@@pretzel6629 On Sega CD it would've been similar to Final Fight CD where game resolution and graphical details would've had to of been downgraded. Cosmic Cop would've been fine on the Saturn and PS1, though those systems came out 4 years after Cosmic Cop came out in arcades which is why it probably never happened. In the Hunt though was fantastic on PS1 and ran pretty good on Saturn and is a much more CPU demanding game than Cosmic Cop.
@@AL82RetrogamingLongplays In the Hunt, Cosmic Cop, Gunforce 1 & 2 and Undercover Cops all had the same artists for those Irem games. Pretty good chance too that Strictly Limited Games will be bringing all of those games to PS4/Switch in their Irem Collection releases, they've already announced Gunforce 1 and 2 for their Volume 2.
@@ashgonza92 yes, I know. I was stating that SNK borrowed a TON from Cosmic Cop in particular. Most people tend to just focus on the similarities between Last Resort and R-TYPE. I suppose I wasn't very clear with my comment, bro.
Incredible skills, that game is super hard!
love shoot'em up by irem ! this one sound good :)
Well played as usual!!!
Whoa that is freaky. I was just searching for info on Armed Police Unit Gallop when this popped up in my new videos.
This would've been killer on the Genesis or Sega CD.
definetly would not run on either of those, MAYBE sega CD but very downgraded
@@pretzel6629 That's what ports were. Cut down versions.

Cosmic Cop Longplay (Arcade) [4K]
懐かしいなあ!子供の頃、よくプレイしました。

Feels like a down to earth version of R-Type.
It's the same artist, also did metal slug and In The Hunt
Cosmic Cop to me is like if R-Type and Sonic the Hedgehog had a baby lol
Is this by the same team behind In The Hunt? Because to me the big bosses and the explosions and the shading style are a big giveaway
I think the same artists worked across those projects - it's pretty easy to see the lineage when you look at the artwork.

Nice pixel art
Last Resort? Anyone?
What I mean specifically is, I always thought Last Resort ripped off R TYPE, but I see more similarities with this. Thanks
It's Irem bro

@@retroprojections Oh alright. Last Resort looks cool. I mean look at how many Doom clones there were when it came out.
@@ashgonza92 true!
Not a single bydo in sight, thankfully.
R-11 :)

Ah, so this is where all the assets from R-Type 3 and In The Hunt went....
This game predates both.
these bosses are awful. game looks great tho
Irem ripping off their own R-Type franchise ?
You can hardly "rip" off yourself. It was done by the same team.
This is a blatant rip-off of R-Type
Yeah, from the people that made R-Type. IREM
@@AzrialAlaria They've been hijacked. This is clearly an inferior product.
