Kabuli pulao (Qabeli Palaw) - Cooking with Yousef

- Hi friends, today we are making a specialty from Afghanistan called Kabuli Palaw or Qabeli Palaw. A colleague of mine showed me how to prepare this years ago and my family absolutely loves this flavorful & aromatic dish. It's a wonderful treat, and I hope you make it for yourself and/or loved ones to enjoy.
Ingredients List:
• 3 cups of rice
• 1 kilogram of lamb preferred (or beef or combo as I did)
• 250 grams of carrots
• 250 grams of raising
• 2 medium onion
• 4 cloves of garlic (optional)
• 2 1/2 Teaspoon Salt
• 1 1/2 Teaspoon Black Pepper
• 8-12 whole cardamon
• 1 1/2 Teaspoon Cumin
• 1 Tablespoon Sugar
• Cooking Oil
• Slivered Pistachios optional garnishment

is good about living in California like me living in north Cali by Sanfransico since i came to U.S back in early 80s i was a teenager , is alots afghan & Persian stores around , U can get all these ingredients & more.. gonna get all that over the week-end from afghan store & make it , thanks, looks yummy
