The last R-Type game was released in the early 1990s in arcades and around 1994 on SNES... arguably some game devs had staff who were either inspired or were creative people who came from Irem but due to company politics or issues went to others during the time of transition so the NeoGeo MVS arcade hardware made perfect sense in that regard despite being 1990 technology using highly advanced documentation tools and highly optimized coding disciplines not possible with run of the mill "easy to dev for" tools and hardware... which is just marketing. This game is more than impressive compared to R-Type since back then NO ONE else was trying to do this game... note too that it was only a FEW game studios in Japan who were making fully 3d space shooters too as Nintendo held the lead with Star Fox 64 while Konami's arcade 3d game never got out of the arcades and its highly costly hardware.
@@Aurawing Excuse me IDIOT but up to the point of the SNK NeoGeo games like this one showing up in arcades and for NeoGeo, any, ANY R-Type games on PlayStation were years away.
Man, that intro is spectacular, even nowadays.
I miss the arcade salons.. 😪
Teenager best times..🙌
In the timeframe it came out, the animated intro was pretty amazing.
Indeed it was
I miss shooters like this. Where it's all about navigation. None of that bullet hell suff. Nice play
There are still some like Infinos Gaiden on Steam and arcades
Epic game for 1992.
7:14 Best music of the game for me.
i never knew this was an arcade game; i rented for the SNES years ago.
robots all look like gundam counter attack
Instead of the traditional xeno variant the devs used a space jockey as the final boss, sweet!!!💯
You make this game seem easy. It is quite brutal though, especially with autofire disabled by default.
As soon as I saw the Atlus logo I had to click on the video 😮
Damn ! And not on Genesis ! This was a perfect match !
Sued by who?
Wow! Nice video. I liked of your gameplay.
Badass game!
Similar to R-type but interesting concept...
Also title screen looks very impressive.

Nothing remotely similar to rtype besides being a side scroller

4:24 SONIC BOOM!!!
How was this not on the Turbo Graf-X Duo?
This looks and sounds wayyyy better than the SNES version.
Game had very nice level design, especially at the beginning. Towards the end, I could see the developers running out of ideas and energy.
Always got to have closing doors and tight spaces.
Was this video game connected to the video game Android Assault: The Revenge Of Bari-Arm? BlaZeon looks like it takes place in the same universe.
Lol
Very cool!!
Me too i will do a video of this game ;-)
I like your channel. You got a new subscriber.
@@nosotrosloslobosestamosreg4115 thank you brother :-)

It really reminds me of Vandread
The soundfont is same as CPS1 System.
R-Type assets?
Kind of reminds me of Knights of Cydonia.
This would have made a pretty decent MegaCD port
A giant Space Jockey as the final boss?
2:35 That's Nu Gundam. They ripped off Nu Gundam.
Not
I kinda like the synt on the SNES release more though :D
Atlas is great !
When R-Type met Macross...
are you cheating right?? = 23:21 , 24:58

Gundam ?
i sense cheats here so many times he should have died but never.

Looked promising but gameplay boring😴
