    To get cake batter evenly into multiple pans - before you begin, weigh your mixing bowl, write it down. When you've made your batter, re-weigh it and divide by three, put your cake pans on your scale one at a time, tare, weigh a 3rd of the batter, etc., and it is SIMPLE this way!
    Going to be making this for my son's 13th birthday, it looks amazing!!! Thank you so much.

    I made this and it came out amazing!!!!!!! Thank you. I did everything exact and it came out moist and delish. I would like to make it into a sheet cake…. I think this will work well for a 9x13 pan. I’ll keep you guys posted

      Thanks for the feedback, i'll be trying this as a sheet cake for square slices topped with Chocolatey Rich Smooth butter cream with a nice hint of Coffee or Cookies and Cream butter cream.

    LOVED this recipe so much, I made it AGAIN. I actually got to eat it this time, lol😂 SIDE NOTE: They DO BAKE UP pretty level, no trimming needed😁

    It looks good ,can we make it n bundt pan? what would be temperature?baking time? And size of bundt pan? And what alternate we can use of cream.cheeze frosting as not not big fan of cream cheeze....🙂Plzz let me know want to make it n bundt pan as pound cake..thanks

      It should work in a bundt pan. The temperature would remain the same but I'm not sure of a bake time. You can use whatever frosting you'd like. I have a whole bunch on my channel/website. :)

      @@SugarSpunRun made your oreo cake yesterday ,n bundt pan, it too almost 50 to 55 mints to bake ,turned out great 👍, but few mistakes I made abt icing can't use any butter icing as it melted but will use the glaze frosting next time, plus will be using Greek yogurt instead of sour cream as I didn't have it I used whipping cream +vinegar and it was acidi, so would be making with yogurt the texture would be more good with these changes....rest the recipe is perfect thanks alot...💕💕💕💕

      If using whole milk instead of heavy cream I would probably use a little bit less to start since it’s a little bit thinner. 😊

    If you have only one tin, can you bake one after the other till you get the 3 layers or the mixture will spoil?

      They should be ok to bake one after the other. Just make sure the pan you are putting the batter in isn’t really hot. 😊

      2% milk is going to be the best substitute for whole milk. It could potentially make the cake slightly dry but I think you'll be ok to use it. :)

      I honestly don't know how that would work as a substitute. I did try this with milk and buttermilk as well and the results with the sour cream were just much better. You can make it in 6 inch pans, but your bake time will change a little bit. :)

      If your pan is big enough to fit all of the batter you can cook it in one pan. The oven temperature will remain the same. 😊

    I’m going to make this for my sons birthday this weekend. I’m wondering if I can add some crunch to the cake by adding crushed Oreos between the cake layers and frosting. Also we love your ermine frosting so I’m thinking of substituting that but adding some cream cheese to it. What do you think?

      You could definitely add some crushed up cookies in between the layers. I'm not sure how adding cream cheese in with the ermine frosting will go. I haven't tried it but it could work. :)

      I do not, but you could reduce the recipe to your needs. Make sure to reduce everything proportionally.

      Unfortunately, I don’t recommend it because people have reported having mixed results with carton egg whites. Sometimes they work but other times they just won’t whip into a meringue properly so to be safe I recommend against it.

      For the cake you will just want to reduce the salt by a scant 1/4 teaspoon and you can just omit it in the icing. ☺️
