I love how the dog is always getting in the camera with Xander ❤️
Yeah. When did X steal North from Jim. Hahaha. Had to be the bacon!!
@@robertbeirman107 They seem to have a bond 😆
@@robertbeirman107 hey was just in it for the bacon
@@XanderBudnick when r u picking up your new pup?
Because Xander feeds him
The doggo pulling its own sled was the cutest thing I’ve seen
And the way he didn't know how to walk in the booties. Heart melting.
Ikr.. especially, when he puts on his snow boots for the first time.. lol. Overdose of kuteness..
There were so many highlights in this video:
- Adorable dog helping out, raising morale, and sometimes walking in his booties.
- Xander gets his drone stuck in a tree and goes on a short climbing adventure.
- So many bushwacks and crazy trailblazing as they work as a team to get things done.
- Lake trout catch!
- Dealing with unseasonable warmth and having to improvise over slush and sketchy ice.
- Awesome shots of nature.
- Some techniques and tricks sprinkled throughout (including another Xander poop tip).
- Making the smart and safe call when conditions grew potentially dangerous.
- Skipping any recording on the last night, which seems like a clear sign of how exhausted they were after one sled went for a short swim.
What an adventure. Thanks!
The drone getting snagged was a great addition!
Can't forget the coffee shot
Glad you enjoyed my friend :)
Poop tips are always nice
It amuses me to see how idiots eat polymers from the plastic containers and utensils they use for meals, then over time they get cancer or other diseases related to the consumption of synthetics and they don't know why it happens to them. Ha ha
Xander's talent for camera positioning and editing is just beyond any other outdoors channel. He is honestly such an inspiration!
These kinda trips are by far the hardest trips I’ve ever done. The only part that sucked was the slush.
You know they make rubber water proof boots? I always plan on slush. Seems weird you guys aren’t wearing them.
I am confused, Were you on this trip or have you done it before when the winter was warm??
@@michaelbroyer3918 I’ve done my own trips like this one. I wasn’t the infamous cameraman.
Hyatt must be a blast! How do we get links for the rest of the videos that Xander and his friends have? Do you know cuz I don't know where to find them❤
Xander this was your best yet. I think we need to recognise that not only are you becoming a better outdoorsman every trip but a better videographer. Some of the shots here were just breathtaking. I was really inspired. Thank you.
Thank you 😊
Love you’re perspective of the adventure and some really gorgeous shots you captured as usual.
Thanks brother:)
My two favorite outdoor UA-camrs 💪👍. This was highly anticipated and did not disappoint. What a profoundly tough slog through all that slush. I absolutely love seeing all the different perspectives and the personalities come together. Please do a Canoeing adventure together as well, you all make such a strong team, it just makes sense haha.
Thank you so much for bringing us along on this particularly tough outing.
@@davidmodeland429 You're welcomg David! Maybe we'll get out on a canoe trip before too long! Have a great day and glad you like the content.
"Hope you guys enjoyed that one as much as I did" - Dude you have no idea! My wife and I sat here and just watched the whole thing. It's almost 1am and we enjoyed every minute of it. You're our fav channel. Thank you.
I think I speak for everyone here when I say North was a very good boy this trip.
Xander just so you know you have become my eyes for adventure for the past few weeks. I've received surgery on my knee (ACL reconstruction) and only minimal movements are allowed. Your videos are what gives me the motivation to recover faster so I can go on an adventure again ( hopefully in the next few months), big fan from the Philippines.
Heal up my friend
What a ambitious trip. I’ve done it in summer but couldn’t imagine doing it in winter. You guys rock. Excellent video Xander
Ten DAYS?! Holy crap, guys! Kudos to you! ❤
You guys are absolutely mental! I loved every second of it, what a trip! Also, extra points for the doggo content ❤️
Your videos always make my weekends better than they already are. Looks like you had a 4 legged buddy on this trip, he was so cute and such a good boy! As always, thanks for sharing your fun adventures with all of us ✌️😁🏕
What a challenging adventure. A group of the best bush craft survivalists. You always make the best of what you are faced with. The dog just loves you - animals sense a persons energy, and you have great energy. Oh, and BTW, great to hear Max's beautiful music, again. Blessings.
You all survived 10 days in the cold wilderness. So much to be proud of!
10 days is quite the adventure and accomplishment 👊 I loved how the dog helped when he could and had his own sled to pull. Priceless!
It was great to see the 4 of your teaming up with Jim Baird. The trip looked crazy like crazy horrible fun. I would like to see more of the 4 of you pairing up in these expidishens
Jim Baird, Xander Budnick....hands down the top two wilderness YT'ers. Keep up the amazing content!!!
Your videography is superb. Beautifully shot and edited. Scenery out of this world. A thoroughly gripping adventure! Thanks for taking us there. Nice dog, more of him, please.
I live for your firewood edits! And now.... tent clip edits, woo hoo! Awesome video, very amazing. Love the doggo. That night shot at 49:15 is simply beautiful. Perfect drone shots. Thank you for taking us along on your adventure.
I love how Jim is just a natural leader and just was giving so much to the crew. Him and Brad are true lads
Well guys I'm sad I missed out but also am happy haha epic slog and real adventure. The best kind. Very well put together video and job shooting despite the challenges. Hats off 🤠
Lol it was a toughy. We will get out soon my man :)
North is SO cute!! I love how he pulls his own sled, and he has so much fun with all the guys, especially Xander. ❤️
Looks like you and North had a little trip bromance going on. I hope Jim didn’t get jealous! Ha ha
What an awesome dog to have as a camping companion!! Great Video Man!!
Solid reminder that you don't make plans for nature, nature makes plans for you. Very resilient and strong spirited team! Watched the whole thing and didn't want it to end! Looking forward to new adventures, Xander
You guys are all so amazing. Challenging yourselves to new levels and taking things stride. An incredible adventure!
Really enjoyed your video. Hope you setup a group trip next year. I am turning 70 this year and my adventures are scaled back. So I am enjoying your trips all that much more. Being able to document these trips for others to enjoy is so awesome. Thank you for sharing. Your drone coverage is breathtaking.
Incredible trip you guys . The determination in you guys threw all of the obstacles shows how well rounded you and your adventure friends really are . I love the winter and you just take it to a whole new level !! Thanks Xander !!!
Your videos give me strength when I want to drink. Today was especially hard for me, but I knew, I would be coming home to watch this adventure. Thanks to you and the crew! Much love 🤙🏼
Proud of you for staying the course away from alcohol. There will be many hard days, but there are good people who are rooting for you to overcome.
@@daphnelattimer9952 Thank you for your kind words!
@@bzboarder122 You're so very welcome! You are needed. Overcome alcohol and keep watching these videos if they help you.
Watching Xander’s videos are therapeutic, thank you for the upload and high quality content as always.
I agree. It's bringing me some peace in a chaotic world.
I couldnt agree more! I always watch them after a heavy day in the concrete jungle! Keep up the amazing content Xander!
My goodness y’all what a slog fest 😳 You are strong and of mind, body, and spirit for sure. Beautiful scenery and I call this “winter” the one that wasn’t! Nice to see you all together ( hi Max ) and North sure was a trooper as well. Shackleton’s adventure is one of my very favorites…beyond incredible. Thanks for sharing this Xander and I hope your next trip out is a bit more fun 😉 Be well, Barret💜
As someone from the area, these videos have gotten me so inspired and excited this Spring and Summer to go and rediscover my love for nature. I never knew so many hidden gems existed in the area so I'm making a wishlist and getting ready venture out. Thank you so much for the inspiration.
This is nothing short of amazing content. Dear Xander and team…thank you so much. I’m watching this over a Sundays night dinner - what a joy!
Great trip. I love how north pulls his own weight.
Thanks for taking us along your adventure.
Holy crap this Aussie grandma was exhausted after watching that video, I needed a nanny nap. Really enjoyed it, cute dog 🦘🐶😘
It's my dream to one day find friends who want to go on adventures like these!
Thank You SO MUCH for taking us along and sharing with us this "AMAZING, WONDERFUL", adventure. I've truly watched it Twice. Blessings to you all. Would Absolutely Love to see more of your videos.
Your videos resonate with me. Camping out and cooking my own food with a dog and staring at the stars is basically where I would like to be in a few years
Love the timelapses, the effort you go to does not go unnoticed. Thank you
You have to have a dog.
been following you and Jim for a while and its so cool to see you guys on an adventure together.
YYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

Love the videos Xander is always a massive highlight of my day to de-stress and watch your adventures. Thank you for the challenging work you put into these videos, we're all very fortunate to enjoy them.
Yessss! Awesome man, love those timelapse and drone shots!! 🙌🏻 📷 brings back all the memories haha
Always love getting notifications whenever you post, always makes me smile especially on hard days, thank you 🙏🏽❤️
It is after this trip that Xander changed his content to desert trekking in Southern California where he moved to Coachella and turns into a desert rat/santa monica surfer stud! 😁👍🏼
Xander, thank you for filming this very difficult woodland journey. I know it was a ruff one with the slush and all. The scenery was beautiful and your friends and brother are fantastic adventurers. Get some rest. Kick back a while. Thanks for taking me along. All the best to you. Greg / CT USA
Another gorgeous trip. Loved the music, the scenes, and you roughing it, guys moving like a steam railroad train through horrible snow, up hills pushing to help each other along. Makes one appreciate what old time fur trappers faced with no help at all.
It was must be one of your most memorable trip. Great effort for filming in such a hard conditions. Great video! 👍👍
Yeah go you guys!! Go the woof woof! Yewww!!! Love the videos from Australia!
I came for the trip, but stayed for the “Poop tips” 😅👍🏻
i love how even though you are on a tough trip you still capture amazing footage. like all the clips where you are walking in the distance. your hard work is not going unnoticed!!!! thank you so much!
22 minutes in and it’s making me want to take a winter trip! North adds so much to the video! Haha. Seems to enjoy the camera! Love taking my dogs on my trips!
and that huskie is such a goodboi.
@@tjellis1479 😯🤌✨
Love every second!! Screw the "shorts" like TikTok!! This is what I like. Many thanks!!
I love this so much! Men behaving like men, bonding, being strong, competent, climbing trees. This is excellent for your mental health!
I’m always super envious of the trips you do wishing I was there but man... this one... I’m more than happy watching from the comfort of my home. All four of you (and the dog) are beasts for even attempting this. Mad respects and great vid as always!!
We will have to get out sometime
@@XanderBudnick For sure👍
U guys did more than most of us could or would have! I'm just happy to keep ahead of the snow here! I can actually see myself doing winter camping thanx to watching all of u! Btw we had some awesome northern lights here about a week ago at Eagle Lake!
It’s so cool to actually comment on a video that just got posted. I love watching your content. It brings me so much peace and comfort seeing you camp.
One of my favourite videos of yours Xander, keep at it ma boy
What an amazing trip! Honestly if it wasn’t for the good boy 🐕 idk if you all would’ve made it!
Much love ❤
“Two hobbits lay here.” Nearly soiled myself laughing at that gem. You always keep it as entertaining as it is interesting.
This is an amazing video! Thank you for sharing such a wonderful adventure x
Great video! Loved all the different camera shots and the whole adventure. Well done!
I know I could never do what you guys did.. A lot of work, from putting up tents to taking them down and trying to walk through that snow etc.. what a trip.. and I would imagine very exhausting.. Jim's Dog North seem to really like being with you.
Epic. Jim’s always an asset. Nate and Max are machines. And Xander needs a husky. Thanks guys.
Love the trip :) Jim is one of my very favorites But I watch you every day Yes you are Amazing...Also love you and John on trips... so looking forward to spring :)
Peak youtube content. I love your humour your easy goings and your love for nature. Your stoicism is inspiring
I am much closer to my life's end than its beginning but even at my peak I never had the combination of strength, stamina and determination these guys have. And even though they benefit hugely from all sorts of modern technology, they are really impressive. The spirit that created Canada out of such a wild environment. PS I HATE the combination of wet and cold.
I really love hearing Jim jabbering in the background of every video. You each remind me of aspects of myself.
A truly impressive trip! They're all cool, but this one takes some of the most guts!
What an epic trip. Just wanted to say thanks for taking the time to film it, and really just to leave a comment for the algorythm, you deserve it. Subscribed to Jim and your brother, awesome dudes.
That’s a hell of a tour through some rough conditions. You guys all did really well with the route you completed. Nice work getting that drone back (and glad it faired better than mine). Awesome work as always.
Thanks for watching my man :D She was a toughie. also glad the drone was still flyable after that fiasco :p
What a trip boyz! Looks like a lot of chorin' but you figured it out in stylez.
16:07 in camping that's what we call "clean as need be"
32:18 coffee handbomb gargle😂
37:00 how to gut a Laker. Well done
37:35 North-in-boots, adorable
51:06 kisses of North
51:17 poop tips
59:54 Xander dies...
Xander, I spent 4 years in training to become a pseudo voyageur by training in the "Arrowhead" of Northern Minnesota. We covered 3oo km with Birchbark and Cedar Canoes loaded both ways in the larger lakes. You guys are truly true voyageurs. We were not allowed "broken" port'ages on many trips but mostly we would travel on water and Ottawa and Huron Traditional Port'ages.
Thank you for the trip. Y’all went through some beautiful scenery and some hard times but I truly enjoyed the trip.😊
Well done, so many obstacles, what an adventure. I’m thinking a dog could be in your future Xander? Loved seeing North hanging out with you.
Great vid Xander. We were a few hours north of temagami the week before and the conditions were terrible. Real bummer but you made the best of it with some fantastic camera work and story telling as per usual. Not sure how well that reflectix idea worked for you compared to me, tent looked kinda soupy night one haha. Hope it was ok. Although this one was a ton of work im sure you'll remember it fondly. These bigger trips typically don't pay the bills for UA-camrs but we appreciate the effort. See you on the next one buddy.
Reflctix worked great I could probably make it double wide and it would be perfect! Thanks for watching my man
Awesome video Xander, I always love your content. You guys definitely got your workout on this trip, not easy moving across that warm, wet heavy snow.
At least lots of learning curves along the way. It also might have been a historical trip when you think about it, not only did you pass along as other men had done 100 yrs ago, yeah, with different cargo, maybe with a few more slay dogs but given the sluggish weather, you are showcasing Mother nature at her finest, rain, snow, sunshine, lost drones in a tree, doggy kisses, warmed up bacon and hot chocolate.
Man your videography is on another level, honestly! Thanks for putting in that extra effort to turn your videos from good to great. I really enjoy watching your content 👌
Xander: "Blah, blah! You've probably been kissing Jim, too. That's disgusting!" The dog pondering: "If you think that's bad, guess what I was "kissing" before Jim."
My main takeaway from this video is that dogs are awesome. The spirit of companionship shown by a dog feels so pure.
Watched again! Thank God all of you made it through without any dangerous problems! 🙏🙏🙏🙏
I don't know why but the word PORTAGE has become a trigger for me. 💀💀💀
Hell yeah Shackleton!!! What an inspiring story. You guys are all so hardcore. Way to kick ass and keep pushing out there! 💙
WOW! Thank-you so much! I waited for this for a long time thanks guys!
Dogs truly are one of the greatest aspects to being alive.
Awesome video as always. Been waiting for this for awhile. The aerial shots is amazing, and Xander also found a new friend.❤
What a journey.. thank you for bringing the views with you guys.
Fantastic video ❤. I would like to thank you for making us see it. Xander, Maxim, thank you. My life was always into working, but after going threw some medical issues in the past 2 years, and enjoying your adventures via you tube because i was at home, my wife and i have decided because my health is better, to enjoy more our beautiful nature. In April we will start to be more outside, walking trails, going into national parks, eating on camp fire etc. The time spent at home fighting gave me the chance to enjoy your videos and showed me that there other things in life then working working. To you many thanks ❤ .
Beautifully stated. I went through something tragic. I'll share that life is beautiful and there's so much we take for granted. Work is not life. I hope you enjoy the outdoors and it brings you and your wife the peace and beauty, and respite you seek.
I loved this film. I live in Sudbury, so Wolf Lake to Paradise Lagoon is an annual day trip (you can actually drive that sled trail in the summer all the way to the top of Chiniguchi Lake), but I've never seen the area from a drone perspective before. It was so beautiful to see ... Thank you. Really glad you guys found that snowmobile trail... Too bad there was no one around to carry your sleds for you...
Waking up to a new Xander Budnick video is one of the best things ever. Gonna watch this with my breakfast 😋
I’m speechless. Incredible- everything.
Thanks for all your efforts in sharing!
One of my favorite videos. My cat Meowsephina Bonino loved it too. Her favorites were the time lapse and the dog. Aerial views were great too. Thanks for the entertainment and education.
Amazing to see your trips man! Much love from Northern Finland. Keep doing what you do best.
You and max seem like good people hopefully you do more winter camping with him
Mate! Been watching for a while and this in one of my favs now. What an adventure aye. Loved it so much, cheers for that
I watch this instead of a movie. Great post. Thank you Xander. Safe travels.
48:47 totally caught me off guard, that was hilarious. As always, Xander's dedication to set up so many camera shots is absolutely phenomenal.
Excellent video guys, thank you for that. Good job.
