Saw them live for the first time, opening for Deftones, which is my favorite band. Deftones killed it. Gojira ascended the entire building into the heavens. Live they honwstly sound even better than recordings. Its almost impossible to explain, because it sounds like im not being honest, i definitely am! My girlfriend had never heard of them, but their performance was so perfect and massive, that she was frozen in place for nearly the entire set as if she was looking at a diamond crystal the size of her head 😅🤣 They opened with this, shadows of them playing on a giant cloth that then fell to the ground. The performance was "Gojira x Deftones, Minneapolis- the Armory".
