keep an eye out for sales and coupons! especially for michaels :) theres usually always a 40% off one item coupon online and not too long ago ALL of their easels were 60% off, the paints were 50% off and the copics were buy one get one free :)
If you want to buy skin colours for the promarkers I can highly suggest "Ivory" and "vanilla". I've owned promarkers for a while know and they are my go to colours ^-^

Eeee excited to see the promarkers and 'brushmarkers' video! In the UK it's sooooo hard to find copic markers for a decent price, and so I've have to make do with promarkers :') Wondering if there's any major differences between promarkers and copics apart from the different nibs xD and omg those erasers are an artist's dream :0
Yeah hobbycraft has been my main source for promarkers in the past, but I live around an hour away from my nearest store and delivery has been kinda expensive for me :/

This may be random and irrelevant, but I just noticed I have a birthmark in the same exact spot as you do. On your left wrist arm whatever, But yours is way more visible. Mine kinda disappeared as I grew.
I got quite a few of those same supplies for the cheap art supply challenge a while back, those markers aren't actually half bad. As long as you switch between markers a lot instead of setting down flat color, you can get some nice shading effects with them. Also, I recommend trying out the dollar tree's brush markers as well with it. It's a set of primary colors and green I believe and it's basically a standard brush marker with a cheaper tip, but they work quite well for getting down flat color if you plan on using more marker in the challenge. Good choice not going for the intimidating 48 crayons for a dollar as well, lol, they have almost no pigment at all! It's like rubbing a candle onto paper!

I've found out that if you take all the eraser clumps then lump them together and just knead them like clay in your hands for a while then it turns into a kneaded eraser. Its really cool.
I have those cheap paintbrushes and I have to say they're pretty good. Little hairs may come out of the brush but it's not so bad Be sure to wash them before using them cause there a bit of glue on them

Happened to purchase "They Drew As They Pleased..." Disney character design history and art retro book the other day New on Amazon for an insanely low price of $12 US! Yup. You were right. Great anecdotal references and cool retro character design stuff galore. Initially thought it would be similar to the Disney "Archive Series" of art books I picked up last summer and may overlap on content, but was pleasantly surprised. It's very interesting and complementary to the Archive Series. BTW as to today, the price has dropped even "lower" to about $10.50 US on Amazon (Non really complaining, but that figures)-- highly recommended for retro Disney art fans and artists/animators. Thanks for your brief recap of the book. :)

Currys is a good site to go on to buy any art supplies because they are so cheap so just remember if need any art stuff go to currys first and then get what you can't at other stores

Best price I found for Copic Ciaos in the UK is £2.40 from Tiger Pens. They have good deals on the other ones too.

Also try the pilot eraser! It works extremely well and is designed so that the eraser shaving stick to each other.

The pilot brush pen is a fudepen (筆ペン). They are intended for Japanese calligraphy.
