I just lowered my subframe on the E60 the other day to get motor mounts out. I was always worried to lower that but thanks to your video you made it possible. Thank you. It wasn’t even hard at all

Thank you so much for showing us this. I’m going on 98k miles on mine and this is great to see from a super legit source. 👌🏻

Attach the magnet to the harmonic balencer. Check out Steve’s DIY he has a whole series on the vanos line and rod bearing replacement

You make it look easy! I'm about to start this job myself. I have to replace the subframe and the steering rack while I'm at it. Thanks for taking the time to show us all the way!

Thank you Nathan. I completed my rod bearing job with your help. I also changed my O2 sensors while I had the subframe removed. Super idea for anyone doing this job.

I’ve had the Evolve Alga N tune on mine for almost a year now. Totally recommend it...engine runs very smooth.

Great detailed video. Rod Baring videos like this are gold on youTube and that lift looks like its worth every penny.

I appreciate this auto channel compared to others because you explore the long-term issues that arise from the shiny-new press cars that they just test drive. I think your channel has big potential to partner with aftermarket brands that provide replacement parts/mods in the future.

That's a huge job you could only do that with a lift, kind of similar to timing chain guide job on the v8s, you are very skilled to do this yourself.

Man, You were 1 week late on this video. I was looking for an E60 subframe video 2 weeks ago when I was doing an oilpan gasket replacement on a 2010 528i. Better late than never!

I was a bit eerie when I dropped my cross member on my e92 m3 to do the rod bearings ( BE bearings and ARP rod bolts) as well. I went ahead and replaced motor mounts, header & collector gaskets (all oem) while I was in there. It’s a long process but well worth it in the long run. Good luck friend.

Power flex purples on thrust arm busing are worth the money. Oem just do not last. Helped a ton in e53 x5 as well as pumping windshield sealant in rear subframe bushings.

This is the reason why you keep original springs in a car. The reason why suspension is worn out is because of the lowering springs. They give so much stress to the suspension parts.
