So many dislikes, my gosh they saved the bird from dying. Any bird cannot fly if they are WET! Thanks to you two for saving this Eagle and helping him.
It would have been saved if it had been taken to a wildlife rehabilitator. It likely has a disease such as west nile virus or lead/mercury poisoning from fish. A vet could have figured out what the problem was and treated. All they did was dry it off, not save it. The fact that it looks fine from the outside, and flies fine, tells you next to nothing about its health.

It seems they understand odds pretty well. In situations where they'd most likely die, birds and some other animals too might voluntarily take the risk of turning to humans, knowing how they are resourceful, yet still aware it's a lottery with their life basically. As if they understand that 40% survival chance is a lot better than 5%.

The fish might have saved the eagle. It probably burned lots of calories trying to escape the cool water. I was actually surprised it would eat it given the crazy situation.

It's not all eagles....some eagles have oily wings and repel water and won't be affected by the water weight and can fly away easily with their prey.....
Hawks and eagles can swim too, theyre actually not useless should they fall in water most of the time. But swimming where he was would most certainly get him stuck like that, and if he’s young he definitely didnt figure it out that time, must have swam himself in the wrong place.

So many dislikes, my gosh they saved the bird from dying. Any bird cannot fly if they are WET!
Thanks to you two for saving this Eagle and helping him.
the dislikes could be because that woman couldn't stop yapping like a moron
The dislikes are because of the woman
Thank you for the kind words. He flew fine after he dried off.
@@anti0918 Yeah, unfortunately, that could be a possibilty, but at least it's not in the water anymore where it was almost helpless.

birds are smart and recognize those trying to help them, even adults realize it, though they'll still be standoffish, they'll accept the help.
So beautiful ❤️😌
Flyoffish
It seems they understand odds pretty well. In situations where they'd most likely die, birds and some other animals too might voluntarily take the risk of turning to humans, knowing how they are resourceful, yet still aware it's a lottery with their life basically. As if they understand that 40% survival chance is a lot better than 5%.
Thanks for explaining the complex psychology of a bird. Cause I'm sure you know these things very well
@@gentlemenofleisure12 like I said, birds are smart, and when they figure out that they aren't going to be hurt, they'll accept the help, especially fledglings, since they haven't developed the fear of humans yet. I've helped care for a few hawks, and while not the same species, they acted the same as this. We took care of them for a couple days while the wildlife reserve in my area would prep to come and get them.

A fledgling is any bird that has just left the nest, and still requires parental feeding and care, while learning how to feed themselves and other life lessons essential to survival. :)
At the start of his adventure: I REGRET NOTHING!
At the time of his predicament: I FUCKED UP!

just so you know, this is a Juvenile Golden Eagle or a Juvenile bald eagle (sometimes it is hard to tell the difference, especially in the video where the eagle is wet) . Many don't survive their first year as they can't find food and have trouble taking care of themselves. Its great you rescued this one.
The fish might have saved the eagle. It probably burned lots of calories trying to escape the cool water. I was actually surprised it would eat it given the crazy situation.
Best thing you could do for a wild animal after you save it and it dosnt need anything else besides time give him food and let him chill most animals are pretty chill to get food
@@ronaldwestbeal2269 problem with eagles is if they are to weak they wont eat anymore and have to be force fed a couple of weeks
