I have the same car. 2007 M6. I agree with everything he says but the ignition coil price. You can buy the OEM KARLYN / BREMI coils on rock auto for $50.45. You can also get the OEM NGK spark plugs for $6.48 each. I had to go through everything he's doing -changed my bearings at 110k and the bearings looked slightly better. Go figure. Do the engine mounts too. They're cheap. Great video.
Also have the same car. I've been loving this content. I'm a hobby garage mechanic and this sort of stuff gives me confidence to take stuff on. I wouldn't, however, do my own rod bearings. :) I need a lift! I've owned mine for 2 years and have done a LOT of work on it. I spent almost 20K in stuff over the last 2 years to get it perfect. Hoping one day it becomes a highly sought after vehicle.
Dream machine always become a Nightmare Machine! I have a dead one on jackstands in my driveway! P.O.S. (but I love it when it runs) / Good Luck Nathan.
I have a 2017 m6 v8 and unfortunately it's already knocking.... if I change this will I be able to get rid of the knock or will it need a full engine rebuild?
Hey bro, I hope you are fine. So basically I got the m6 v10 recently, and the car had diagnosis and nothing major came out. The only plan is the rod bearings now, should I worry about other issues yet? Or mainly focus on rod bearings? I’m not gonna drive it daily Btw cuz it’s too loud 🤣 the car has 100,000 KM only
love the channel ... find it crazy that people pay crazy money for BMW's and they have so many problems yes yes I know when they work its a wonderful car ... but we are only talking about 65,000 miles on the car .....and from your other videos with rod bearings replacement to me there is something wrong about german cars and the fail rate and why do people still buy them... what I am saying when I buy something I expect at least 100k before anything need to be don't (besides regular maintenance stuff) .....
Lol you think this is some Camry or something?? It’s a V10 beast and people who buy these understand that it needs more love than your average car. Have fun with your boring car

Is the vanos, etc. as expensive if needed on an e92 m3?
What brand of rod bearings you use for S63 X5M? Tnx
Torque spec for s65 is the same?

Anyone else worried about eventually NOT finding parts for this motor?
no plastigauge? cmon now u cant just slap in new bearings n call it a day
He's done that on the other S85 rebuilds. How many times do you want to see the same thing?
Mercedes-Benz is the only German vehicles, for me. Non AMG.
FIRST!!😂
If your car needs all this work at only 65k miles, my secret tip for you is to buy a better car lol

Why buy m5 when you can buy c63, e63 that sounds as good and has a reliable engine
@@SasskinAMG that year just as worse 😅😅
@@Sasskin because nothing drives like this v10 for the price, now fuk off
