I got my TE01 about 2 days ago. It is amazing and I'm very happy with the purchase. However, I did have a transformation issue with the head panel. It looks like the factory assembled the face in the wrong orientation and when transforming to truck mode it was very difficult to close the panel 10:40 in fact it didn't fit in the two little tabs. I remove the face/head (not the neck) and put it in the opposite orientation and the problem was fixed. Not sure if anyone else is having similar issues but I just wanted to give you my 2 cents.
I know this is super late, but I just got mine yesterday and I think I ran into the same issue. The panel under the head which should be rotated during transformation is on a very small rotation joint that also happens to be a screw! So when I rotated mine, it came slightly undone and therefore off angle. My fix was to rotate it the other direction (clockwise/counterclockwise, etc) and it was straight again.

Reflecting on the short stint I had with toy engineering back in college, the transformation on this guy is honestly genius and results in two incredibly clean looking modes. Seriously the lack of paint really helps with getting rid of those panel lines, and the whole thing basically turns inside out similar to dinobot.

MP44 could’ve been this flat however they felt the need to add that talking feature which took up a bunch of space (which also contributed to the transformation being more complex).
Jokes aside, this G1 Optimus is my favorite model, since it isn’t that expensive, and has one of the most clean robot and vehicle modes in the market, since what makes G1 a G1 it’s their clean looks and chunkiness. There is basically a line from 1-10 in which one is full Micheal Bay and 10 is full G1. MP-44 was a 7 while this model was a 9. Actually, G1 models that look like MP-10 I consider them Travis Knight universe (watch the Cybertron battle scene of Bumblebee [2018], you’ll get what I mean)

Jokes aside, this G1 Optimus is my favorite model, since it isn’t that expensive, and has one of the most clean robot and vehicle modes in the market, since what makes G1 a G1 it’s their clean looks and chunkiness.
There is basically a line from 1-10 in which one is full Micheal Bay and 10 is full G1. MP-44 was a 7 while this model was a 9.
Actually, G1 models that look like MP-10 I consider them Travis Knight universe (watch the Cybertron battle scene of Bumblebee [2018], you’ll get what I mean)
