OK, so so much information was left out of this video. It was pathetic. Do you notice how much of the projector was showing above the screen that's because of the lack of formatting the LTV 3500 has three different wide screen formats Dolby audio and video HDRHDR 10 3-D with a glass lens that's the largest on the market, and will truly give you an awesome experience for the next 10 years. If you buy cheap, you will get cheap and it will look cheap. Anything white will be blooming so bad that it will wash out everything in the picture you can see some of that happening in this demonstration he did, this is why he did it in a very lit room because it cuts down on the blooming like anything else in life, you get what you pay for these cheap units are not a miracle cure for a big screen TV if you want the experience I'm sure you're expecting spend the money you won't be sorry get an LTV from awolvision even if it's just the 2500
I’m getting an Epson BrightLink 685Wi used tomorrow and trying to get a screen that would work. Someone is selling a fixed frame Dragonfly Ultra Black ALR. Does the ALR screen specs need to say it is for Ultra Short Throw? I can’t see on the specs anything saying UST for that screen. Any help would be appreciated. Motorized drop from the top would be ideal for me but too expensive unless you know of a cheap good one?
@@Adoula7 ALR screens are 2 types and long throw and ultra short throw.
LOt of cheap alr screens are only working with long throw and with very very narrow angle be careful what you buy. if its too cheap it is probably not gonna work ask that person their projector model

Can ust projector play 3d movie? I have a large collection of 3d blurays. I had a samsung 55 inch curved 3d tv. After 8 yr of service lightning destroyed it. Parts are not available in my country. I had to go for non 3d tv because 3d tvs are not being manufactured nowadays. My room is not big. Good for ust projector. I want to know whether ust projector can play 3d content. Many thanks in advance.

Do you think the epson ultra short throw would do a good job projecting a 10ft tall menu on a large wall in a room with 30ft ceilings? I am considering buying this unit used for an event and projecting a menu on the wall behind a bar for guests to see. The room will be fairly dark with some small ambient light. Thx!
it can only projects 90" at most it cannot focus bigger screens if you plan to project larger you got 2 option buy long throw Fulld HD for less money or go above 1000$ in second hand buy a New Ultra Short Throw maximum can throw 150"

@@roy6867 most of the old 720 ultra short throw projectors 90" level focused products but if you buy new gen 4K or full projectors like Epson LS300 I use it can deliver 120" to 135" screens

Hi, you once commented that if this projector is pull back from the wall too much then you can't get a focused image no more. I'm wondering that is it possible to use this projector for the small theatre/culture house stage backdrop so that image would be quite big? Can you demonstrate in a short video what happens if you pull this projector back from the wall lets say 1m or more. How much blur and how much detail will be missing? Because audience would be about 10 or more meters away from the stage.
You cant because arround 1 meter these devices will crate 250" blured screens
Most of the time for stages people still use long throw or create smaller stages or you get couple of projectors and create single big image wirh multiple projectors that is ideal way other option is using long throw from high point of your stage

@@myvumvuvumhurts2128 Epson is old 720P projector and only can focus up to 90" if you go above you go soft very fast. Xiaomi is telling 150" and it is sutable uıntil 120 and I would not recommend because its not bright enough. Hi ALR screen for Ultra Short Projectors you see in this video is around 1000$ it is not ideal match from price perspective to combine with second hand epson but if you have the budget why not it will be a long time investment
3LCD has color brightness equal to white brightness. DLP has color brightness about 50% of white brightness. In color rich scenes, DLP will always run out of color output and looked less vibrant. The solution is to disable the brilliant color on DLP projector which will improve color representation at the cost of brightness. DLP do have higher contrast ratio due to darker black.
well yes and no since light sources are not the same if both of them were bulb we could have compare these differences and this video was not a teknical education for people. in future videos I might create more advance tutorials for people of interested deeper knowledge but for now simple is better for most of users. Don't forget to find similar model because this is one of the bright models if you go 495 kind number brightness get lower
I see visible rainbow like effects during scene transitions. Are those called the infamous "laser speckle effect"? Do you notice them yourself?
Also, an idea: if you can provide a lux reading on your environment. That could be really helpful to grasp the environment and its light setting.
Some of the rainbow effect where I am infront of the camera is because I shoot HDR and Auto Tone but comparison scenes are always manual settings of the camera no HDR no auto tone. if you are seeing some stuff extremely high that could be the reason. Xiaomi 4K 150" is one of the cheapest UST projectors I will review that soon.
and Xiaomi fixes the frame rate to 60 and becomes choppy sometimes I will try to show in detailed review
yes, the laser distortions are part of the cheap projector. Also, the formatting is bad notice how much of the picture is above the screen it also has plastic lenses and the white blooming is so bad. You won't enjoy anything that you're doing from gaming to movie watching it doesn't support HDR Dolby or 3-Ddon't cheap. You'll be sorry even if you only spend 600 bucks I suggest an AWOL vision starting with the 2500 and more if you can afford it is the best project on the market with camera quality glass lens.
Are there any other older, refurbished models out there that are smaller than your Epson and can project a bit bigger picture close to the wall?

So in my understanding, it would be like comparing a 2012 vizio tv to a more up to date today model of that same tv. Not a huge difference... espexially for just movies and light gaming? I'm not worried about lighting.
There arr extreme details for text edges and total sharpness and you cant go bigger than 90" with epson still it is very good nut contrast is different with new models it is up to your budget and taste

Welcome to channel after I bought and used this projector like 1 year I've sold it and bought FullHD Epson LS300 and it was way better ua-cam.com/video/UjWf3_5WejE/v-deo.htmlsi=XwiYSpFYAM8zrsVX this video shows it . if you can find Epson LS300 or LS650 They are atleast Twice the brightness and image quality and their android is better working mor silent than Xiaomi 4K so if you are on tight budget Xiaomi will get the job done but it is has lot of flaws.
What is your screen size / Are you going to use it with ALR Screen or White Wall and Do you connect gaming console ?
this video shows even 720P Epson passes Xiaomi 4K in many expacts so I suggest Epson LS300 to you if you can buy for similar price

I have an old acer x111, but I guess the lamp is running out of life, yesterday it blinked green and made a real sound. I vacum and clean the van. Today its a bit better. But the lamp elapes 1708 hours. So i must buy another asap, before this collapse. I really like Xiaomi I have a Xiaomi box that runs with the acer with vga adapter to hdmi (very old school). With that said I have a large white wall that its pretty good and big and im used to a projector. Im thinking of Xiaomi mi or xiaomi 4k, or just a tv… Ive seen your vídeo about the epson. Will explore more. But im real into Xiaomi mi, that is not 4k. And the cost its ok. Hope you can help me out!

Great videos! Something I never see on UA-cam is the level of detail you can actualy get from projectors. They all talk about Contrast, brightness, saturation, etc... Displaying some text with different font sizes would be a great comparison. From previous videos I remember you saying that the epson would loose detail in the corners/edges. Would love to see the sharpness and detail you can get from a high end 4k laser short through projector vs a middle end 720p / 1080p short thorugh projecto.

@@homecinematech I think you are getting me wrong or dramatizing... This is a very simple test. Instead of puting HQ videos would be to put text with different font sizes to see the level of detail that they provide each projector. Specially the 4k laser short throw. I bought the EPSON 686Wi and the visibility of text is terrible. Good for watching movies or videos, but not very good quality for reading on the screen.

OK, so don't be fooled by this demonstration do you notice how much of the projector is showing on the wall above? The screen? Also blooming is absolutely absolutely horrendous on both of these projectors and will ruin your experience faster than you can snap your fingers I went this route. I tried cheap and it's just not worth it. Spend $600 on projector if you're gonna spend $3000 on a screen I did the right thing I purchased awolvision LTV 3500 triple laser projector that smokes anything on the market and I have no blooming. I can have a white cat on a total black background, and every single hair is visible. I can guarantee you on those junk projectors that this man showed you they would be blooming so bad that you wouldn't be able to separate one here from another, when it comes to short throw projectors he didn't tell you that there are plastic lenses in those cases and they look like junk but AWOL vision is camera quality glass. It's also larger than any of its competitors in the market. It also doesn't have 3-D so if you want, you're going to get cheap because you bought cheap.
