best or the Best fallout 4 bulding I saw
Best Castle build I've seen yet! Deserves way more views.
Hey thanks. I'm just thankful it has as many views as it does. But more would be better.
Thanks for the views and comments though.
Clearly !
Beautiful build. I love the brick building by the exterior outcropping, real clean. The vertibird pads look great aswell
I'm pleased you noticed that building it took me awhile to get it the way I wanted it. Sinking it down did the trick. I didn't want it close to the height of the castle walls.
This is insane-ly awesome! The amount of detail that went into it. Damn. And that whole tunnel setup, again, damn. The cherry on top, so to speak. The way you've got it all set, yeah, that is a fully opperational base. To say great work seems like an understatement, but, great work!
Thanks again for the great feedback
Sooo sick! Amazing work!
I never repair the walls. I put a guard and a heavy laser in the holes. The Slocum Joes is a must for every settlement that's obvious. Last game I left out Vertibirds but II miss them so will probably put them back in load order. You used the interior well giving me ideas! Well my current dude has a few days before he takes the Castle. Good video!
Thanks. And I think if I play through again I'd leave the castle in a more deteriorated condition including the walls. This playthrough I wanted to hVe the castle really sorted out , to really give the impression that the minutemen have there ducks all in a row so to speak.
How did you're castle turn out?
Your Castle looks fantastic ! The Castle is my primary residence, in game, and I have done a lot of work in workshop mode, but nothing even close to what you have. Respect.
Thanks NeDes. Appreciate it.
Yup I use Hangman's Alley but this is one heck of a build. I just think the Castle isn't close enough to the middle of the map to be my main base.
@@wilomica I've rebuilt my Hangman's Ally several times, trying to maximize its limited space. Unfortunately, I've relegated it serving as just a temporary way station. A place for me to scrap collected junk into my supply lines, with just 3 well armed settlers for security. I try not to use fast travel at all. Instead I use the BoS vertibird service. Maxson's aviation assets are used to support my settlements whether he likes it or not.
It really inspires me man, everything so realist, well done 👍
Thanks Outsider ,realism was what I was trying to achieve here.. This was a really satisfying build especially in the tunnels always bothered me I couldn't incorporate them into the overall build.
So I was very pleased when I saw the necessary mods to do that. I'm always pleased to pass on some inspiration for other people's builds I too seek inspiration at times from people's builds on UA-cam.
Thanks again for checking out the build and the feedback.
@@thunderfish2 You're welcome !
Very complete and well put together!!
Super-immersive 👌👏🏻
Thanks Lion. Was a fun build.
I recently came to the realization that you don’t actually need a farm at all settlements… if they’re connected via a supply chain they all share food. (You can also just manually put food into the workbench to accomplish the same thing, but not worth doing that way) So my latest playthrough I made the castle a giant food and water plant! With extremely high defenses of course. But they produce enough water and food to feed all of my settlements! The other settlements won’t show the food stats, but they’re all being fed because I calculated how much it needed to produce. But it’s so much nicer than having every settlement have the same things. Shops, farm, etc. now I have 1 settlement for food and water, 1 that is like a central trading post, 1 that’s a manufacturing plant, etc. it really shakes things up a lot! I probably won’t have the castle as the food hub next time though. I just figured it would be the easiest to defend. And can produce a ton of water easily. But I’m really enjoying doing settlements this way, so each one is totally different. I have 1 settlement (the slog) that’s like a retirement center. I send all my ghouls and elderly settlers there and they just have lounging areas, no work to be done. They can retire in peace.
Lol I like the idea of the retirement settlement. And I agree with how you like to specialize your settlements not everyone needs to be full of vendors or produce food I use Abernathy and sunshine for my food production mainly.
Really like your setup. Good job
Thanks it was a fun build that turned out pretty good for the most part.
Now this is what The Castle supposed to be like in the game. I really love it. I gave it a thumbs up. What mods are you using to make this?
Thanks for the comment and like Jodie. The mods that most influence this build would be fully Restored Castle, workshop in castle tunnels and clean Castle Tunnels.
Settlement menu markets, interactive settlement objects and improved settler A.I. really helped with making settlers act like troops, training ect.
Warehouse expanded was used to build vertibird landing pads. Oh and Do it yourself DIY shelf clutter mod really helped in the tunnels.
We thank you
How do you get so many settlers
@@Sniperlobsterfest Possibly "We are the Minutemen" mod where you can summon new minutemen to act as settlers, or he achieves CHR 40 somehow
@@Sniperlobsterfest Hello again Frank. I used " Minutemen settlement Guards " to populate the Tunnels and maxed charisma, chems, and special set of "Sharp" armor I put together to get to 39 in the Castle proper.
Wow, i love it.
Nnnnice.
👍👍👍
Thanks. Appreciate the view and feedback.
I have a huge fireplace in my home plate build and I'm loving Slocum's Joe having a franchise in the Castle. LOL
Got to treat the troops. Coffee and donuts would boost moral I imagine.
I like the atmosphere a fireplace provides.
I've Seen a lot of Settlements and this is the Best by far! Awesome Details and ideas really liked to See all your Work Here.
Do you know If similar Castle related mods are available for ps4?
Thanks man! I know that Sony Makes it difficult for fallout mods but I'd be surprised if there isn't some kind of castle wall restoration mods. I'm pretty sure clean castle tunnels and tunnel workshop are PC and Xbox only.
esto es impresionante, has jecho un trabajo maestro, una obra de arte.
Thanks for the checking out the build and for the comment guess I'm an artist now lol.
I prefer the improvised look, but I get your idea. I'm personally turning my castle into a defense/arsenal/health hub. With SS2 installed and all.
Ya improvised is definitely the best look. Some of my settlements that's what I go for. But as far as the castle I wanted the minutemen to look like they had their sh_t together
love it! how did you get those vertibirds in your settlement?
Thanks Max . The minutemen vertibirds are from the Liberty Reborn minutemen buff mod. USO mod has USAF vertibirds as well. I chose the minutemen themed one though for obvious reasons.
Thanks again for checking out the build.
Hi !
Very nice job.
It sounds complicated.
Especially to bring people from the castle into the basement - as it's a closed place.
This is the first time I see your work.
I will surely come back, because I subscribe.
On my PS4 I do restores and builds in the Commonwealth. I love that.
I'm on a big project right now.
To go around my project I will have to do it in a series of several videos. I show Before and After, so that the world understands the change. Especially people who don't really know these spaces - and how it must have been before.
😀
Good continuation 👍🏾
Congratulations on this build.
See you next time.
Thanks. And how did your build go?
Amazing
Thanks Noodles.
11.5/10
God bless the minutemen
Agreed! Thanks for the comments Reptile.
Was there any mods specifically to make the Castle look this clean ? I feel like the only mod I can really think of is the OCDecorator and maybe some patches
There's a mod I use that restored the castle as seen. Think it's called fully restored castle. I have my LO on a clip on my channel it's near the bottom of the LO . If you're interested.
what settlements should be, clean and nice living quarters, not fucking dirty bone pits.
Ya sometimes playing the game I've been like man somebody pick up a broom already. So much debris around living spaces and we'll traveled areas and establishments. Must be a lot of rolled ankles in DC and good neighbor ect. with all the garbage laying around.
Awesome looking base. Do you have a mod list in one of your videos?
Thanks and yes uploaded recently
Amazing castle, but one problem. 6:07
Ya their always complaining.
can i have the save file for this settlement you k ow you can upload them to nexus and stuff
I'll see what I can do.
@@thunderfish2 yay becouse nighty percent of us would love to have this in our games
Can you drop the mod list for this? I'd love to recreate it
Thanks for checking out the build. I have a clip of my load order on my channel. It's gotten fairly large over time. Fortunately, the bulk of the building mods are towards the top of my L/O.
If you have any specific questions about the build, just let me know
what mod makes the tunnels a settlement? also amazing build
Thanks. Workshop in Castle Tunnels I believe it's called. It just allows you to build in the tunnels it's not an actual settlement though. Also used clean Castle Tunnels mod.
Is it possible to post a list of the names of mods you used?
Quite a few I'll post a clip of mod list/order next day or two.
What mod did you use to get the settlers/minutemen to shoot at the shooting range?
Settlement menu markers great mod ,allows you to place activities markers guard , vendors and provisionor schedules shooting range stuff. A bit more too.
@@thunderfish2 Sorry I took so long to reply to you thank you so much
the stalls near the coffee pot are what get me. otherwise BEAUTIFUL !!!
Lol. That's been pointed out to me before on live and valid . But at the same time though caffeine is a diuretic.
Id download this if it was a mod, is there a way that you can make it a mod for Xbox
I've looked into downloading settlement blueprints to the nexus, a mod is required to do so and I got the impression that it's for pc.
How many minutemen there. Think you needs some crops, they're complaining about food.
39 at the castle and 18 in tunnels. All food is imported from other settlements mainly Abernathy Farm and Sunshine Tidings , trade routes share food and water as well. Although the settler dialog will still lodge complaints.
@@thunderfish2 57, Impressive. I've only managed 52 without mods. Abernathy farm is a great food supplier
@@leaaronsanchez no 52 that's impressive. I got to 58 in a round about way. You beat me.
@@thunderfish2 Got the idea from Oxhorn, building a 4 story barrack on one wall. Was thinking of doing the double bed like Fort McHenry where 2 recruits share a bed, but it takes too much space.
@@leaaronsanchez I see! Sharing beds hmm. I decided to stop at 39 above ground as that accomplished what I was aiming for and couldn't get much higher anyhow.
Also quite a bit over build limit so didn't want to stress things any further with more NPC s.
Still 52 man that's a full Castle! That's actually a full Platoon you have going on there lol.
What mod did you use to make the castle walls complete?
Restored castle walls
And the Brotherhood is still alive. In Reality of Fallout. Having the Brotherhood stay alive will be a threat towards the Minutemen due to the fact Laser muskets are technology. Technology which the Brotherhood hordes. And would possibly attack them if and when the first shot is fired first. Them having Vertibirds aswell I wouldn’t spare the Brotherhood if I was you! RAGE WAR against them. My play through I destroyed all factions of Railroad, BOS, Raiders, Institute & Acadia.
If you side with brotherhood and minute men it's better. Especially sense the minute men can act as a "check and balance" to make sure the brotherhood doesn't over step their boundaries or else artillery go boom.
I've paused progress of the game about mid way while I build up the settlements to keep the world at its most active and to be able to travel to all faction locations for various reasons. Not sure who I'll side with in the end . Let the brotherhood survive last play through but I'm thinking of letting the railroad survive this time as I think the minuteman and railroad would complement each other. Minuteman would be military and railroad covert ,espionage wing of organization.
@@thunderfish2 Thing is That peace is not going to end well. At the end of the day the Brotherhood wants to horde Technology Power Armor and etc. Raid Farms and kill off any settlement that would not deem worthy of Humanity. Like the Slog or Goodneighbor peaceful communities. It’s like saying if the underworld in Fallout 3 survived. Establishing Peace? There is no Peace between Brotherhood. The Brotherhood would see the Minutemen as a next Threat because if you walk to a BOS Soldier he will say “Not sure of the Minutemen having so much firepower “ think Further beyond that. The Minutemen are the vision of Pre War Soldiers like the Lyons Pride in Fallout 3 or better yet a starting pre war Gov. If Brotherhood continues its presence in Commonwealth Recruitment is high decreasing Minutemen support. If Brotherhood is destroyed, only then will the Minutemen will have Vertibird Support. At the end of the end who is capable of restoring hope, restoring order, restoring America!

@@enclaveleader6245 I think if the minute men are helped before you help the brotherhood and all bases are maxed out, the brotherhood wouldn't stand a chance against the minute men. They'd get artillery striked and have constant minute men reinforcements on their ass if they started a war. They would lose practically instantly sense the minute men have full artillery coverage of the Commonwealth other than the glowing sea, as well as reinforcements anywhere. And the brotherhood would need to defeat 32 maxed settlements before reinforcements arrive and the pridwen is destroy. Not happening. All the settlements would know of the attack before the brotherhood destroys even one settlement. The brotherhood would be instantly demolished by artillery.
What mods did you use to make the settlers/npcs do those animations
That would be Settlement Menu Markers,Interactive settlement Objects and USO.
