I just realized with all the things Gaijin has done to remove "death" from the game like crew knockouts or magically disappearing, the one thing that implies the crew unalived is the "Drowned" status.
Along the same lines as the BV 238 having extra crew not shown in the X-Ray, the Ki-83 also has a random dude sitting in the tail boom that isn't shown on the X-Ray. He's kinda hard to see though, but if you look through the clear parts in the tail boom while in flight, you'll see him just chillin. I assume he's meant to be a spotter or something.
5:52 It is not at random. The CV prefix is the factory designation and in-game is used for the export and prototype models that do not have Swedish military designations. What is unexplained and random is which ones get a space between CV and 90.
The reason Why it says cv 90 or strf 90 is because the strf is for the swedish army while the cv 90s are prototypes (cv90120) or export vehicles (cv9030 fin)
Fun fact: if you got stuck as open aa and notification: "Press J to leave vehicle" is shown, your crew will not be displayed and you cannot shoot in this state. However you still can move so if you by some miracle get unstuck your crew magicly reapears and you can play as usual. One time on Tunisia i drove my ZiS-12 94km into rocks and got stuck. Tiger saw me shot 4 bullets from his km, saw not "Hit" indicators nor he saw my crew so he driven off. Fool. I got unstuck and scored 2/3 kills untill he realized i was still infact alive and killed me with main cannon😂
4:34 the reasone why it has that view is because it was in the Mad Thunder April Fools event where the modified version had the same driver view. Basically its the same vehicle.
3:54 i dunno if it's still a feature, but in the past if you managed to land on enemy airfields/carriers (without getting shot by the OP airfield AAA), it would eject you from the game as if you got killed with a death message "crew surrendered" and a kill feed message "[player name] has surrendered to the enemy" (or something along those lines)
1:30 A few days ago, I was playing the closed beta 4 for aircraft in WTM and was flying an I-15. I was dogfighting a Heinkel 51 when I accidentally hit it. Despite the collision, there was no damage. I was able to RKO the Heinkel and even got the kill.
As an Italian, I can tell you that they probably asked the guy cast as the commander to make that voice because it sounds completely unnatural, forced and comical
Also, it's not just that the swing wing x-ray isn't updating. That's the actual position of the wings, they don't move with the plane. It's why sometimes you'll take the wing off when flying too close to something, the hitbox doesn't match the visual position of the wings
An actually useful fact: you can actually sink a Sherman to almost it's turret and look like you've drowned on some matches. Makes for a pretty good ambush tactic. I did it with the 105 Sherman and got 6 kills before they realized that I wasn't actually a dead tank.
To make the UCAV test flights/previews easier, add them to your wishlist after the first time. You can access your wishlist in game in the menu and preview from there.
6:45 Swing wing collisions also don't change dynamically. You can visually be completely fine while flying at low altitude and then boom, no more plane. Honestly surprised by how uncontroversial this is, this is a pretty big nerf.
Ive personally never seen someone other than me do it, but you can angle the crocodile just right to where you can hit your own track with the flamethrower directly and fully engulf your tank in fire, not just the wheels like when you run over it. Oh and you have to actually be moving forward.
I think the difference between "stridsfordon 90" and "combat vehicle 90" is that the ones with "stridsfordon" in their names are made for Swedish service while the CVs are for export, so it's not exactly random.
Another useless fact: The Pz III B and E have a double machine gun set-up, in the turret, that could be aimed by the loader in RL. The loader had an auxilery turret traverse on his side and the machine guns could be unlocked from the the mountings and aimed vertical, independant from the gun. The idea was that the loader could target low flying aircraft that way. The only WT related fact is that in-game the two machine guns are being reloaded at the same speed as a single machine gun :3
5:53 I think I can actually explain about the swedishs LT:s. Strf 9040 is the official name for the CV90s that are (/have been) in active duty in the Swedish armed forces. Since Sweden only bought the 9040 and it's AA counterpart (of the ones that are ingame) they get their swedish designation inagme while the rest use their international names. I don't know if it's intended by Gaijin, but it's definitely a correlation.
It would be so cool if the additional crew on the BV could switch the dead pilot after he gets shot by the enemies. Of course there should be a little cooldown before you can control your plane once more just like in ground battles.
5:53 The names are not random. Stridsfordon notes vehicles adopted by the Swedish Military, whereas Combat Vehicle notes vehicles made by BAE Systems that were either proposed to the Swedish Military and not adopted, or are operated by a different nation entirely
the cv90s having different names is because the stridsfordon is the swedish military designation, the ones with cv90 as their name are either not operated by sweden (cv9030fin and cv9035) or vehicles that never entered service (cv90105/120)
anyone else noticed that flamethrowers dont stick to vehicles like they used to? now it only sticks to tracks and the flames just float mid air. They dont instakill open tops anymore either.
The shooting your own bombs tech isn't COMPLETELY useless. There's a guy on UA-cam who got some really funny air-to-air kills with their Pe-8 that way. Turns out that airbursting that giant dingus bunker buster liquifies planes!
all I wish it would be broken as hell but all I wish is if helis had the ability to use tow ropes it'd be OP if used properly but how fun would it be to drop a weisel right behind an entire group of light tanks
Idk if you know this, but if you range find the windmills on Poland your commander will call it out as it were a tank. (the windmills are tanks in disguise)
2:09 most stuff like airfields and bases have ground under them in order to not look too out of place (floating or being under the ground) check CDK and you'll get it
A random useless WT fact of my own: Crew members (in all vehicles) don't die, they only get knocked unconscious. With that bit of knowledge it makes WT feel a little bit like TF2 (if you know tf2 lore) or some kind of simulated war game (which to be fair, would explain some things)
The reason why the position of the swing wing doesnt update in xray view is because the hitbox of these planes are always at full spread due to "game engine limitation"
That doesn’t make sense. Tanks can rotate their turrets and landing gears can be retracted, so why would it be an engine limitation? It’s the same when they said the TURM III can’t be stabilized in all three axis but somehow tanks can play low rider with their tank hulls. It’s all just sounds like: We don’t want to programm it to work. A game engine is nothing more than a framework that provides functions that programmer use for faster development instead of doing everything from scratch. And since the engine is developed by Gaijin it can not have limitations that can’t be changed.
Damn, that is indeed useless
Wait naaaah that trick for getting onto the artic ship would be useful eventually

In Gaijin's other game, Enlisted, there is a random wagon wheel on top of a saloon in one of the Pacific maps.
I noticed that the text on the left side of the cockpit in the ho229 is all in comic sans, only on the left though
That's pretty funny lol, thanks for letting me know

alternatively you can also juggle them
I let out an audible "yay" when I saw this in my notification feed. What can I say, I like these types of WT videos. (also, wonderful music choices)

9:30 a similar thing occurs in the map poland where street signs are in cyrylic while the whole polish lanuage is in a slightly modyfied latin

The map sweden has so many eastern european buildings that it never feels like sweden lmao.
Could you do updatet versions for the nation guides? Would be very helpful
Planned for the near future
The cv is just the export name for the strv, for example the STRF9040 is used by sweden but the CV9030fin is used by finish
the cv90s having different names is because the stridsfordon is the swedish military designation, the ones with cv90 as their name are either not operated by sweden (cv9030fin and cv9035) or vehicles that never entered service (cv90105/120)
