    4 years ago I felt lost, even though society had clearly paved the path for me. I was 17 and living in Stockholm Sweden. After seeing the documentary "Alone in the wilderness" by Dick Proenneke, I became completely obsessed with the idea of just packing a rucksack of hand tools and wondering off into the vast forest of Sweden to create my own life, living off the land and build a log cabin. I found my meaning, but I was still in high school. My Grandparents owned forest so I started spending more and more time with them every weekend, wandering out, dreaming of my obsession and asking for advise. I had absolutely no prior knowledge of anything how I was going to do this, just the obsession to learn. When I turned 18 I told everyone of my plans. I received a gopro camera from my parents, so I could at least film some of my adventures. I hadn't even thought about filming anything but I did so and am I glad I did. It is a long story from here of hard work, pain, cold, making many many mistakes and figuring out how to solve problems all alone by trial and error. But I finally built the cabin all alone after 3 years. Along the way I also became passionate in filmmaking, so I invested in a better camera. The whole journey is filmed on a tripod and edited by me, which was lets just say a struggle (I am insane). Some people will doubt this and say I had a film crew and construction team, which I just take as a big complement. I know my journey and I hope to inspire others the same way Dick Proenneke inspired me.

    This is the longest youtube video I have ever watched. At first I was sad, it seemed the guy was so sad and alone. Then I watched more and I was impressed, so many things had to be done and none of it looked easy. At the end I teared up when I seen his family and friends show up, I haven't teared up in 15 years. It was nice knowing he had people who loved him.

    What makes this so unique is the fact that there's no blaring music. It's just the sounds of nature and someone building a cabin.
    Honestly at first: I thought it was gonna be boring but I somehow got really hooked.

    • @adirsab
      @adirsab Рік тому +157

      No need for music here. These sounds are so relaxing because they are natural to us, the sounds of nature are in harmony. The sounds of the city are in disharmony, they are unnatural and cause us stress. Noise pollution is terrible to humans, animals and the environment.

    I think something I love about this is that he didn't force himself to have to rely on everything from nature, it looks like maybe his grandparents or himself went out and bought some things to help him on his journey, like tools and concrete powder and other helpful survival equipment, even a razor to cut his hair. It just makes it feel more realistic in a sense, and he is very open about the tools he used showing them in many camera shots clearly and demonstrating the use. This is just a masterpiece of his entire 3 year journey, so much respect.

      If the point is to build a log cabin, it doesn't mean you have to make the tools yourself or anything like that. My Self Reliance -channel is also a good example of that. Obviously you can use whatever tools and lifting equipment you feel comfortable with. For many of these guys it's the process of building a cabin by hand. Not to be some 100% primitive all from nature kind of a -channel, which usually are also fake as fuck.
      Huge respect to these guys doing something like this and enjoying the nature while they're at it.

      God protects you from the association [with Him] . Amin 🍓 وَٱللَّهُ خَلَقَ كُلَّ دَاۤبَّةࣲ... Allah has created every [living] creature from water. And of them are those that move on their bellies, and of them are those that walk on two legs, and of them are those that walk on four. Allah creates what He wills. Indeed, Allah is over allthings competent. (Quran) وَمَا مِن دَآبَّةٖ فِي ٱلۡأَرۡضِ إِلَّا عَلَى ٱللَّهِ رِزۡقُهَا... And there is no creature on earth but that upon Allah is its provision, and He knows its place of dwelling and place of storage. All is in a clear register.(Quran) PS : Allah is the name of God in arabic . The arabic jewish & christians arabs they say Allah too . In the arabic bible it is written Allah. Only 18% of Muslims are Arabs but 82 % they are Muslims but not Arabs so the majority of Muslims are not Arabs .& the arabic word islam, it means submission (Submit to God) which is the religion of all prophets since Adam including the messengers Moses, Jesus and Muhamad peace and blessing of Allah be upon Them all .They have One God, one Religion & one straight path (the pure Monotheism). إِنَّ هَـٰذِهِۦۤ أُمَّتُكُمۡ أُمَّةࣰ وَ ٰحِدَةࣰ وَأَنَا۠ رَبُّكُمۡ فَٱعۡبُدُونIndeed this community of yours (your religion) is one single community(is one religion), and I am your Lord, so worship Me.(Quran)مَا كَانَ إِبۡرَٰهِيمُ يَهُودِيّٗا وَلَا نَصۡرَانِیࣰّا... Abraham was neither a Jew nor a Christian, but he was one inclining toward truth, a Muslim [submitting to Allah ]. And he was not of the polytheists(Quran) إِنَّ مَثَلَ عِيسَىٰ عِندَ ٱللَّهِ كَمَثَلِ ءَادَمَۖ... Indeed, the example of Jesus to Allah is like that of Adam. He created him from dust; then He said to him, "Be," and he was. (Quran)وَإِلَـٰهُكُمۡ إِلَـٰهࣱ وَ ٰحِدࣱۖ لَّاۤ إِلَـٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ ٱلرَّحۡمَـٰنُ ٱلرَّحِیمُAnd your God is one God. And ever is Allah Appreciative and Knowing .(Quran) Thanks wich you the best from heart🍓All prophets came with abnormal proves to their people to prove their message from God. And because the Prophet Muhammad (Peace and Blessing of Allah be upon him) He was the last Prophet and messenger for the Worlds, (the jinn and mankind) so his proves will exist till before the day of judjement , the day of Resurrection .And not like all other prophets which their Miracls and proves were just in their time . @John Haney why are you so angry at women wanting to be ambitious when it comes to physicality? this project was ambitious even for a man, but he still achieved it. people can do anything they put their minds & bodies to. as men and women we should be empowering each other, not being hateful towards one another. plus, who raised you to believe that women couldn’t band together and do it as a team? we don’t “need” a man to be there. a solo woman, or a group of women could achieve this with determination and strength. your “99.9%” bs statistic isn’t even accurate anyways.

    I'm so envious of your courage to just seize your dream with both hands as so many of us are too anxious to do. I'm also impressed with the perseverance and ability shown in this video. You're a singular inspiration.

      Usually they have family to back them up financially. The world doesnt allow for this type of behavior for a reason, sadly. We all wish we could.
