For just a moment, I thought you were going to say Hasbro had repainted Earthrise Oppy into Thunderclash. In which case I would scream in base animal rage and throw money at them. Also, it's nice to have a short, sweet review of this guy with a good camera so I can see him in HD from all angles. I got Machine Wars Optimus at a flea market once. That's as close as I'm getting.
Got this big bastard for I wanna say my 6th birthday and instantly declared him to be Optimus Prime's boss, and as far as I'm concerned that's an indisputable fact. All the gold plastic is intact on mine, but I lost the damn back-flap that hides his head in truck mode.
Im so used to IDW Thunderclash that everytime I see a G1 toy review, Im waiting for the part where he combines with the trailer into a more impressive bot.
I'm saying what we're all thinking...When the f*** are we getting a modern Thunderclash? This guy is begging for a modern version. I need a white, gold, turquoise, hot pink and ferrari red truck-former in my life and its got to be Thunders!
PotP Orion/Optimus would be a good mold to bring back this lad. The truck would transform into Thunderclash and after combining him with the trailer we would get a Hyperdrive robot.
Thunder Clash, Black Zarak, Skyquake and UW Motormaster are the figures that I wish that they were not breakable. Oh well, being sexy comes at a price, I guess.
This guy is maybe my holy grail figure. But lord, when I dug out all my figures recently two of them were showing the old gold plastic syndrome. Slingshot lost a tail, Beast Wars Grimlock has some cracked peg holes. Still, if I saw a Thunderclash in person and he was in one piece I'd grab it right away. Just sheer ostentatious glory that guy is. Would totally go for a modern figure of him too. It's time Hasbro got into bringing back the post G1 cartoon figures. I leapt on that G2 Megatron when they did that.
Have you been paying attention the last 3 years? The first wave of Legacy United coming up next year literally doesn't even have a single G1 character in it.
Say i got a question but would you ever review machine wars (G3) optimus prime? He's a repaint and new head mold of thunderclash Side note: he's from machine wars too (G3)
I don’t think I’ve ever seen the back end of Thunderclash if I’m honest. I’ve also never had any gold plastic figures, do they feel any different apart from the fragility?
I have G1 Pyro. He feels great, honestly. All his other plastic is splendid. It's just the knowledge that his waist and forearms are gold and could break at any time without warning. Gold plastic tends to be "Everything's fine here, boss!" until it suddenly isn't. Beast Wars Mutants Soundwave, on the other hand, I got about for transformations out of him before the jaw broke off. That was bad engineering though, as way too much pressure was put on it. G2 Electro is the worst. I got one in a box lot, attempted to transform it once to sell it, and naw. That was like trying to transform a shortbread cookie.
@@AlexReynard Yeah, I agree with that. The gold plastic figures feel absolutely normal until suddenly you notice they've dissolved into crumbs due to a passing breeze. RIP BW Neo Randy. You were too beautiful to transform more than twice, apparently.
The sub-line is called the Turbomasters and their aesthetic is EXTREMELY G2, but they all have the G1 Autobot symbol on them. I think they might have been the last things to come out under Generation 1, and they weren't even properly released in America.
I just about screamed when you dropped the box down the stairs lmao
Hollywood magic!
Plot twist: actually it was G2 Electro in the box.
how do i keep seeing you under almost every tf comment section lmao
@@ratfarmer1 The human adores transformers.

I’d rather have a commander so I can have the huge missile filled base trailer
This actually made me double check my machine wars optimus trailer. I had no idea that tires weren't rubber! Weird.
Top 10 boys ever he's so epic

I probably would have preferred that tbh
Y'ALL SEEN FANS HOBBY LIGHTNING EAGLE THOUGH!?
I have no idea how you ended up in my recommendeds....but I’m not complaining either, cause Transformers. Great review!
OOOOH THE GOLD PLASTIC MAKES IT FRAGILE! DONT TOUCH IT!
This guy always looked super cool in photos, but the more and more I learn about him...
Yeah, he’s still cool.

It has become
_Transformers:_ *YOU ARE NOW FLYING THE UNFRIENDLY SKIES*

We do got one.....a third party MP G3 optimus prime but he isn't out yet
Considering his new role in the Wreckers that might change
2:15 master level trolling
I actually forgot about this until I googled transformers 90s toys. What a memory.
That intern’s name?
Bob Budiansky.
Wasn't he taken offline by a cosmically-powered Starscream?
I need a Chug interpretation of this dude so badly
The end of the video had me running to HasbroPulse for the repaint. Sadly there isn’t one :(
THERE IS! GO NOW!
This figure looks like so much fun.
It really is!
2:34, you're really tempting fate with that stunt? Yowza.
3:35, YES!
3:57, such a crazy concept.

I could! Your videos really fun
Gavin really is the kinda man who would get his BC 1994 G2 Breakdown and chuck it off a cliff
Thunder clash could self destruct at any time!
Good

I would not mind the Gold Plastic Syndrome if Thunder Clash didn’t look so damn sexy.
In the States, they released that Toy as Machine Wars Optimus Prime. I had it. They removed about 50% of the cool features though.
Was there even a US release of Thunderclash? I'm pretty sure all we got was the much lower-key repaint as (ofc) yet another Optimus Prime.
this video gave me deep anxiety. congrats.
3:57 Noooooooo!
SIR! Please be careful! Please
I hope they reissue this guy one day, with the GPS solved. Or maybe someone could make replacement parts... Hmm...

He’s from g2 I think
