I tend to watch a lot of Babymetal reactions because they're so good, and seeing people realize that is ... I don't know, heartwarming I guess. I like how much you seem to understand the talent on display with them, how you can see how the choreo is also such a part of their act. Maybe they are to different for 90% of the audience. The most people like it strait and clean and in the way they heard music a thousand times before. They just want to hear what they know over and over again. No surprises, please! Ok, thats' fine for them and there is a lot of noise around for this listeners. But it's not Gacharic Spin! Man, this song still hits as hard as it did 20 years ago. I don't know, maybe even harder now. One of the best things about you finding this song now is that you get to experience it get better and better over time. It's so unbelievably HEAVY. You gotta have that "interlude" live, because the rest of that song rolls over you like an endless barrage of tanks that is relentless and unmerciful until that very last note. Brilliant.

I met them and seen them in 09 at the Altar Bar in Pittsburgh 😊 They were super fun live. IWAB gave a goofy and party like vibe during there performances

Wonderful analysis. Yes - it is the changes of sound fields that makes this (and other Lovebites songs) interesting. There are several subtle changes in the ongoing overall sound. The guitars change their chugga chugga to choooga choooga and Asami changes her voice slightly and then (I think) they do key changes up and down. Or maybe it is just sound field changes. And then there is an Asami scream before the solo madness starts. They do it so delicious! And the Haruna segway you pointed out? That ends with a bonk on something, sounds like a door. Epic and surprising. And it is surprising the tenth time you listen to it. Their song writing is second to none.

Both versions of the Hammer of Wrath are just epic - both this one and the new one with Fami. I cannot decide which one I like the best. And the good thing is - I do not have to decide. I can listen to both! The only thing I do not like is that every reactor today react to the latest one. Because then this old masterpiece is doomed to be forgotten.

The live version you picked was a very early version of that song. They have ironed it out a lot if you seen it today it would be almost night and day. They started as a Maximum The Hormone cover band but have come to find their own sound. They are very skilled not only in their craft but there live performance's, If you go to see them you will leave with a smile on your face. If you ever get to see them live they do a Wall Of Death for TOUSOU! Chika is a absolute cannon on the drums. Hanabie. are going on a Canadian/NA tour in May and a EU tour in June/July!
