Well the voice is still there -and what voice! I recall hearing those harmonies he created with James Taylor on HER TOWN TOO..... A fine songwriter too, JD, always a joy to listen to.
My brother and I were playing in The Camelot Inn in Tulsa, Ok in about 1982. We played "When You're Only Lonely." When we went on break the bar manager came up to me and said. . "I went to school with JD, I know him very well. He says his life isn't all that great compared to other people's."
