  • While visiting a friend, I spotted a big Arbor Press in the back of their garage ,and knew I had to have it. I made a promise to take care of it, bring it back to working condition, and allow my friend to use it anytime they wanted with visiting rights. After sandblasting, painting, electroplating, and creating a new stand for it, the press is now fully functional and sits in the corner of my workshop and i love it

A proper restoration for a tool, you cleaned it up, repaired ,and refreshed it. Now the tool can return to the the work it was designed to do. Great job thanks for sharing.

Great job and a fantastic tool. Cleaned up and restored to working condition without making it a pretty tool that you become reluctant to use.

A stone is 14lb. We (NZ) used to use st/lb to weigh people, before we went metric

I'm not so sure that doing any kind of electrolysis in a stainless steel container is a good idea...

@@richardrestorations just as long as you are not cooking up a batch of Hexavalent Chromium and disposing of the waste as per local authority regulations...
Nice job on the arbor press, I appreciate you not slathering it it filler and keeping it honest, being able to see the quality of the casting is much more pleasing to my eye
