I agree that fallout 4 had a lot less weapons than they should have but the mod system certainly wasn't linear. If you look at weapon mods in NV they're all just straight up improvements over the base version but in 4 you can change how the gun functions
One of the things I truly admired NV for was the added ammo crafting/reloading feature, compared to its other installments. It made the game so much more immersive and strategic - specially on Hardcore, which meant prioritizing your ammo to suit the encounter, and thus utilizing the rounds/shells/cells best suited, furthermore making every shot count. When I first saw the F4 trailer about modding every weapon and armor, I immediately hoped to see the same for the ammo. Sadly I was disappointed and same with the lack of weapon and armor degradation (??). It´s an apocalyptic wasteland, how would your gear not be worn through wear and tear? But I digress; cool video though

I love how this is the only cut content video where you admit that the cut content would not have improved the game. It's true, the guns are a surprisingly exceptional part of FNV and have aged well for a 10+ year old game.

Yeah, maybe it's a big player comfort for a lot of people but I really hated that your weapon never degraded.
You sound like a surfer dude, and I enjoy it.
Thank you for continuing this phenomenal content
The laser pdw sound is magnificent
It would've been so cool to do a Chinese pistol playthrough.
I think it would do good as a pistol that did damage between the 9mm and 10mm pistols and was obtainable in slightly after the early game
The tri beam laser rifle was in new vegas it was one of a kind before gun runners
TriangleCity can you do a video on fallout new Vegas cut armour and clothing? I remember Reading one the fallout wiki that FNV was supposed to have raider power armour in it was a mix of I Believe t-45 and t-51 power armor
its actually amazing how many weapons made it into the game, this video has since improved my knowledge of the game drastically, and its basically the only fallout i play. currently working on the dlcs now.
Just gonna say you have the perfect narrating voice for this type of content
Could the Riveters be a nod to Bioshock? I know a few stuff of Bioshock made their way in New Vegas and their riveter looks like a heavy weapon.
It was more likely an attempt to include a planned weapon from Van Buren, which predated Bioshock.
I love how this is the only cut content video where you admit that the cut content would not have improved the game. It's true, the guns are a surprisingly exceptional part of FNV and have aged well for a 10+ year old game.
I should point out, 15mm EC is Electromagnetic Cartridge, not Energy Cells.
I didn't even know about that photo quest lol
I really wanna try it out now
8:49 Carrington Institute Theme... Nice!
I'm glad someone remembers Perfect Dark!
One of the reasons why FNV picked my interest when I was younger and it's truly a shame that so many weapons were cut from the game. Great video btw👍
So the lonesome road dlc was built through assets found in the trash, explains a lot
That cut pip boy icon is actually still in the game.
It is what ceasers fist looks like in your inbent
The Faderator is extremly useful against Deathclaws and boss characters like Legate Lanius because it's overpowered.
"It can fire as fast as you can pull the trigger,"
*Me having Borderlands flashbacks to Jakobs weapons*
Unless it's the rex or elephant gun then it's slower then that
i wish they kept the cut cryolator in the files from fallout 3. smh my head😔
good stuff as always
I didn't even know the cryolator was cut from F3 😮
Thanks dude! 💙
@@TriangleCity 👍 no probs bro
If this game every gets remade I wish every weapon gets a unique variant. Especially guns like the the anti material rifle and light machine gun.
Bozar?
As unfortunate as it is, it’s better to have cut things out due to time constraints than have to add more due to time constraints
18:14 someone may have commented this already (in which case sorry) but the tri beam is in the base game
The weak plasma rifle seems like it could've been part of those broken weapons that are also in the bunker.
The laser pdw sounds a lot like mini guns in fallout 2
Someone should get all of the info on the cut content and scrapped ideas for New Vegas and turn it into a mod. I'd call it, New Vegas - Definitive Edition
Doc Mitchell: I Cant Pick up this picture and show it to you. That animation is too hard.
Joshua Graham: *Reloads 19-11 pistols with malicious intent
19-11?

I don't know one pew-pew from another bang bang shooty shooty.
@@screamingphoenix8113 okay well generally, when there is a number in the name of a firearm/vehicle/anything it either denotes its year of adoption or its model number. In this case, the "M" stands for model and the "1911" refers to its year of adoption by the Colt company, and it was subsequently adopted as such by militaries around the world.
Another great video, thank you! I found it really weird that the model for the double barrel shot gun from point lookout is in NV's files, yet isn't a fully realized weapon, though I guess the caravan shotgun does make it a bit redundant.
The fact that the missile launcher used to fire down Highwater Trousers orbital satcom strike on the tower near Raven Rock in fallout 3 still is in NV files tells you how much was ported over.
Abd it works exactly the same too, using missiles to to fire oversized rockets with a nuclear fat man blast and radiation output.
Iirc the FO3 enclave devil armour and the shock trooper armours are in the files as well, better even than the Remnants FO2 classic style one for DT
These videos are such a treasure. You put in so much work and give an exhaustive amount of information from every possible source. I start to get a feeling similar to when I watched the Bungie ViDocs and felt like I knew the developers. The love for these videos matches the passion that Obsidian put into this game. Awesome work yet again.
kinda random but i like your voice and the way you speak. you enunciate well and emphasize properly, so thanks.
What about the shock sword? That was an awesome weapon for getting up close and personal.
i still cant believe how much content you got out of the cut assets fallout NV keep up the great work dude found your channel 2 years back when looking for fallout new vegas cut content .
I think the stun grenades were working just fine. I mean, if someone tossed a grenade at me and all of my limbs fell off I’d be pretty stunned!
What made unique weapons so cool in new Vegas is that they usually had different models and textures. 4 basically just had stat changes.
I thought that there was a tri beam laser rifle at the end of the death claw promentory
ngl, this dude sounds like Chris McClean. Sounds like he's about to reveal the cut content of the Island of Wawanakwa
That’s the original “total drama” island, right?
What if one snipes the war memorial from render distance, would that guy still come directly to confront?
I've always thought the Laser PDW was used since i swore i have one in my inventory in my current playthrough.
It was, the unique version "laser pdw" was not.
Would've made sense to put the cut Chinese weapons with the stealth suits in the damn tho...
I rewatch your content often, here I am again
Great video! Always love to look at game development and I was actually thinking about how it’s odd no unique laser RCW was in game. Definitely using the mod now
Yeah, cause fallout 4 had like 10 guns
Borderlands curse of 10 guns
I misread that first weapon's sound effect file as "laserpewpew", and I'm so used to Bethesda's jokes sometimes that I didn't even re-read it until you didn't read what I thought I saw.
That said, I wish we had the Riveter. the Railway rifle was FUN.
"This is episode 46" How have I never seen one of these considering FNV is easily one of my top 3 favorite games of all time
I remembered being disappointed that the Railway Rifle wasn't usable in NV.
Not Gabe! I always keep him alive.
Thank you
I would've loved a photo taking quest!
The tri beam rifle does exist pre gun runners it's in the silver rush
And brotherhood paladins have it
I just came to write (before watching) that the Debug MegaPistol and the Hand Wraps that's associated with one the DlCs are my absolute faves.
The latter is absolutely funny when in use.
That's all. Good day!
9:10 I like the use of the perfect dark music
Wow! I am new to this channel and am very impressed by all the research and detail put into this video! Great Job and I am definitely liking and subscribing to your channel! Keep up the quality content and work!
I luv fallout new Vegas man. Can u also talk about a topic to this cut quest called the moon comes over the tower. I found these hidden journal entry’s in the h&h tools company, and heard rumors that that quest was supposed to grand but was cut from development. Might be a topic worth looking into.
moon comes over the tower is in the game. Im not sure if you mean cut down in size though? It is a small quest
You mean how apparently it was gonna originally help you access Mr Houses room?
@will it is a quest you do for the followers to bug his network so you can find out how he keeps himself alive
@@m33ddyhv oh that quest, I thought he was talking about the "override terminals" that are in the H&H tools HQ and a few other places
@@yaboil7774 yeah im not sure man haha
4:00 you can get the gun and ammo when you spawn in all gun/ammo container it’s in there(with commands )
Called triangle city
>uses squares in intros
Is there a mod to restore the Rivet gun just using the existing Railway Rifle or Junk Jet models and firing Scrap Metal? Seems like an easy implementation.
I havent seen any explaination so far for the acoustic guitar in dead money hidden outside the map around puesta del sol
8:48 god that part always cracks me up😂
The last time I played FO3/NV, was with the Tale of Two Wastelands mod, best mod ever for 3/NV.
Wait was that miss fortune railcannon thing a MGS2 reference?
Weapons and equipment having a complexity stat is so cool. I wish it was in fo4
12:38 Not having to use ammo is like, a huge point of going Melee. Might as well go with guns if my Power Fist requires ammo.
Tri beam laser rifles do exist in base game. You can get them at the the van graffs and the Wild Wasteland Aliens
If a video is this old, you can guarantee someone has already commented every single mistake I've made, but thanks for telling me again?
@@TriangleCity if you want to prevent that like well 99% of the human population does then you should pin a comment of either you or someone else clarifying that you recognise the error this should stop a decent amount of people leaving a comment although not all
