      Ronniel Cleo Bayaua no. It’s a 10 watt charger. I think the plus models are recommended to use a 10 amp charger. I had plus models. I should’ve said that. But if I’m not mistaken the others can hold up to a 10 watt charger safely. The small iPhone brick chargers are 5 wats. I use a iPad chager on my xs max and have been since day one and my battery health is still at 100% at almost a year old. You aren’t charging for near as long when you use these chargers.

    Note that with the Apple 12 watt/2.4 ampere charger, you don't need to get a dedicated USB-C to Lightning cable. You can still use a USB-A to Lightning cable. I use an Anker PowerStrip 2 24 W charger with two 12 W USB-A charging ports to charge my iPhone X and iPad Pro (10.5 inch model).

      @@NXGen461 The real advantage of the 18w comes when you go 0% to 50%. After that charge rate begins to slows down. It keeps slowing down the more charged up it gets. Like after 80% all 3 might be charging at the same wattage/speed. Remember the device only pulls what it needs. So your not longer using the close to the full potential of the 18 watts. It's is done so the battery doesn't degrade too fast.

      I'm fairly certain that batteries are significantly better with regards to degradation. Modern phones have software baked in which doesn't allow your phone to heat up that much while charging or it'll actually stop it. Especially now that Apple got busted for slowing down the iPhone because of battery degradation. Charge your device how you would like and enjoy it because you are probably going to be getting another phone within a year or two with the way that cell phone companies do upgrades.

    • @ninhbac04

      actually the longer you have your phone plugged in the faster your battery will degrade. fast charging to 80% and unplugging it will be better than leaving your battery charging for a longer period of time with the 5w charger.

    No one nowhere has explained this:
    USB A > Lightning (2m) 12$ Charging Cable
    USB C > Lightning (2m) 39$ Charging Cable
    You have to buy a charging brick for 19$ from Apple in order to use USB C > Lightning cable the bundle is 58$.
    But.. USB A > Lightning cable is cheaper and you probably have a charging brick that is 30-60W WITH USB A Output
    So the question is: Are the charging speeds the same?
    Different cables have different AMP/Volts Tolerance some enabling you fast charge some that don't.

      @Lol-rv5bv 4 роки тому

      Because 1 that’s a small phone with a smaller battery, so Ofc battery won’t be as good. 2, fast charging while doing an intensive task like gaming ruins it and produces more heat which will further degrade your battery. I highly suggest don’t play games while fast charging, instead play ur games on a 12W charger

  • @DorianStoll

    Exemple for iPhone 12: The iPhone 12 battery has a power of 10.78 Watts. It can only take a maximum of 10.78 Watts. A 12 Watts charger would suffice (5V 2,4A). Always test the output power of the outlet with an energy consumption meter. No matter the size of the Apple charger, it will only take 5V for iPhone and iPad. On large Apple chargers, voltages above 5V will only be used for MacBook. People buy Apple 30W chargers for their iPhone, but it only draws 5V at 3A which is 15W power, moreover the iPhone will only draw 10.78W.

      Chan Saet cause it doesn't. iPhone X/XS only allow 15w. Any charger with more Watt is a waste of money on those phones. iPhone 11 pro on the other hand does accept about 22w but according to some tests it does drop to 18w so 18w charger with type c cable would be ideal
