I have been playing with trees with my Tombow Landscape Markers. I have had these same results. I just love the outcome. Thank you for sharing your process with me.
Thank you Colin, got some promarkers which I use for garden design rendering. Still struggeling with how best to use them -a lot of the sketches are done on overlay paper-. Your video gives a good idea of how to implement them. Will try and improve my techniques, meanwhile, would not mind to see more videos with promarker. Thanks again, Ingeborg, Netherlands.
Hi, I love alcohol markers and your video opens up new opportunities for me to use them. I loved your process and the final drawing and I hope you'll be doing other videos about alcohol markers.
a bit of a dumb question, but I just got the same paper by the company who also makes the markers and unsure which side of the paper to use? I realised one is almost like covered in a tiny layer of wax, and the other one is plain, but it is hard to tell which one is which, have to feel for the subtle waxy texture by feel, so is that the side to draw on? the colours smear, but at least I can blend the colour on it, the other side of the paper doesn't blend at all, marker strokes dry immediately
Hi Colin! Thank you for sharing this lovely sketch and how you created it. Very inspiring! Did you purchase the set of 48 or did you build your own set from groups of 12? Thanks!
I like blending promarkers too, but I've never used them like this to layer the colours. Do you have a colourless blender promarker which "tones down" the colour?
Hi Colin! I’d love to see you make another marker sketch! Thanks, Nina
I’m sure I could
@ Yay! Thanks!
Thanks!

That’s great to hear this video has been of some benefit

Hello! Thanks for watching. I’m certainly hoping to!!
I love my promarkers…I think they are wonderful to use and a great price too
I love the way you can layer them up!
Awsome thanks for sharing 👍

I would go with the side that is facing up once you lift the sheet of the front cover.. but after that whichever one works best for you!

There’s a few different sets in there, but I didn’t splash out and buy the 48 set! Thanks for watching

No, I’ve never bothered with the blender!
Kewl
They are very awkward to use for people with athritis so I have given my set of 24 away. I do not enjoy using alcohol markers.
Ok, thank you
