Amazing video. It clearly shows that your sewing machine foot is not in the down position. Which probably made it harder to control the fabric and may have contributed to the broken needle. But I just started looking at a truck tent and found your idea to be pure inspiration. Thanks.
great little setup pro tip for sewing if you wanted to add a zipper on it. To save you needles that foot should drop down on the machine to remove the gap and also self feed the fabric
So its kind of hard to get in and out of but there are some gaps in the sides that I usually crawl in and out of! Ive been using it for the past year and its definitely one of the pain points but not that bad. If I was going to make it again I would cut the tarp so there is more allowance in the sides to crawl in easier
