Edit: Pretty sure this video is cursed. Even this edited version has been by so many copyright claims and I've had to edit even more out, but since I don't want to upload it a third time and youtube's editing features are awful there's just some weird cuts now. Shoutout to BBC for claiming all the revenue because I included a 15 second clip of Doctor Who lmao
This is a reupload because the original was hit with two copyright claims, one for the song used in the intro and another for showing 15 seconds of Dr Who. Unfortunately the Intro is gone now since I'd have to entirely recreate it for a different song, but on the plus side the sponsored ad is cut out too.
A few notes about mistakes/oversights in this video. The Toaster is more significantly based off of the Red Dwarf TV show, One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest was actually directed by Milos Forman and you can reach the dead Followers doctor by jumping up against some of the geometry around the Think Tank, but I don't think that was intentional. You were probably going to have the option to remove the forcefield and jump down, but the invisible wall around the Balcony stops you, suggesting it was added in later on by someone who didn't know the prop was down there.

That bug is clearly teleporting all active references to the sink balcony as well, mines from all over the pipes of Big MT, I can’t say I’m even too surprised such a bug happens with the way OWB mass spawns lobotomite enemies on you left and right like a horde of left 4 dead zombies.

    • @madams2239
      @madams2239 Рік тому +3

A breif peek at the GECK tells otherwise, the dead follower on the roof was placed there purposefully and not by mistake. It's literally some other poor schlep that wandered in like you did, and likely missed the teleporter by a bit leading to a fall.
The lobotomites frustrate me with their absurd detection, ghost people are just as terrible, both need a tweak to have one perception as they currently have zero which leads to problems with math and detection code.

Victor as companion would be kinda OP and I guess same goes to Yes Man. Besides these two and Vulpes, I don't see how any other vanilla characters could work as companions. Maybe Sunny Smiles to give Charisma reliant characters a companion so Charisma 10 isn't useless?
But man the fact that OWB has NO permanent companion inside the DLC is travesty, the dlc almost feels more horrory/lonely then DM or more lonely then fricking Lonesome Road just because it's the only DLC with no companion(besides Roxy who is only allowed to follow you in ONE building)

Old World Blues is worth doing early, because once you've upgraded a couple of the whatever-tron personalities, they turn junk into everything you need to make weapon repair kits. With repair kits, you can take 10 knackered weapons, and instead of combining them into 1 that works, you fix all 10 and sell them for tons of money.
Only thing missing is a wrench, so I obsessively keep my eyes open for them during gameplay.
You also get some nice perks from playing OWB, and it's easy enough to do at a lower level.
Money-wise, you're only limited by how often the vendors refill with money. Whoever's got a few grand, you take some of your stash over, and trade out all their caps. You end up waiting for them to refill while you're doing other quests. You can spend the money, incidentally, on mods from that doctor who has all sorts of bionic implants for you.
Then after THAT, Lonesome Road opens up the vending machines which have infinite caps! From then on in, you have infinite caps yourself, more or less. At that point, too, it just takes a wander round The Divide to gather up enough crap to sell to the vend-o-trons, the Marked Men carry some pretty expensive stuff. They all fall to the game's biggest cheat, the 12.7mm machine gun. This thing takes down anything! Get the exp to use it properly (it needs 100) and you're the deadliest thing on the continent!
You might pick up the exp during OWB, though you'll also want to put some into melee weapons, since the level is very short of gunpowder-based ammo, and it's not great for energy ammo either. Fortunately there's that enormous axe over there, that you can repair with the many little throwing axes hanging around. Then swing-swing-swing and down go the scorpions and everyone else. Then eventually you get to warp back to the Mojave again and can go get some ammo for the machine gun.

@@greenaum I know this is a month old but😂✌️I’ve thought about doing it like that but I haven’t played through them as soon as possible but I love having the skills to sound like a know it all. To some characters not Dean Domino in Dead Money though he’s a sore loser. But as of late I been playing the Frontier testing my game. Now that I’ve beaten it I might try a full vanilla + play through with The Frontier installed it was pretty amazing for a mod. I’ve only just been able to play a stable New Vegas on PC and it’s awesome.
I’ll definitely try this out my next play through. Take care✌🏼peace

@@Jacob_Tribal Not played The Frontier, currently playing Fallout 4 again for my 700th hour or something (not something I'm proud of!). I'm champing at the bit for Fallout London, but they seem to spend all their time releasing videos rather than the damn game! Have they got it nearly done yet? Is it a case of feature creep, people keep wanting to add their own new things to it? Management is much more important than you'd think on collaborative Internet projects, so many of them fall apart for the lack of it.
For New Vegas I was just describing the way I did it. Worked well for me! Probably it's going to be the way a lot of people play cos the game is designed a certain way.
I never had any problems with stability, though I have always bought the games late, GOTY editions and the like.
Currently had Fallout 76 installed a few months now and still haven't played it. Don't wanna do multiplayer! Why did I buy it even!? I suppose cos I love Fallout. Ah well one day soon.

Sounds like the 'Brave little toaster' was based more on the Talkie Toaster from Red Dwarf, than the movie that inspired its name.
the use of 'Waltz for Zizi' at the end of this video hit me hard. i feel like we'll never get another game like FNV. truly a timeless wonderful mess. it will be installed on my games drive until I die, played on and off to remind me how good the medium of games can be if people are truly passionate about the thing they are making.

The intelligent toaster with the obsession with heating bread products would be a direct life of Talkie Toaster from Red Dwarf. He was exactly like that, and it was very funny. Back then they might have got away with it, before the Interent and DVDs meant people could see foreign TV much more easily.
Actually it was the ship's computer, Holly, who had the 6000 IQ in Red Dwarf, but after 3 million years it had gone a bit senile.

Are you using PCR version of New Vegas? Aka the version of game given to post soviet nations for some reason.
Anyway, for some weird reasons some cut content very rarely appears in PCR version of New Vegas, it's very rarely and small content like how Dead Money in PCR version has one holotape/note fleshing out Sierra Madre lore slightly. In his Honest Hearts DLC he talked how there is a cut Joshua Graham dialogue about asking him about Salt upon wounds but apperently it DOES appear as dialogue topic in PCR version, so maybe your case is another example of this

But my controversial opinion, is that I actually liked Dead Money better. I thought the whole atmosphere was amazingly immersive. It stuck with me in a way Old World Blues didn't quite manage to do.
