Thank you!! I always try to give credit where credit is due lol. I'm really glad you've liked the videos! I really try to be positive and uplifting in all my interactions so I'm happy that you can feel that through the videos. I appreciate the feedback!
Man keep these videos coming in. I’ve essentially copied your build. The only thing I did different was I bought the mesh rear window. From softopper instead of the tent.
That's perfect! That's what I would do too if I had the 6.5 ft bed 👍🏼 how good is the mesh rear window from sofTopper? I've been curious to hear from someone who has one
Thanks man!! I have to tell you I've watched all your videos. You were the whole inspiration behind me buying the sofTopper and camping out of it. You're a stud, thanks for making such great videos!
I haven't! I have the vinyl rear window so you're not supposed to drive with the sides up and the rear closed...but if you have the mesh rear window I bet you could! That would be perfect for the dogs
Yeah it definitely makes a difference! I've found that having a couple spots open to the air really lets the breeze flow through. Some guys have just thrown the net around the topper and that's worked well for them
Appreciate the video on the DIY mesh window inserts. I’m curious after watching a few more of your videos on this SofTopper in your opinion does the inside of the truck bed stay dry while driving at freeway speeds? I noticed the aluminum runners that go the length of the truck bed where the top snaps to. Do those act as water deflectors if ya will to keep water out or from getting in or have you felt the need to add a seal or a DIY trick to keep water out? I know I’m asking a lot of questions and I do appreciate you giving me the time to answer them. As I mentioned before in a previous comment I’m about to purchase this top for my Ram Dually and would love to hear real world experiences over anything else. ✌🏽
No problem at all! I love the questions. The aluminum runners have weather seal underneath them so I don't get any water back there at all. I put a little extra weather seal by the front window flap but that's all that I've had to do to keep it water proof. It'll look sweet on your ram dually!
@@TregsTravelsThanks for this info. I just ordered a SofTopper with no side windows, tinted rear window, third brake light and a DIY doggy door option for the front so my wife’s dog, ok our dog, can get back there when he starts to get outa hand up front. 😜 You think a pool noodle or something of that nature will fit in between the top and the cab of the truck? I’m thinking about wind noise or the possibility of the top hitting the cab. Does your tip come close ot hit the cab when underway?
@@HUMINT1congrats on the order! That's going to be a sweet setup! You could probably fit a pool noodle in there if you needed to but I haven't had any issue with mine rubbing on the cap. There's about 2" from the front of the topper to my rear light on my cab so as long as I have the straps and fasteners tight on the top it doesn't move at all!
Brilliant! I'll need to do this to mine, I love it. great job my friend!
That'll make a huge difference for you camping in AZ!! Thanks man!
@@TregsTravels you bet and thank you!
I was just watching your other video, super happy to see you were able to come up with an mesh idea ! Awesome man, thank you !
Thanks! It's worked pretty well for me! Softopper should just sell mesh panels, that would be the best!
Great idea and execution! Shout out to the MIL for the assist. Just got my softopper and I’ve been really enjoying your videos and positive vibe!

Nice tip! Man they need to black out that aluminum hardware. Makes the topper look like an old lawn chair folded up.
I completely agree! I use the boot cover when it's folded up but if they blacked out the aluminum it would look so much cleaner 👌🏻

Thanks my dude! Just trying to follow in your footsteps and find my niche in the content world

Awesome! It's worked really well for me. Hope it helps!
Excellent job. Thank you. I’ll give it a shot.
Thanks! Let me know how it goes!
I'm really liking this.
Thanks! It's worked really well!
this is great. fantastic job i've been wanting to do something like this.
Thanks! I hope the video helped. It definitely makes a big difference to get that cross breeze under the topper

I just ordered one with the mesh rear window for my 2500.
@@TregsTravelsi still haven’t had a chance to use it yet.
Very resourceful!!!
Thank you! It worked just liked I had hoped
Love this idea been watching your videos to get ideas hopefully getting a soft topper real soon
Awesome! You won't regret it 👍

@TregsTravels that's great to hear buddy! That's what I'm on here for and keep doing what you're doing!! Love the setup
@@DylanDelong thanks bro! I really appreciate it!!
Have you driven with the front partially open and the mesh? Loving this idea for my dogs.

What about just getting the replacement mesh flap for the back? Do you think that would be enough?
Yeah it definitely makes a difference! I've found that having a couple spots open to the air really lets the breeze flow through. Some guys have just thrown the net around the topper and that's worked well for them
hey, sorry if you brought this up in the video & i missed it, but can you still fold yours up with the netting? does it rip?
I've left it in when I folded the topper but it kind of got tangled on itself so now I just take it off
Appreciate the video on the DIY mesh window inserts.

Good job. Do you spray insect repellent on the screens too?
I haven't had to yet but that's a great idea!
