How old are you ? Honestly don’t worry about things. Try loads of thing. And fail. That how you learn and grow as a person. Go out of your comfort zone. You be surprised how much you grow as a person
One thing I get from these videos is that when you are young take the opportunity to do things, don't let fear hold you back because when you get older you will regret that you never took the opportunity.

Don’t be afraid says it all. My parents offered to send me to Granada uni in Spain as a 19yr old but being really shy I said no. Now as a 76 yr old I can genuinely say it’s been one of the biggest regrets of my life…….it was a doorway I should’ve gone thru. Don’t make the same mistake……go for it. One final thought (added later on)……people in the video mention wasting emotional energy but it’s also worth bearing in mind that worrying is also physically exhausting; big time.
So true! Something I remember my mom saying, "when you're dealing with personal relationship matters, blabbing about it is like, having a pot full of 💩 and stirring it with a wooden spoon & asking everyone to take a whiff." It really painted a picture. 😂
Hearing everyone talk about fear just reinforces the idea we all long for comfort and love. We’re all afraid of failing but failure is not our story. Great video
That first woman spoke to me. I have really bad anxiety that has held me back in SO MANY things. I’ve cried so many times at the aspect of socializing, making big decisions, and cutting people off that made me lose a lot of opportunities and cost me my mental health. My mom says I need to “get over” my fear but it’s not that easy. It’s getting better with therapy but I still struggle
I've also struggled with anxiety, and while I'm not quite where I want to be with it, it has gotten better. I have gradually challenged myself when it comes to doing the scary and overwhelming things and it has helped some. If you don't have the courage or energy to take big leaps, it is still good to challenge yourself in small ways. Sometimes it is better to focus on what you can do rather than what you can't.
How is therapy helping? Are you trying behavioral therapy or talk therapy? I would guess you must be doing some behavioral therapy. I wonder if Mel Robinsons 5 second rule would help? 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 let's do this
manicmaiden Get over It, yea right.. for someone without anxiety or depression life Is way easier and a person without these mental disorders would never understand someone who has them. It's like trying to explain why I prefer drugs and booze to someone who never tried them before.
the best way to get over it is to just jump right in it's so terrifying but it's rewarding, and is the most immediate fix i say this as someone with severe anxiety who ran away from so many opportunities for over a decade the next best way is small exposures. have a goal in mind of where you want to be (don't be afraid to think big). then, go towards that goal in small increments. ex: you want to become a famous musician. instead of booking your first show immediately and playing on stage, sing a song into your phone microphone, and try showing it to a friend, or one random person online.
Getting Old is also an incredibly huge blessing. Not everybody is lucky enough to live to be in their late 60s, 70s & 80s despite all the medical discoveries.
I’m a “no thanks” and over-thinking, anxious kinda person, slowly started saying yes a bit. Live your life, don’t ruin it for others on your way out. ❤
I came across your channel through this video-case studies are incredibly valuable, and I'm eager to see more in the future! Building wealth involves establishing routines, like consistently setting aside funds at regular intervals for smart investments.
That sounds like a good plan. In the past two years, working closely with a financial market specialist, I've built a six-figure diversified stock portfolio. Now, I aim to diversify even more this year.

At 72 yrs young I support this message wholeheartedly.! I have tried so many avenues in life and made a few mistakes, followed my heart and interests, but that's what life is about. Go for it.! You don't get a second chance to come back and do it again. 💪💪😃😃💃💃🧘🧘🏊♀🏊♀
This video is helping me to realise that although I may not have the career I want right now, by taking the big decision to move abroad and start a new life has given me the life I want and that just as, if not, more important 💛🙏🏾
I think one thing I learned from my cancer social worker is to stop being in a rush to be where you're not able to be at. There's no race. Especially in this era where everything's so fast paced, I feel so behind where all my friends and peers are successful in marriage, career, or just living their life. Stop comparing yourself with others. Only compare yourself on how far you've grown. 2 steps forward, 1 step back.
And you never know what those successful friends are dealing with. A lot of people are struggling in secret and are a house of cards waiting to fall. You might be the friend that helps them stay sane when it does.
I’m in my 60’s and I’d say to find something you’re really interested in and then try to do that as much as you can. Immerse yourself in it. If it doesn’t work out then fine. Move on to something else that you enjoy doing. I retire in a year and have had 3 full careers in my life. All unrelated to each other. They weren’t huge and they didn’t make me rich, but they were exactly what I wanted to be doing at that point in my life. When my wife and I are trying to make decisions on things we use the phrase, “Just jump of the cliff and build your wings on the way down.” So far we’ve made it every time, but you really need to have focus, because you usually don’t have much time.
I love this!! Mind sharing what those careers were? I’m in my late 30s worried about changing careers but I may have to. I love hearing other stories about this.
That old lady saying "stop worrying things that you can't change but improve your own life instead" is stoic but positive it speaks not just young people but also average people lives in general They always worry and whine about news, politics, society, etc. Yet they cannot do anything about it
My biggest regrets at over 60 is spending over two decades in the retail industry and earning almost nothing. I started very late in life to have money and now at my age I'm starting to enjoy life. My biggest accomplishments is not having kids and I am indebted to no one
Perfect! As I could confirm several times in my life and in others testimonials, fear is the most crippling emotion we can have. Every time it manifests, we should be aware of it and analyze more carefully the situation before dropping an opportunity to do something.
Easy message, do things, even when you don't feel like it, because when you do things differently, things change. One step at a time even if you need to rest at each step you make. Thank you!
I am in tears watching this. I am 28 years old already. I am so afraid of people that make me unable to get a job and missed alot of opportunities. I am so worried about my future. I am so desperate to find a cure about my fear of people.
Sweetheart I am 41. It's okay, it will be okay. Everything will be okay in the end. Be gentle with yourself and don't put so much pressure on yourself. From where I stand, you are still *only* 28. Life is not easy in one's twenties. Life is not a race. Go at your own pace. Like I said, be kind to yourself and be gentle with yourself. And seek help and support. You don't have to do this all alone.
We have to accept the fact ...that our mind is continuously engaged in either regretting the past or worrying about the future !! Only when we are in the act of doing something really engaging in the present moment . that we let go of these worries and regrets temporarily!
I spent so much time thinking what am I going to lead myself into the future. Thinking all the time fearing for the outcome but endup wasting my time and not able to go anywhere. I never felt so clear about that until I saw this video. The heavy feeling that lingers in my head for so long has gone away now. Thank you for the kind words and wisdom.
I think I’m going to watch more of these types of videos. I need to know when can I stop thinking I will live forever. That stuff you feel in your 20’s and 30’s and then 40 rolls around and the fear starts to set in. Now I’m stuck trying to find my way to being ... an older man ... and peacefully reconcile it.
When you're scared of something think of the opposite scenario like I am scared of death but when I imagine myself living forever I feel eternally grateful for death because I don't want to experience grief over and over again and i don't want to see this beautiful world destroyed by people try it maybe it helps
Yes, it's all very well all these old folk saying, 'should have been braver and worried less' etc but, at the end of the day, the decisions we made back then happened for good reason. In fact, one could go further still, by saying that those so called 'decisions' of ours weren't really ours at all! In the grand scheme of things, it was simply what happened. All by itself.
Thank you for being here! We've just released part 5 of this series you should check it out ua-cam.com/video/2CuA82qWNEE/v-deo.html - we'd love to hear your feedback❤️
I needed to watch this video. I’ve never been scared to seize an opportunity before - but I was debating taking the safer route this time. Thanks for the reminder.
My advice to all the young people of the world is to sit on the sofa, watch a movie, your phone or play a video game. All day. Knowing you do the opposite of what you are adviced, I hope you chase after Happiness, Health, Love, your concept of Success, and don’t forget to call your parents once in awhile.
So many of these videos offer the advice of "don't be afraid"...or something to that statement. As one who has spent years fearing and having things like panic attacks when put into situations, i.e. public speaking, etc., I never hear HOW to "not be afraid". It's absolutely good advice but it's only half. Fear is an emotion so strong you can't just turn it off at will. I wish it were so but I think it's why many people hold back. The fear just takes over. Oh the things one could do if fear didn't play a part.
One time I've learnt from the video is don't waste your energy in something you can't change it, and they are right 👍 I was worried so much about things and overthinking 😅 too but you're so right life is short and instead of living it in fear and sadness won't change the situation 🤜🤛
I'm glad that i'v learned this at my 30s, by myself ❤ and i would say the same to my 20s version. But learning and putting it into practice is a whole different level. Now I'm learning how to have the courage to overcome fear, because it's no longer hiding in the shadows of my mind.
"Don't be scared" is the main message here. I'm 2 years from being an adult currently, but there are many things I'm scared of. I'm scared to go to the gym, I'm scared to go shopping, I'm scared to go to places I want. All of them contrast with my ultimate dreams, which are to get fit, buy things I want and will cherish, and travel to places I've saved on my phone. I know my old self will say the same thing as all these people, but I don't know, fear is something I feel like I can't win against.
Maybe you don't need to see it as opponent - lessen what it means to you. it's allowed to be there we don't need to eradicate it we just need to acknowledge that it's not the voice of reason we think it is ❤️
“stop worrying about things you can't change“ how do i know i can't change something if i don't try? Sometimes you have to try something very often before you know you can't change it. Sometimes you just have to make your own experiences and mistakes.
This video came out 8 months and I’m just now seeing this and I love this so much ❤ I’ve struggled with anxiety since I was 16 (I’m 21) after my grandpa passed away. It went away for a couple years from the age 17-19 and came back suddenly last year. Three months ago I witnessed something quite traumatizing and my anxiety has been through the roof every day ever since, it’s never been this bad before. It at one point got so bad that I couldn’t even function properly or leave anywhere. It’s gotten better since that point because I can leave the house again and do tasks around the house, but it’s still an everyday struggle that I try to get through. Watching this video helps so much! I always think “When I’m older I don’t want to remember my twenties as a bad time and a time that I didn’t live it up. I wanna remember my twenties being good, I don’t want to regret things.” The things these wonderful people said in the video I always try to remind myself. Thank you for posting this video ❤❤
Huge hugs. I've been there too, for much of my life. Things are a bit better for me now though. I absolutely know first hand just how crippling severe anxiety can be. It can feel absolutely horrendous at times. And no, you can't simply shake it off. My number one advice is be very kind to yourself and be gentle with yourself. Things can get better. I hope you are seeking help and support.
I've tried the "just go for it" one several times. Yeah..there are consequences. There are reasons why people are so cautions. It's only when not in the situation anymore that it becomes easy to say "don't be so afraid"
Yeah I asked my friend out with the mentality of “I can’t change our future if I don’t go for it” and got rejected with her cutting me out of her life right afterwards. So I guess don’t always just go for it
@@ChadHellgadowell you did nothing wrong in asking, it's actually good that you asked, taking risks is part of life, not everything goes your way. At least you know, the reason older people say they wish they were less afraid of taking risks is because now they'll never know, taking opportunities is always the way to go, if it doesn't work out it's fine, it's not the end of the world that something doesn't work out.
@@ryanname2503 🤭🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣, OF COURSE there are consequences! How the hell do you learn without consequences? What you SHOULD do is learn a different approach that won't produce the same results, not give up and say; "🤤we...wElL... tHeRE iS ReASoN wHy pEOplE aRE sO cAuTIoNS🤤" and, "🤤🤤iT eASy tO sAy🤤" That's how you remain a failure in life. The more "consequences" you face the better you become if you actually go home and think about what to change. It should take you HOURS thinking about how you can do things differently for better results, and even after that you will still fail again next time. With persistence you will start to understand things differently and that's how improvement will take place.
Did we watch the same video? 🤔 I find this a bit weird because, while wanting not to lose time you might need to over busy yourself with many stuff and miss to find what you really like and who you really are. Sometimes it might be natural to be paralyzed in a cocoon with lack of movement.
Opportunities doesn't come to you, we've to find them out... And in persuit of that we get anxious, worried, and sometimes sceptical of ourselves in the process.... Its like a vicious cycle....so just be glad that whatever has happened was for good.
Gotta say though... The people, who had no fear and always did the things they might regret might be dead and not able to answer questions anymore. So being afraid is not completely useless. But still very good advice to not be afraid so much.
Stay strong, and make the right decisions, i am 70 went to africa as a teacher missionary when i was 30, got into a relation with rough parts now i am stuck with alot in my old age, i really need someone to talk to
They all said the same thing. I would say to myself "start loving yourself now" either the rest of interviewed people had been more lucky and loved themselves from the early age, or they totally overlooked that important thing. I did not love myself, that was my biggest problem.
Ive always strived to be an entrepreneur since I was younger, but I've always let fear of the outcome, or fear of judgement from the people around me get to me. I also have lacked confidence that I am capable of being successful this way. But this video has helped me realize I need to quit being fearful and just take the chance while I am young and without children. Quit listening to people who haven't found success and build your own!
Get comfortable being uncomfortable, and when you feel uncomfortable, do something with that anxious energy, hit the gym, or go do some work, or handle a task you’ve been putting off. All the best ❤
What advice I would give my younger self. Be brave about life. Don't let anyone, or any religion make you fear life. Don't waste time. It all passes by too quickly. Live each day as if it were your last. It very well could be. Love, whenever you get the chance. Tell someone each day that you love them. Don't hold grudges or hate. Let go of ANYTHING , or ANYONE that hinders who you are. Accept that God made you and HE knows what HE'S done. Take care of yourself. There is NO guarantee that you will live a long, healthy life. Be respectful of the older generation. They've already been through what you could never even perceive. Pay it forward. Anything. Thank God every day FOR HIS LOVE AND PROTECTION IN YOUR LIFE. By the way........I'm 78.
0:06 Don't leave the same moment twice 1st :in your mind when you imagine what will happen 2nd : when the actual moment happened Just let it come then see what you can do
I'll give you some life advice. You will be old in the blink of and eye, enjoy your youth. You will lose everyone you love, enjoy your family while their here. It will be hard to keep making money after 40, and your body will start to decay. You will die in the blink of an eye, and there's nothing that will stop it. " Time is precious, yes it's true. A wasted moment never returns to you. A passing day spent leisurely, turns into years it seems. And all the years that have passed you by can never be redeemed ". I wrote those words about twenty three years ago at 24. Man are those words the truest words I've ever read.
It's about a balance. I'm a person that's still relatively young and have already done many things, took every opportunity I had, met tens of thousands of people. I don't have any regrets of things I haven't done but let me tell you I sure do have plenty of regrets of things I shouldn't have done. The wise words I would say that you won't hear often is that: 1. When you pursue one opportunity you are choosing that as your energy/time investment therefore you let go of other parallel opportunities. 2. You can try to pursue several opportunities at once but then you can end up being a master of none. 3. There are a lot of things to try but some things can put you on a behavioral path that's detrimental and it can come from such a subtle angle you won't even notice until too late. 4. Actions have consequences. 5. You think you control your life, but you really don't. You're a byproduct of your genetics, epigenetics, environment, upbringing, parental social status, cultural and legal obligations. The choices you actually have are very little. This is not a pessimistic statement, but an advisory statement encouraging you to use your choices wisely.
Hello dear teacher Thank you so much for your interesting interviews with old people, i do appreciate your job,i wish you peace and happness under the sky of prosperity. let me to say something in this domain : By time indeed mankind is in loss except those who have believed and done righteous deeds and adviced each other to patience and truth.

Great video
Thank you ❤️
That first woman spoke to me.
Thank you for sharing this, you have our full support - you are on the journey ❤️
It's like trying to explain why I prefer drugs and booze to someone who never tried them before.
the best way to get over it is to just jump right in
it's so terrifying but it's rewarding, and is the most immediate fix
i say this as someone with severe anxiety who ran away from so many opportunities for over a decade
the next best way is small exposures. have a goal in mind of where you want to be (don't be afraid to think big). then, go towards that goal in small increments.
ex: you want to become a famous musician. instead of booking your first show immediately and playing on stage, sing a song into your phone microphone, and try showing it to a friend, or one random person online.
Getting old is underrated. Theres so much to learn and experience in this world, and almost all of it makes you a better person each day
Love this❤️
Getting Old is also an incredibly huge blessing. Not everybody is lucky enough to live to be in their late 60s, 70s & 80s despite all the medical discoveries.

That sounds like a good plan. In the past two years, working closely with a financial market specialist, I've built a six-figure diversified stock portfolio. Now, I aim to diversify even more this year.
Talking about a financial market specialist, do you consider anyone worthy of recommendations? I have about 100k to test the waters now that large cap stocks are at a discount... Thanks

Amazing! Thank you for being here❤️
I think one thing I learned from my cancer social worker is to stop being in a rush to be where you're not able to be at. There's no race. Especially in this era where everything's so fast paced, I feel so behind where all my friends and peers are successful in marriage, career, or just living their life. Stop comparing yourself with others. Only compare yourself on how far you've grown. 2 steps forward, 1 step back.
'Comparison is the thief of joy' - just live life ❤️

Thank you!
This is such an enlightening perspective, thank you so much for sharing ♥️
I love this!! Mind sharing what those careers were? I’m in my late 30s worried about changing careers but I may have to. I love hearing other stories about this.
That old lady saying "stop worrying things that you can't change but improve your own life instead" is stoic but positive it speaks not just young people but also average people lives in general
They always worry and whine about news, politics, society, etc. Yet they cannot do anything about it
My biggest regrets at over 60 is spending over two decades in the retail industry and earning almost nothing. I started very late in life to have money and now at my age I'm starting to enjoy life. My biggest accomplishments is not having kids and I am indebted to no one
not having kids is sometimes regrets
Perfect! As I could confirm several times in my life and in others testimonials, fear is the most crippling emotion we can have. Every time it manifests, we should be aware of it and analyze more carefully the situation before dropping an opportunity to do something.
I've just cried as soon as I listened to the phrase don't be fraid. I might need someone who talks to me like this. Thank you
Thank you for being here ❤️
Easy message, do things, even when you don't feel like it, because when you do things differently, things change. One step at a time even if you need to rest at each step you make. Thank you!
I am in tears watching this. I am 28 years old already. I am so afraid of people that make me unable to get a job and missed alot of opportunities. I am so worried about my future. I am so desperate to find a cure about my fear of people.

Hey we both have same age.. 1994?
I recommend therapy and/or healing any traumas. Therapy is one of the best things anyone can do to change or get more clarity, in my opinion
Live in the moment as much as possible!

Never regret a decision you took in the past! At the time it was the best decision you could take!
This❤️
Yes, it's all very well all these old folk saying, 'should have been braver and worried less' etc but, at the end of the day, the decisions we made back then happened for good reason. In fact, one could go further still, by saying that those so called 'decisions' of ours weren't really ours at all! In the grand scheme of things, it was simply what happened. All by itself.
I learned that in high school

So many of these videos offer the advice of "don't be afraid"...or something to that statement. As one who has spent years fearing and having things like panic attacks when put into situations, i.e. public speaking, etc., I never hear HOW to "not be afraid". It's absolutely good advice but it's only half. Fear is an emotion so strong you can't just turn it off at will. I wish it were so but I think it's why many people hold back. The fear just takes over. Oh the things one could do if fear didn't play a part.
I really, really needed this. Thanks.
We are so glad to hear this! Thank you for being here❤️
One time I've learnt from the video is don't waste your energy in something you can't change it, and they are right 👍 I was worried so much about things and overthinking 😅 too but you're so right life is short and instead of living it in fear and sadness won't change the situation 🤜🤛
I loved watching this. ❤

I needed this advise. I have been struggling with this thing since last 2/3 years.. I sucks all my energy 😓😓
I'm glad that i'v learned this at my 30s, by myself ❤ and i would say the same to my 20s version. But learning and putting it into practice is a whole different level. Now I'm learning how to have the courage to overcome fear, because it's no longer hiding in the shadows of my mind.
♥️

I absolutely know first hand just how crippling severe anxiety can be. It can feel absolutely horrendous at times. And no, you can't simply shake it off. My number one advice is be very kind to yourself and be gentle with yourself. Things can get better. I hope you are seeking help and support.

I'm in the 40s now😂 I'm still young at heart and not afraid to say yes to uncertain things in the future 😂❤
There have been times when I've said yes, and didn't think about it too much. It ALWAYS ended disastrously.
I've tried the "just go for it" one several times. Yeah..there are consequences. There are reasons why people are so cautions. It's only when not in the situation anymore that it becomes easy to say "don't be so afraid"
Not all the time , its the saying "maybe". Sometime some people are lucky enough to have opportunites that work form them.
@@ryanname2503 🤭🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣, OF COURSE there are consequences! How the hell do you learn without consequences? What you SHOULD do is learn a different approach that won't produce the same results, not give up and say;
"🤤we...wElL... tHeRE iS ReASoN wHy pEOplE aRE sO cAuTIoNS🤤"
and, "🤤🤤iT eASy tO sAy🤤"
That's how you remain a failure in life.
The more "consequences" you face the better you become if you actually go home and think about what to change. It should take you HOURS thinking about how you can do things differently for better results, and even after that you will still fail again next time. With persistence you will start to understand things differently and that's how improvement will take place.

The wise words I would say that you won't hear often is that:
