- I bought this online for $40 advertising that I didn't work, most sell for a couple hundred dollars. Mrs Restoration wanted it for the kitchen so the challenge was on. Unfortunate didn't realize how much pitting was under the Chrome so I couldn't electroplated it and ended up having to powder coated but because I had used so much JB Weld, it didn't stick that well on the motor , The restoration scale of 1 to 10 its about a 7 and I enjoy the process of turning it from a display item to a usable item hope you enjoyed watching
Well, now I want a milkshake!
Great restoration 👍🏻
Haha, sorry for the milkshake craving! Maybe you can reward yourself with one after watching more of my videos. Cheers!
That arbor press is sweet, you have a really good friend!!!!!
Thank you for taking the time to watch my video and leave a comment. It means a lot to me!
I remember these from when I was young. 😊😊
Ah, the good ol' days! I remember when these were the coolest things around. Makes me feel a tad old, but hey, at least we have the memories!
Yeah, lol. I feel like I'm showing my age. Lol. But, then again, I do have a couple of great grandchildren. 👍
Great - nice to see a novel restoration & especially one giving a working device.
Thank you so much for your kind words! I'm glad you enjoyed the restoration video and seeing the device in working condition. It's always rewarding to bring new life to old things.

Another fantastic job mate. Hot flocking the powder coating worked well . Ps: I need a bigger oven too 😅👍
Thanks a ton, mate! I'm stoked that you thought the video was fantastic and that the hot flocking technique was a success. Oh, and I feel you on the bigger oven. We all need more space to work our DIY magic, right? Keep rocking it!
You seem like a very honest man richard, you are very talented as well. Keep up the good work, Im glad to be able to support you

Nice one! love the colour on this :)
Thanks a bunch! I'm really happy you like the color. It's one of my favorites too!😀
Just checked your channel, you in NZ, thought you were in Britain. I must say the milkshake machine looks more like US from diner those cheaper alternatives in New York pre 1930's.
Thanks for your feedback cheers Richard 😀
Muy bueno saludos
You have done a great work 💖💖
Thank you! Cheers!
You forgot the Horlicks Malt powder. Now it's just a strawberry milk shake.
Ah, my bad! I saw the Horlicks Malt powder supermarket . But hey, a strawberry milkshake isn't so bad either, right? Thanks for letting me know!
You're right! The worst strawberry milk shake I ever had was GREAT! Keep up the fine resto work.
Good to see it working again, but why change the color and omit the Horlick's logo? Adding your name twice is overkill.
Hey, thanks for watching and leaving a comment! We thought changing the color and adding our name because A: there was a big ugly repair to the bottom right and could not repair the enamel ,and it was done for our family and lives on our bench top ,cheers Richard
Why destroy the paint?
there was a big ugly repair to the bottom right and I could not repair the enamel ,and it was done for our family and lives on our bench top ,cheers Richard
That is fine - I was not aware of that in your video

thanks for watching😀
No chocolate malt taste better than one made in a metal cup on these machines also.
Thanks for your feedback cheers Richard 😀
Have to agree with other people, I don't like the personalisation of it.
Thanks for your feed back cheers Richard 😀
McDonalds cant pull this off.
thanks for watching😀
The only way they would allow it in the door at McDs is if it was broken.
Yeah, well, don't like the finished color. Should have left it yellow with Horlicks logo.😊
Haha, fair enough! Different strokes for different folks, right? But hey, thanks for watching and sharing your thoughts!
You do good work, but please work on your video pacing. It's getting better… But you still spend way too much time on a single process like sanding. Or the minute and a half of coating the main body. I fast forward too much in your videos which is a shame because, again, I love your work! Others may not fast forward and just quit your video which Just hurts your channel.
Just thought I would Throw it out there
Thanks for the tip
So, I wonder how many of you would be driving a "fully restored" 1968 Mustang on biased ply tires?
I'm willing to bet none.
He took a very old, vintage machine and fixed it up, and put it to use.
This isn't supposed to be a museum piece.
Geez, get a life!
Oh, I like it.
For my kitchen it would have to be red.
Just like the stove, microwave, vent a hood......
The wife (or boss lady) likes red.
And yes, you can get retro style gas stoves in red. They just come with a stupid price tag.
Thanks for watching and glad you enjoyed it and glad that you saw it was not for a museum ,but for ourselves and that's on our bench and is used regularly now,😃
Shameless name and color change. Not a true restoration.
Thank you for sharing your opinion! I understand that you may have different expectations for a restoration, but I hope you still found some value in the video.and at the end of the day its mine and now lives on my bench and has made us lots of milkshakes for the family cheers Richard
So if it was for a client who likes to collect these old gadgets and wants to restore them to look and work as close to the original as possible, I would understand them getting upset then, but in this case I don't see a problem with him changing the color or the name. It sounds like this is for personal use in the household so it's fine then. The color is a very nice red and he did a great job restoring the machine and making it work again. It would have just rusted away further otherwise. So I think he did a very good job
