back when i was in like elementary school, there was a kid in a kindergarten class who legit just had a pencil box full of copic markers and he just used them like crayola markers and now i look back and feel almost sad for that kid because he will never know what the joy of a new pack of Crayola markers is like.
+Strawberuu Right?!.. That's what I thought he was gonna say. Like... Crayola's cool, but come on, you feel sorry for the kid for having Copics, instead?! DX
AwesomeAna, what are you implying? Copies aren't cheap. Age doesn't say you'd have copics. This comment is like those "im watching this and im retarded for saying my age has to do something with this." Lol jk this is ok ha.
i work a full time job and a part time job, far from rich. i get winsor and newton because they are not as expensive as copics. plus i coupon. alot of my prismacolors where gifts. and my teacher gave me the sharpies. thats why i have to mix them. if i had money i would be using copic markers all the time but thats a little out of my budget.
Today in art class I got to use pro markers for the first time. Because it was just art I had regular printer paper, but I found that I was able to blend and colour in large areas without it staining the table. It was just an all round pleasant experience
Internet, You exaggerated way too much. Also where I live they're only 50 cents different. Not much, and as a *hobbyist* I would pay for the copics, I'm not planning to become an artist. Don't get me wrong but the winsor and newton markers are expensive since they don't sell refills, but again I would pay for it. High quality pigments I will pay for it.
Where I live they're almost the same price. I don't know where the fuck you live where there's that much of a difference between them. Also lol, all the INTENSE Copic hate in this particular comment thread. I have both and I honestly prefer the Copics. There's just so many more colours, and I'm always stressed about the Winsor Newtons running out because I'll have to rebuy the entire marker set (I don't think the store I buy them from even has them individually). Copics are so much less stressful if you use markers all the time.
If you have experience with these markers, let me know your thoughts! Also, don't forget to enter my art supply giveaway: ua-cam.com/video/zZ_RESDnrdA/v-deo.html
Waffle Gaming so these are cheaper? I never looked at markers or there prices, not even crayola. Also if you know some okay cheap colored pencils that are slightly better then crayola please tell me. My fancy colored pencils are trash compared to my crayola.
+Cynthia Brogan I was reading the comments and I saw yours. Have you tried prismacolor colored pencils? They're usually kind of expensive but if you live in the US, walmart carries a set of 24 premier colored pencils for about 20 dollars. They're soft and blend really well.
Regarding the older Promarkers/Flexmarkers from Letraset, here's a few things to watch out for: - nibs are really easily damaged since they are so soft, so watch out for that while putting on caps! - the ends of the brush nibs also get dull quite quickly, but if you take really good care of them they will last you longer - the ink also gets dried out very quickly (most of mine dried out after only 10 proper uses, not that I left them without caps for too long or that I overused them, but they just didn't last as much as i expected) - when mixing two colors (such us going over a color with another color) from different color families, the color in-between turns grainy and grayish. which is probably the effect you are not looking for. this never happened to me with other alcohol based markers. idk about copics but this bothers me A LOT when coloring - nibs exhaust easily in general
I just got some of the brush markers for my birthday and I did notice that the colour lays down a LOT more evenly than copics do and I love that so much they're so good
Now I'm debating on buying Winsor & Newton markers over copics... I've started a copic collection (about 25) and now I feel like my money needs to be redirected LOL :(
+Nerd Nation Yeah, that's true. I think I would have to buy some and test them vs. copics to see if I like them more. I really like copics, I'm still practicing with them, but they're great. (I normally get the copic packs of markers when I have 50% off deals :D)
+Tanner C Mind you the support for Copic Markers is far superior and you can refill them along with the fact that there is more than double the amount of colours for the Copics over the Winsor & Newton.
+Tanner C I use promarkers once and had compared to copics like Baylee said they do have a lot of pigment but I do like copics more because with a single refill you can refill them 15-20 times so it becomes extremely cheap after awhile, and I assume you will use them quite a lot, but again personal preference.
In my experience being taught in school in how to use copic markers, my teacher discourages us to use too many varying colors for mid tones as well as discouraging us to use too many copics when doing a variety of shading for shadows. You can create different tones with one marker by shading one layer over another and seeing that the promarkers have a 'stronger' outcome in terms of ink, I think that the method I mentioned may or may not be effective when using those markers. But then again, I can't really know for certain since I don't own a promarker so yeah. Its a good informative video.
Lendsi if you can afford a mac, you can probably afford any wacom intuos and bamboo up to cintiq, I think. The cheapest is the intuos draw, in case you wonder.
I bought the skin tone pack of these markers to try out because I am making a video all about Copic dupes, and these are very good dupes. Best of the ones I tried. I do think you save more money in the long run with copics but these are awesome too! Great review Baylee!! :)
+gaminglover M it might be a bad thing that she doesn't care. Her mistakes are reoccurring even though people in the comments give her advice. She thinks it's "her style" but no matter what style you draw you still have to have the basics
definitely buying these instead of copics. i currently own only one (lol) because i bought it for an art project, and it turned out AMAZING. 10/10, definitely reccomend
Suomi Jonne I agree :) I really think the Copics are way to expensive in my country, pro markers are cheap and easier to get for me. In my opinion, they are better than Copics. Yet, you can make great art with Crayola! So, it isn't about the expense of the markers.
Suomi Jonne i own 74 promarkers and only got 12 brushmarkers so far, honestly the promarkers are better in my opinion however the brushmarkers make blending easier
I LOVE my Winsor and Newton markers. I recently got 27 brush, and 3 pro for $1.24 each. Hobby Lobby near me was getting rid of them as a whole and so I kinda went a little crazy. lol
I might get brush markers soon 😱😂 They might be my first alcohol based markers, I didn't even know you could get markers that are not water based until I started watching Baylee Jae. Thanks Baylee! 😜
The silver marker you use at 15:12 with the conical tip... Do you know if that comes in a plain black? I do caricatures and conical tips I find to be the best for that sort of thing, but difficult to find. But when you pulled the cap off at 1:46 my eyes widened and to took an extra interest. :) LOL Great video btw.
+Philip Chandler I don't know if it comes in black. I wasn't able to find any information about the neon and metallic markers, so they're a mystery to me!
I just bought these today, and was searching for a video about them to see if they're good. Yours popped up first, and I'm glad because when it comes to art supplies I think I trust you the most. Thanks!
MY NAME IS WILL, i am 11 and love drawing and use PROMARKERS by Windsor & Newton/LETRASET, I have ALWAYS found that PROMARKERS are really reliable! When i go to my local craft store i always test out the different markers on the test paper. I always find that PROMARKERS are always vibrant and have a really clean colour, i now have about 200 PROMARKERS (from past years when there where more exclusive and different colours) When i try COPIC I STRUGGLE to keep the colours from speckling and staying separate (they are great for blending but cant stay clean and apart when needed). Although i like the COPICS soft nibs i think the ink isnt right for me. I think PROMARKERS are a great investment! They do have flaws though... They CAN NOT BE REFILLED, and have hard nibs so it can be tricky to get a brush look! COPICS ALSO HAVE UPS AND DOWNS THOUGH! I PREFER PROMARKERS! But because of your collection of COPICS i think you prefer COPIC MARKERS. I would be grateful if you could reply some feed back on some more pros and cons about the two and maybe make another BETTER THAN COPICS VIDEO? I was also wondering if u could do some FLEX MARKER VIDEOS (LIKE SPEED DRAWS OR SOMETHING) THANK YOU and if you could tell me more pros and cons in a reply, that would be great! BTW YOUR AMAZING AND SUPER DRAWER. 😀❤️✍🏻
(Darn, another 11-year old artist ;3;) I can't get any copics or any expensive markers because they're rather pricey (where I am) and I'm too shy to ask my parents for anything. So, for the time being, I'm just stuck with a pack of 12-color Crayolas left from kindergarten. XD I'm thinking about asking for more advanced markers (copics, basically just better than 12-pack Crayolas) but I really don't know where to start. Any suggestions?
Sketch it Studios I love copics a lot more since Winsor and newton markers look cheaply made... also the point of an alcohol based marker is to blend... so as you said how sometimes you want the color separate but if you do, regular markers are right for you; it saves a lot more money. Also I love copics because of how they label both sides with the label to tell which color it is faster, instead of fumbling around for the colors... I don't really like the label for the winsor and newton markers as well since they are stickers, unlike copics, which are labels directly printed on the marker. this is just an opinion so don't get offended. :)
Yeah that's true, I bought some Touch markers as I wasn't experienced with alcohol-based markers. It was around £20 for 60 markers. When it came some of the markers were running out of ink, but I personally think I was just a bit unlucky because a lot of UA-camrs have made videos based around these markers and they seem to have next to no problems with them. I'm thinking of upgrading some of my Touch markers to Promarkers mainly because I think I've got the hang of it but they are a bit expensive!
Yay I'm a digital artist too, but I still do a lot of traditional art. I am one who prefers Winsor markers instead of copic. I just find that they work a whole lot better
Try the new BLick ones.. word on the street is they bust the copics for 1/3 the price!! Bye bye Copic!!! Oh.. and most prefer firmer and agree they are "easier to use".. :-)
WTFPikaFacts Intersting.. I've heard the opposite.. for the price difference they are just as good as the Copics and they are refillable and the tips are replaceable.. where the higher priced Pro Markers are very expensive.
Sarah Heaton Reeves well I have copics, prismacolors, and one promarker and I personally think that out of those of he prismacolor is the best, but eh! It's my opinion lol
Sarah Heaton Reeves bullshit. It's all branding and people feeling like they're all fancy and cool because they have copics. Promarkers and touch markers are just as good if not better.
Baylee have you ever used prismacolor scholar markers? Im planning to get them and i want to know if they are good quality or not to see if i should change my mind? Please tell me im looking for good cheaper markers for art Thanks!~
Just if anyone was wondering in the U.K. a set or pack costs around £10-£15 usually including a black and occasionally a blender. A singular pen costs around £2.50
I have asked for the brush markers for this Christmas and I’m super stoked I have watched 50 videos on this and I’m really pleased with what people say about them and yes I agree need to be refillable and more colour options but love the way they work and great for beginners like me ❤️🇬🇧
Haven't used these markers. Haven't drawn or colored in quite a while. I like your videos cause they make me feel like i should start again :) Personally, i like the lighter spots from the copics, in my opinon (personally) it gives a bit more dimension :)
I saw some promarkers at a store and I was wondering if I should get them or not. What type of paper would work for them? Cause I have a small sketchbook and when I used marker it didn't blend well at all and it went through the other side.
canson mixed media sketchbooks are most artists pick for an affordable sketchbook that has minimal bleedthrough, and is good for watercolor too (thats what i use mine for, lol)
I have 6 brushmarkers, they were on clearance at Hobby Lobby for 50 cents each ! They work and blend amazingly. Unfortunately, there was only 6 brushmarkers but still grateful for the 6 I got ☝🏽❤️
Definitely prefer Copics, solely because the design is soooo much nicer. I just hate the black, round, barrel with the stickers.. Not pleasing to the eye at all.
Yeah i've never used either but I prefer Copics because brush nib + refillable. I think being able to refill markers is a really big deal, i don't want to buy a whole other marker, that would suck.
I just started with Markers, so I go Touch LIIT Markers. I didn't realize they didn't have a brush too until after I bought them online (I saw your video on copic alternatives and thought all touchs were the same 😂) the brush ones are more expensive anyway so I think it was an ok that I got them
Okay after digging around these ARE the markers I was thinking of (I have some old old old Letrasets) and I have been looking for these forever. They're amazing in color and i 10000% love them more than copic, they just lack the vast colors of copic. I picked up the greys and skin tones and I'm seeing how they hold up to the older ones, so far so good.
There is no Hobby Lobbies or anything like that near me and ya goyle is impatient and can’t wait for things to come in. An arts, crafts and home store is selling these markers so glad these are good. Only have printer paper so hoping they have the Winsor and Newton paper
i just ordered the full set of Brush Promarkers. the color range isn't as wide, but they're really affordable and i like them a lot even when compared to my copics.
How do I understand the promarker colour codes? It doesn't look like the copic colour code, and I want to understand it so that I can figure out what colours to use in conjunction with each other, and what colours to use with other copics to blend together.
Thanks, this video was very helpful! The promarkers are actually half the price of what copic ciao costs here in Sweden. I'm a beginner, but from your video, I've decided on the promarkers (brush). The promarkers are 3,19USD each for a 12-pack while the copic ciao are 5,69USD each for a 12-pack (if you're curious, the copic sketch are 8,54USD each in a 12 pack, pretty expensive!). Anyway, very informative video, thanks a lot :)
I am trying to decide what to get: Copics or Promarkers. Which one? My friend has copics but they run out quickly, so I am leaning towards Promarkers. I just can't decide which one I like better.
CaAngel Sister What I'm doing is I'm going from cheaper to more expensive. If you're planning on doing art markers in the long run then start out with cheaper alternatives and work your way up. If you don't like them then you didn't waste 10000000 DOLLARS ON MARKERS COPIC! Anyways I suggest you buy a six pack of promarkers/brushmarkers (whichever you prefer) and a six pack of copics sketch/ciao and compare them yourself. Whichever feels more comfortable to you is the one you should probably get and compare them yourself because if you like promarkers better but your friends pretty much force you to get copics you might be uncomfortable with them and not like them at all. So really it's just your own personal opinion. Sorry I that didn't help :/
CaAngel Sister If you can afford copics, I recommend copics, copics can be re-filled, and the refills only cost 1-3 more dollars that the actual marker, and the refills refill the marker up to 7 times. If you can't afford copics, I think promarkers are really good too! :)
The main difference I find between the two is that promarkers don't layer or blend like copics do. Lighter promarkers tend to push any darker colour away which causes a sort of repelling effect that you get usually using a colourless blender to to push colours around.
I just also discovered these markers like 2 wks ago .. got a set of 6 brush tips for $24.99 at Michaels and I really like them ..my copic set of 6 runs for $54.99 at Michael's so I was def happy about that . You are so right about the brush nibs you can feel a difference! Def need to get use to it.. and do agree the ink settles into the paper much better ! for the price ..I think I might switch! Esp since copic refills seem to be hard to find
Dear Sis.. Can i ask u ? So which is the best ? Im doing some whistlist for my birthday ... My bday on 23th January 2017 and i already collect my money on next week to but some Markers .. So which prefer u think? Last quest: if bursh marker used in moleskine paper book *Sketch is it penetrate to moleskine? Because i already brought some Copics marker *Sketches in moleskine and its penetrate to my Moleskine Book
Chizuyyu If you know that you will use markers and that you really like markers, buy either of them! I personally prefer copic, of you have the money for copics buy them! If you don't have the money, you can go with promarkers 👍👍
Well i would say it depends on the paper and your budget, moleskine paper i would say copic because they will be more vibrant and the brush is smoother but for like normal printer paper and xpress blending card i would say brushmarker cuz it would be more vibrant
blazy_chan do you live in new hampshire? cuz there is a hobby lobby there and idk if there good or not... ive heard they put there religion in your face so idk
MaraYoworld O-0 no. I live closer to the eastern shore ( im not telling u where i live but i live near places like, pennysylvania, maryland, newjersey, etc. ) but all hobbys lobbys are christian, but i doubt they would od that
Is dickblick really reliable? As in a "Not a scam website " reliable? I asked this question because one person could have their good view points on it while others would say otherwise.
I use the brushmarkers and I LOVE them they are super easy to cope with (pun intended) but I do need some practice because I’ve always use my prisma pencils but I think they got the job done a lot better when I switched
i have owned these markers for awhile and they are amazing they havent ran out of ink! they are amazing!!!!!!!! they are my go to markers for sure! the whole top popping off hasnt happened to me yet so i dont think that happens very often!
I have 7 promarkers and use them wisely, as I'm a young artist I always feel like I'm doing it wrong but I try to do my best with the markers, I have the small point the one like a highlighter tip, and since my family is right on money I can't get copics considering they were $8 dollars each. But I honestly love these markers.
Soo... I can't decide, which one are better? Promarkers or Copics? Copics have better design and they are refillable but I have the filling that the promarkers ink is better, and you now, they're cheaper xD Sorry for my english I'm not a native speaker ;D
I would say the promarker, it's cheaper and if you don't enjoy it very much at least you didn't spend as much money, also it depends on what you draw, people is probably a definite pro market but possibly Coptic for animals and scenery
no one knows....... i think that if you add a lot of detail to your drawings and shade you might wanna go with copics, becuz there are more colors to choose from.
I like the promarkers/brushmarkers better. Also (by your name I assume you live in Europe) we can get them for pretty good deals (I am living in Germany).
i like copics more. they last a long time. i found the first set of copics i bought lasted 5 years before i couldnt refill them anymore. promarkers will dry faster
I've used promarkers for years, and I love them. I've only had one marker where the nib came off like that, so I wouldn't say it's usual, and I could change it for a new one at the store. I prefer the tiny nib and if I need to color in a wide area, I use the chisel nib. I love that you can layer the colors a LOT and give it a darker and richer look. There are a few things I don't like, like I've noticed the chisel nib gives out a lot more ink. Before I changed to the non bleed paper the ink would go WAY outside the lines. Also if I color bigger areas with my tiny bullet nib, if I don't color fast enough so that the ink is still a little wet, it creates these lines where it has dried and it just isn't pretty. This for some reason, is worse with the chisel nib. I don't really know why, but it gives me those dry lines way easier.
Befotr i made my own money all wished for as a child where art supplies for birthday and christmas :) and now i just buy 2-3 every month because they are very expensive :) she has said a lot of times that she got her collection over years and not all at once..
I bought some of those and I'm in love with them. I have promarkers and brush markers but my brushmarkers are only grays. I like how the yellow marker doesn't get muddy. Cause I had some copics and the yellow one got muddy like super fast
you can replace the promarker nibs. I've tried and replacement is easier with a tug from blunt scissors which won't cut through the nib. as long as you replace them with the same nib as before (if it breaks or snaps for whatever reason) then they'll work fine :)
I wish that art companies would just SEND me random expansive art supplies
Hayley _doodles I think everyone in these comments PRAYS for that at night XD
Anna Art one day😂😅😧☺
Anna Art h..

+Strawberuu Right?!.. That's what I thought he was gonna say. Like... Crayola's cool, but come on, you feel sorry for the kid for having Copics, instead?! DX
I did too and he would only share them with people that could actually draw😂
AwesomeAna, what are you implying? Copies aren't cheap. Age doesn't say you'd have copics. This comment is like those "im watching this and im retarded for saying my age has to do something with this." Lol jk this is ok ha.
Better then copics?? Well if it costs less and works better I'm alllllllllll for it.
Clock Work they are not refillable and have way less colors. The copics are smoother.
Sergei gubars Copic Sketch have 200+ and Ciao have 180.
I have had some for about 4 months now and nearly 13 of my 30 markers are dead. Wouldn't recommend Brushmarkers or promarkers, for that matter.
Sparkling AngelYT I've had my Brushmarkers for nearly over a year and they are completely fine?
Clock Work than
i use sharpies, copics, promarkers and primsacolors. when you get a good shade going, you can mix them all together beautifully.
are u rich lol
i work a full time job and a part time job, far from rich. i get winsor and newton because they are not as expensive as copics. plus i coupon. alot of my prismacolors where gifts. and my teacher gave me the sharpies. thats why i have to mix them. if i had money i would be using copic markers all the time but thats a little out of my budget.
And what's really nice is that no color is EXACTLY the same color/shade so the more types you use the better selection you have.
Im planning on getting Copics and Promarkers. Thanks for the tip!
Pfft yea right.
Today in art class I got to use pro markers for the first time. Because it was just art I had regular printer paper, but I found that I was able to blend and colour in large areas without it staining the table. It was just an all round pleasant experience
my promarkers goes trought the paper
I do like the way you aren't biased like many other youtubers are. I use pro markers since copics are 10 times more expensive where I live.

Faith Ozabor Ozabor well i have 3 copic ciao and at my store the winsor and newton markers are more expensive than the copic ciao by over a dollar
@iTheGeek the copic paper isn't good for copics. Lol.
Where I live they're almost the same price. I don't know where the fuck you live where there's that much of a difference between them.

+Baylee Jae I saw that kitty at 18:35 :P you sneaky sneaky artist haha ;)
I see Copic has some serious competition! i like them much better than the Copics.
promarkers are good for beginners. It's good but it doesn't have refills, and more practical. But blending and color-wise, I prefer copics.
copics are the apple of the marker world
So true
Oh shi
So true this deserves more likes lol
Ghost Galaxy t
Michael Eccles, But not a waste of money.

One thing to keep in mind if you will be using them a lot, is that copics are refillable

I have never seen a copic marker here in london but i see these promarkers everywhere
If u want copics even thiugh promarkers are also great u can find them at most hobby crafts or some whsmith
I’ve seen a pack of skin tone copics in whsmith
"When you do the math" but I don't know how to do the math.......... *cries*
I feel your pain😂
This Curly Plays 😂😂😂so relatable
Total price divided by the number of markers in the set = price per marker. You can use a calculator.
Same tho
Regarding the older Promarkers/Flexmarkers from Letraset, here's a few things to watch out for:

Now I'm debating on buying Winsor & Newton markers over copics... I've started a copic collection (about 25) and now I feel like my money needs to be redirected LOL :(
Well its just personal preference and also how much money you got
+Nerd Nation Yeah, that's true. I think I would have to buy some and test them vs. copics to see if I like them more. I really like copics, I'm still practicing with them, but they're great. (I normally get the copic packs of markers when I have 50% off deals :D)
+Tanner C Mind you the support for Copic Markers is far superior and you can refill them along with the fact that there is more than double the amount of colours for the Copics over the Winsor & Newton.
ArtisticGarmacon Yeah, I really like Copic, I think I might buy a couple Winsor & Newton, but probably stick with Copic.
+Tanner C I use promarkers once and had compared to copics like Baylee said they do have a lot of pigment but I do like copics more because with a single refill you can refill them 15-20 times so it becomes extremely cheap after awhile, and I assume you will use them quite a lot, but again personal preference.

Oh, thanks.
*I just got extremely expensive Copic markers for Christmas.*
Wow you mustve been very good to get copics for christmas hope you be a good artist
Geez, all this stuff is so expensive... this is why I prefer digital art :D
Tragik same, but I cannot afford a tablet. Though I can afford a mac. Parents...
Lendsi a Big Mac?
Lendsi if you can afford a mac, you can probably afford any wacom intuos and bamboo up to cintiq, I think. The cheapest is the intuos draw, in case you wonder.
I'm SUPER excited because my parents are getting me a wacom for Christmas! My old one ( not a wacom ) broke within months..
Yep. Microsoft Paint bro is where it is at!!
16:35 , no I have used the Promarkers and the Brush markers but no that hasn't happened to me
I bought the skin tone pack of these markers to try out because I am making a video all about Copic dupes, and these are very good dupes.

10/10, definitely reccomend
i've had promarkers for a bit over a year now, and i still LOVE them
i personally think that the promarkers are the best.., its just my opinion ;D
MeloniAnanas Man same :) I acc wish that companies sent me art stuff like this cus I'm broke af
MeloniAnanas Man do you mean that you like them better than the brush marker or do you mean better than copics?
Vejekka GD omg yes I love pro markers (and the bullet nub)
Suomi Jonne I agree :) I really think the Copics are way to expensive in my country, pro markers are cheap and easier to get for me. In my opinion, they are better than Copics. Yet, you can make great art with Crayola! So, it isn't about the expense of the markers.
Suomi Jonne i own 74 promarkers and only got 12 brushmarkers so far, honestly the promarkers are better in my opinion however the brushmarkers make blending easier
Whoa. You just blew my mind with the promarker vs copic. Wow!
I was also wondering if u could do some FLEX MARKER VIDEOS (LIKE SPEED DRAWS OR SOMETHING)
THANK YOU and if you could tell me more pros and cons in a reply, that would be great!
BTW YOUR AMAZING AND SUPER DRAWER. 😀❤️✍🏻
(Darn, another 11-year old artist ;3;)
I can't get any copics or any expensive markers because they're rather pricey (where I am) and I'm too shy to ask my parents for anything. So, for the time being, I'm just stuck with a pack of 12-color Crayolas left from kindergarten. XD
I'm thinking about asking for more advanced markers (copics, basically just better than 12-pack Crayolas) but I really don't know where to start.
Sketch it Studios what an essay.
Sketch it Studios Yo!!! It's always nice finding other artists of the same age (well, technically I'm 12 now aha)!
It's May 2016 and i am patiently waiting for a paper types video. (WHY BAYLS WHY)
+Tildy's Pet Shops samesamesammeee
ua-cam.com/video/_wy-A4ij06E/v-deo.html She published this a month after your comment.
+pesto12601 I can't try every marker out there, but I'm definitely curious about the Blick markers! I'd like to try those out someday.
I've tried them. they're good actually. BUT I think copics are better by far
WTFPikaFacts
Intersting.. I've heard the opposite.. for the price difference they are just as good as the Copics and they are refillable and the tips are replaceable.. where the higher priced Pro Markers are very expensive.
Baylee Jae
I hear ya.. perhaps they will just send you a free set to review if you ask...
+pesto12601 i have a few there really nice :)
Because you said you don't like using chisel tips, you could make a challenge about it! 💜💜
YAYYY MY SIS IS GETTING THE PASTEL MARKER SET FOR MY BIRTHDAY TOMORROW
Anita Draws i have them they are really nice !
I'm thinking of getting copic's, should I get these instead??
There are cheaper than copics and If you never used some markers then you could practice with them^^
Katy Berdova I agree with you
Get copics. Best markers by far
Please tell me im looking for good cheaper markers for art
Thanks!~
+Tiffany Kie I didn't even know they had markers in the Scholar line. I know nothing about them.
+Tiffany Kie Those are water-based. Are you looking for those or alcohol based markers?
either ones im just looking for better markers
Tiffany Kie The regular prismacolor markers are really good. I would suggest those.
nerdieone1 Okay thank you!
Just if anyone was wondering in the U.K. a set or pack costs around £10-£15 usually including a black and occasionally a blender. A singular pen costs around £2.50
When is she going to do a paper video? It's already April. Does that still count as early 2016?
That's what i was wondering
I think she's doing it someday in August.
She said it would be next Friday's video this week in the comment on one of her latest videos
+Nillo yeah I just saw it
+Amy Play all good then :)
I really want to have some of those markers... but I'm too poor to buy some.. :(
Me too🙁
+Kenji Lite i feel you! but you can always ask for them during xmas or your birthday or something similar!
It's too expensive for them tho... they won't gift me that...
+Kenji Lite If you're old enough you can try to get a job so you can buy yourself art supplies :)
Bubble Gun But I can't wait! I need to improve my drawings...
I have asked for the brush markers for this Christmas and I’m super stoked I have watched 50 videos on this and I’m really pleased with what people say about them and yes I agree need to be refillable and more colour options but love the way they work and great for beginners like me ❤️🇬🇧
Omg yasssss! These are the ones they sell where I live and I was looking for a review, but forgot their brand name! Thanks for the video
could you make a print out page of that girl I really like it.
"HEY LEONARD DEVINCI, CAN I PHOTOCOPY YOUR MONALISA, IT'S REALLY PRETTY" Be respectful, don't ask for free copies of people's art.
Badkorra Cosplay It's not. First of all it's not colored and she has her signature. Anyway I was just asking .
***** Didn't know she had one, thanks.
A M A Y A She does coloring pages so it's not like, and she has her signature on it so :/
I definitely like using the pro marker brushes, I use both copic and pro markers but I definitely like these.
I have the old Promarkers and it does have the colour code
+Huwis they are, they are called Letraset Promarkers so they are the old ones and they have the colour code
Sketching.libster its older than the letraset promarkers, the logo is differenet
Haven't used these markers. Haven't drawn or colored in quite a while. I like your videos cause they make me feel like i should start again :)
Personally, i like the lighter spots from the copics, in my opinon (personally) it gives a bit more dimension :)
"BeAutiFul MeTalLic MaRkErs!" 😂 15:33
7:54 ... are you still planning a video on paper types. I'd be really curious to see that. :)
I saw some promarkers at a store and I was wondering if I should get them or not. What type of paper would work for them? Cause I have a small sketchbook and when I used marker it didn't blend well at all and it went through the other side.
Manisha Samra marker paper
Monse Araujo thanks
Manisha Samra mixed media
NikkiPanda okay thanks :)
canson mixed media sketchbooks are most artists pick for an affordable sketchbook that has minimal bleedthrough, and is good for watercolor too (thats what i use mine for, lol)
Me too. I've never used either of them but from videos I've seen I definitely prefer Copics.
Yeah i've never used either but I prefer Copics because brush nib + refillable. I think being able to refill markers is a really big deal, i don't want to buy a whole other marker, that would suck.
Same I've use the Prisma and it just felt so... Meh... The ink was nice tho.
+FenixDragon43 I agree, I've been working with copies lately and I love them, nothing can replace them in my opinion
+FenixDragon43 copics*
Do the promarkers have a brush tip? I don't understand the difference between promarkers and brushmarkers :(
Swerilly The Promarkers have a chisel and a bullet tip. The Brushmarkers have a brush tip and a chisel tip. :)
I just bought promarkers! thanks btw💕
Swerilly 😉❤
Swerilly pro markers have a bullet tip and the brush markers have a brush tip
There is no Hobby Lobbies or anything like that near me and ya goyle is impatient and can’t wait for things to come in.
An arts, crafts and home store is selling these markers so glad these are good. Only have printer paper so hoping they have the Winsor and Newton paper
Vanilla Gacha just get marker pad or mixed media
i just ordered the full set of Brush Promarkers. the color range isn't as wide, but they're really affordable and i like them a lot even when compared to my copics.
The only reasons I buy Copic other than Pro Markers is because every copic marker has a brush tip, and you can change tips and refill markers easily.
itsmyayall literally the normal copics haven’t got a brush tip
Copic classics don’t have a brush nib
@@joshuafelten6967 Come on she obviously means the ones now.
@@rachaeli5741 she meant copic sketch.
How do I understand the promarker colour codes? It doesn't look like the copic colour code, and I want to understand it so that I can figure out what colours to use in conjunction with each other, and what colours to use with other copics to blend together.
We’ve had these amazing Windsor and Newton pens for a very long time here in the uk, I used them in 2005
Sow brushmarker's are better than copic's?
I just got copics, and very expensive, was that a waste of money of buying copic instead of these, because I'm worried plz reply 😯😯😯
Bumple I kindly recommend u to buy touch five it's 168 colors and it so cheap I only have the 80 but it's Kelly nice
Bumple Copics Are in no way a waste of money there Are amazing and many artist Use them there Are only a little expensive xD
Bumple it's fine, if you can afford copics get copics
Aimi Mizuki They are a waste , They aren't worth the price
Bumple a lot of people buy Copic. you can replace the ink and nubs, and it some in a lot of colours. it's not a complete waste of money.
I just bought these today without watching any reviews, I am so happy I did.
In Ireland these markets are €3.00
Hi could you send me like 100
yeah theyre rlly cheap in ireland, only spent like 20 euros for eight . and i got the pastel set for like 15 euro jjhj
@@holysoup2954 goddamn that's awesome :')
Copics are not available in my country but these are so i am definetely getting those for my birthday!
What country?
Thanks, this video was very helpful! The promarkers are actually half the price of what copic ciao costs here in Sweden. I'm a beginner, but from your video, I've decided on the promarkers (brush). The promarkers are 3,19USD each for a 12-pack while the copic ciao are 5,69USD each for a 12-pack (if you're curious, the copic sketch are 8,54USD each in a 12 pack, pretty expensive!). Anyway, very informative video, thanks a lot :)
Hi, where do you get your supplies from.? I also live in Sweden. I get them from thepenstore
@@alemeli Yes mostly penstore, clas ohlson have some too!
“You won’t be able to feel the friction I’m feeling”
Me - *grabs my 13 cases of w&n marker* try me
The main difference I find between the two is that promarkers don't layer or blend like copics do. Lighter promarkers tend to push any darker colour away which causes a sort of repelling effect that you get usually using a colourless blender to to push colours around.
I just got my first pro markers!!!!!!

Esp since copic refills seem to be hard to find
oh....the pastel ones >_< so pweetty
Because i already brought some Copics marker *Sketches in moleskine and its penetrate to my Moleskine Book
omg im on the 20th!! JAN BORNS RULE!!! >:D
Chizuyyu copics are way better in my opinion, I just got copics and their way better 😎😎😎
Chizuyyu If you know that you will use markers and that you really like markers, buy either of them! I personally prefer copic, of you have the money for copics buy them! If you don't have the money, you can go with promarkers 👍👍
RheDraws Ok friends,, thankyou For helping me choosing the bet one .. TYSM (Thank You So much)\
Well i would say it depends on the paper and your budget, moleskine paper i would say copic because they will be more vibrant and the brush is smoother but for like normal printer paper and xpress blending card i would say brushmarker cuz it would be more vibrant
I'm soooo. Happy I found this I was about to get promarkers but now I want the brush one
How come all the comments in your unboxing channel are disabled?
+Kayreku Too much nitpicking at how I film. Until I get my new mic and new background, I'm disabling comments.

... are you the voice for Bee in "Bee and puppycat"?
Edgar Alvarado shes an artist, shes not a voice actress
Andrea NekoChan okay...but is she? It sounds just like her ^-^
I use W&N all the time and I LOVE THEM! My friend and I compared her copic to my W&N and she really liked mine
at the hobby lobby i go to, if you buy a total of 30$ or over, you get a coupon for 50% off anything you want to buy. i have 18 of them. do the math.
blazy_chan do you live in new hampshire? cuz there is a hobby lobby there and idk if there good or not... ive heard they put there religion in your face so idk

Avery Glover Yes, it is.
Avery Glover it's incredibly reliable. Great store online if u don't feel like buying more expensive art supplies in person
It is a good website
I know because I am fortunate enough to have a blick store near by and if the store itself is reliable the online store has to be
If they have actual stores that people go to, they are most likely reliable.
I use the brushmarkers and I LOVE them they are super easy to cope with (pun intended) but I do need some practice because I’ve always use my prisma pencils but I think they got the job done a lot better when I switched
I feel so lucky. I have Pro Markers and they are actually fantastic lol
sad thing, these must be like 20 reais each here in brazil 😔
Paula Vieira oh my god, thank you for the advice!
Helena Motti yes i bout myself 2 packs of promarkers for 40 dollars/pounds but they are so worth it !😊
i have owned these markers for awhile and they are amazing they havent ran out of ink! they are amazing!!!!!!!! they are my go to markers for sure! the whole top popping off hasnt happened to me yet so i dont think that happens very often!

I would say Promaker, but I have only just tried copics 2 weeks ago. The brush makers from WindsorandNewton Are a good doop for copics
This was really helpfull. I wish you lived in Europe though, because the prices are different here
It's amazing how the flowers look so much better with promarkers
I have the 24 set you have

At least u can afford the alcohol based ones cause I can only afford water the cheep ones
+LPS FAITH AND GRACE™ sharpie isn't really made for coloring
+Our Social Day yah they bleed through paper...
*you *cheap
Sorry I had to BUT DONT USE SHARPIES!!!!!!! Use crayola they are cheaper and have lots of supplies
Befotr i made my own money all wished for as a child where art supplies for birthday and christmas :) and now i just buy 2-3 every month because they are very expensive :) she has said a lot of times that she got her collection over years and not all at once..
Crayons is honestly awful do not buy them the ARE DISGUSTING. they eat through paper, they have about twenty four colors, and do not blend at all
Why am I watching this in 2019 😂
I bought some of those and I'm in love with them. I have promarkers and brush markers but my brushmarkers are only grays. I like how the yellow marker doesn't get muddy. Cause I had some copics and the yellow one got muddy like super fast
still too expensive for me even at dickblick 😓 I wish I had a job I'm too young.
There are 144 colors available in pro and brush markers
TyTy On The Move Brushmarkers only have 72 colours but Promarkers have 148
you can replace the promarker nibs. I've tried and replacement is easier with a tug from blunt scissors which won't cut through the nib. as long as you replace them with the same nib as before (if it breaks or snaps for whatever reason) then they'll work fine :)
Omg I got that pack for £30
