We believe a high contrast screen and ultra bright projector is how you get the very best video from a projector. Just a quick chat about one of our favorite combos. - Наука та технологія
I just ordered a 1007 B based on your review. I’m going from a 6050 to that. I have tons of light in my basement with 10 foot high ceilings. Will let you know when I get up how it looks. I’m getting it tomorrow thanks.
You won't look back. It's an amazing pairing. It's also in the last video we posted in the mansion.
I got my PU 1007B on SI 160. Totally blown away. I can’t believe how bright and sweet this thing is. Like you said I will never look back. Do you have any calibration settings that you could share with me? I can’t imagine it looking better!! Thanks 4 your review. That’s what made me buy it!! Blown away!! Thanks
So awesome....it's just something special. This is why I created the page. Want to help people get what they should get. I almost leave the calibration alone. Play a little with color that's it. It's a big tv....nothing sexier.
I could use some guidance on selecting a screen and projector for a new build media room. The room is not a traditional "cave" theater room. It has windows and a large sliding door - lots of natural light. I probably made a mistake by planning for a projector and screen as opposed to a extremely large tv due to the light but the room is large and a 98" tv would have felt small. I am working with a local (to my area) projector guy in trying to figure out the best solution. He said the foot candle lighting in my room is 30-31. I have no idea what that means. I was leaning towards Sony 5000 but I need lots of lumens and Sony lumens are expensive. Preference was to not spend much more than $5k on the projector. I learned about the Epson EB-PU1006 from your video. Based on your feedback, the picture with pixel shifting will give me nearly as good of a picture as the Sony. However, do you think I will be satisfied with the Epson knowing how much light I will have in the room during portions of the day? I anticipate having shades but I don't want to have to pull down the shades anytime I am watching tv. I appreciate any feedback.
Love projectors and going that way is always the win. Contact us through my site we can help and sell you the gear no tax if out of the area...and if in the area we can help even more
Great video man
Epson released
new 4K EB-PQ2000
do you know when it will hit the market
By the way you are the only one who make me look in the commercial projectors and I found my gem so thank you for all the information
I try. And I an't even see that thing..cause I'll own it...and maybe snuggle with it. lol. 10,000 lumens 4K... Can I get an Amen.

I found this video about it

Yeah Q1 2024 ...NO pricing information is released. Not accurate anyway. Epson is still working on it. They are going to send me one when they are available
I am taking a look at this projector right now because of you. I have a Epson 5050, my big question/issue is and maybe it's not possible but how can you get this to support 3D content?
I actually dont' think it does...but neither do most of the new ones even the LS12000. Dying tech...sad for those that like it.
That is my backyard!
Gorgeous
I like your straight to the point style, and I bought the EB-PU1006W. However, I am struggling trying to decide on a screen. I tried the cheap Elite Cinegrey 4D because it is AT and ALR, the screen quality is poor and because the front seating is nine feet away the holes in the screen are a huge distraction during bright content. I see two solutions use an audioweave screen or place my speakers in front of the screen. I would like to hear what you think the best solution is? I am surprised your front row of seating is ten feet from the slate screen without issues
NO cheap screens. Watch my screen video please. If you need AT..make the room dark and go white but quality like the EPV 8 series at the lowest. Severtson, Seymour excellence etc all very good but room has got to have no reflective surfaces. If money isn't the issue get the Slate AT that I own from SI
I ordered a sample of the slate 1.2 screen and what it does with black levels is amazing, however when the screen goes to white the white looks more silver and is shiny. I have no doubts this is an excellent screen, I wonder if the problem is the small screen size sample?
It's only like that if held up next to a white screen...which is the ONLY thing a white screen does well. No black, no color depth. Always give and take. My white looks great when slate is by itself. Everything else is better. All colors look better. @@kentoncornelson2323
what lens does this come with or is it possible to pick the lens when ordering ?
Doesn't come with the lens and you can choose from like 8 different ones...making it even more cool.
Would this be the way to go for a gaming focused projector?
Would work great. I love doing it
Advice here! I got my black diamond 113" screen and jvc x55 in my living room.
Bored now cuz of the low lumen output.
What do you think of buy a used Sony VPL-FHZ65 (6000) lumen. 2.500 hours on laser.
Around 1200 dollars here in Sweden.
Do you think that machine works for movie watching?
don't know that projector but 6000 lumens would be magic.
I went for it and it's magic! day and knight compared to jvc. Looks awesome on black diamond thank you for inspiration@@TheaterAdvice_FCAV
Awesome news. It's special...not what people think of...but I do.
it's funny people rag on the commercial and large venue stuff because of refresh or contrast, but a protector's job is to be bright. I use a Panasonic large venue 1080p and most people swear it's better than their 4k TV with Blu-ray and HDR stuff in person
I bet it is. People just don't get the concept. We are right...they are wrong. OH well their loss. Now...just bright on a white screen isnt tnough. But Bright on ALR..all day. Great job.
I need your advice im using now lg810 in fully controlled room with 150 inch elit screen..im thinking of upgrading my projector so my options are go with either of ls12000 or sony xw5000es and stweart screen ((or do you think elit is good im using the cine whiteuhd 1.3 g))..or keep my elit and get jvc z7 what do you think
Stewart is great. Throw the Elite away. Good projector = good screen. Still don't lie white...light controlled or not,
@HomeTheaterAdvice I'm thinking about stweart studiotek130 g4 how about the projector ls12000 or sony vw5000es
I like brighter projectors but if you must get a white screen the sony is better probably. Just have to have a super dark room or your black levels will be gray.
@HomeTheaterAdvice
Thanks appreciate your help
So the ls12000 with FireHawk 150 inch this will be the best combo better than using sony or jvc z7 and using the current elite screen as my budget is 10k
That would be a phenomenal pairing. @@Ahmedqtr1
Can this be plugged directly into a Blu-ray player or do you need to run it through a video processor?
Need sound but technically you can hook it up if you don't need sound...
i have a 150 inch .8 slate screen in my living room . i am currently using a JVC - NZ3 . would the Epson EB-PU 1006 be a improvement
Yes in that scenerio for sure...Otherwise great projector. But you're only getting 80% of the brightness of the unit in an environment that needs more light to fight ambient
thank you for your respone where is the Epson EB-pu 1006 on display at
Can i go for Epson 1007 or 1008 which one is best
Just brighter...That's all. Depends on your size of screen etc. The brighter the better really. Funny people say brightness doesn't matter and if anyone hit the lottery they'd buy a 20,000 Lumen Barco... 7000 lumens and 8500 lumens.... Just more money. The most expensive one is always better...just depends where your budget ends. I can help you though. Just reach out through my site.
Whats its native contrast? Care to do a side by side with a JVC NZ7? Curious how black it gets relative
All BS. Projectors can't have "contrat" since they cannot product black like a tv. "Dim white light" is not black. So they get the same level of non existent black. On a good screen..brightness gives you light screen gives you black. That's projector contrast. It would smoke an NZ7. But I sell both. Just IMO
@@TheaterAdvice_FCAV is that what people refer to as intrascene contrast?
Yeah whatever fancy term they want to come up with to make themselves feel better about buying a crappy white screen off Amazon to pair with their amazing projector. Perceived CR...Perceived black...but it's still not black and can't even be close on a white screen. @@Espiritiv
@@TheaterAdvice_FCAV sounds like your ultimate advice is get a gray or dark screen and add a really bright projector
Not Gray... True ALR... Firehawk from Stewart, Slate or Black Diamond from SI..or Polarstar from EPV...but yes...pretty much. Will always yield better. People walk in every day and are shocked at our projection...we turn people from wanting a tv every day..it's because we do it right and don't listen to the dummies online..that's why I got on here in the first place. @@Espiritiv
To elaborate...Gray inserts a weird color to the whites...and ever color like a tint. The ALR are optic screens.
What's the lense you have on this?
Standard. This is the model before it didn't come with one.
What’s the screen size .. I see only 16x 10 screens
In this video it's a 120". You can watch my MANY other videos to see my feelings on 16x9 vs others.
I have a screen innovations slate 160 screen forgot to throw that in
Same as I have. Awesome.
What kind of receiver is on that table??
Mcintosh MA12000
Always@@KimmoJaskari
I thought this projector is a 4K pixel shifter?
It is...and it's amazing and you can't tell. Which is my whole point.
