Seeing that chicken on her shoulder like a parrot makes me smile.
My chickens love shoulder rides. Usually, they get me when I least expect it and I find a bird climbing up my back or I get jumped on when I lean over to pick something up.
My easter eggers can fly 6-8 feet up, so I occasionally find one on my head.
Crazy birds, they are!

When my daughter was about 8 she found a naked baby Bluejay who had apparently been rejected. I bought her whatever she needed to nurse it. That bird hung around and stayed friendly for 17 years until one day he didn't return. RIP Stanley and I'll miss you shitting on my shoulder more times than I can count 💔

It is hard to believe that there are still people who genuinely have compassion towards all people and all creatures especially these days when even family members are hateful to each other. It's hard to find truly goodhearted people who are sensitive, passionate, compassionate, empathetic, loyal, honorable and who also have integrity. I've been surprised just at times when I'm losing faith in humanity.
She is not a human if humans are cruel. She is just an angel who seems in human body but actually is not to be human.

I don't think this clip is real. It's not the same chick and a bird doesn't lie on its side twitching from starvation.
@@starflyer3219 It wasn't starvation that it was twitching from, but the cold and wet. They will absolutely lay on their sides twitching like that when they are suffering from hypothermia. The starvation aspect likely contributed only in the fact that she didn't have the energy to keep going, or the fat necessary to keep her warm.
And one would be surprised how different a chicken can look wet and cold compared to dry, warm, and fluffy.

Ummm Adreana, chickens ARE birds. They're gallinaceous birds. Gallinaceous birds are among the birds that hatch with their eyes already opened, ready to walk, peck, and follow their mother or substitute mother around.

I'm 73 and since early childhood I always had a dog. Greatest experience for a kid. 1 Sheppard I had for 15 years. Another for 16 years!! What love they all gave was more than I could return! I'm very happy for your view on life!

Not wanting to spill the milk but this chicken is only affected to the human cause it was forced to. This is an unnatural behaviour and a kind of maladjustment. If a human forces an animal (which is usually no cuddly pet) to be around him all the time and robs him the opportunity to bond with conspecifics, the animal will adjust to the human cause it has nobody else.
If the chicken would have had the choice, either a human or other chickens to be raised up with, it would always have chosen the chickens.
But as this chicken was raised up alone (which is wrong and bad for the evolution of a healthy character), it isn't used to other chickens and it thinks it is normal to be bonded with a human.
Of course this woman saved the chicken, which was great, but no chicken should grow up alone. She robbed it the opportunity to live a normal chicken life.
@@petrescuework-difficultcas6581 true some wild animals have no choice but to stay with humans when they're taken straight out of the wild and raised in captivity to be kept as pets (such as certain species of wild tortoises... rather than tortoises that are already bred in captivity...), because they eventually lose what they need to survive in the wild...
but some wild animals are kept in captivity because they have injuries that'll give them a tough time in the wild and are looked after throughout the rest of their lives, such as someone like Jessi from AnimalWonders Monata who keeps a raven that has a broken wing and they cant do anything about the bird's wing, so they foster her...
dont worry though! Jessi is a wonderful person when it comes to taking care of animals in that situation! she rescues animals that went through illegal pet trades, went through neglect/abuse from previous owners or are just wild animals that need a safe and happy place to stay until the end

Eric Suh They descended from escaped domestic chickens, with few natural predators they reproduce like wildfire. Its actually a serious problem with serious ramifications for the ecosystem.
