  • Hi friends, today we are making a specialty from Afghanistan called Kabuli Palaw or Qabeli Palaw. A colleague of mine showed me how to prepare this years ago and my family absolutely loves this flavorful & aromatic dish. It's a wonderful treat, and I hope you make it for yourself and/or loved ones to enjoy.
    Ingredients List:
    • 3 cups of rice
    • 1 kilogram of lamb preferred (or beef or combo as I did)
    • 250 grams of carrots
    • 250 grams of raising
    • 2 medium onion
    • 4 cloves of garlic (optional)
    • 2 1/2 Teaspoon Salt
    • 1 1/2 Teaspoon Black Pepper
    • 8-12 whole cardamon
    • 1 1/2 Teaspoon Cumin
    • 1 Tablespoon Sugar
    • Cooking Oil
    • Slivered Pistachios optional garnishment

Beard or no beard - it does not matter. You have a great personality and wonderful recipes and that is the most important. Thank you, and good health to you!

Hello! You look good with or without the beard. In any case, the important thing is that you are ok healthwise. Take good care of yourself and as your doctor said, keep on with your wonderful dishes. This afghan one looks particularly good... Thank you :)

"Hi I like your beard and I like your food but would use all lamb. I want to make this, thank you so much for sharing your recipe", says my friend. She is wondering if you make things using saffron. She says you must if you are Persian. It has been fun watching you cook so far two videos. I became interested after eating ash reshteh for dinner and lunch.

@@CookingWithYousef… Oh and one more thing my friend 😊. If you plan to do biryani with chicken, the chicken cutting is different. Smaller pieces. You can visit the following stores and ask them to cut it for you.
      - Jawadi Halal Meat Market
      - Family Meat Market
      - Kausar Halal Meat Market
      Happy Cooking 🥘
