That’s actually the dead skin of a beetle that has molted! I used to have them in my old place and would find those fuckers everywhere. They love paper and cloth.
He's probably been there since the year 2002 when you think about it

GOD that GameCube startup gives me insane nostalgia. It has got to be my biggest nostalgia trigger, anytime I hear it I’m instantly transported back to my childhood, literally dozens of memories flood into my mind in less than a second.

Ah yes... The GameCube controller. Instead of making a special plastic piece to hold the wire so it didn't get yanked out... They used a Zip tie. Fascinating

For those wondering the little dot on the screw usually represents that is a JIS (Japanese Industry Standard) type screw.
Makes sense given that white gcn controllers were only released in jpn and you had to import them.
This man is a legend for not only repairing broken items but having fun with it as well
